The problem/solution essay question presents you with

an issue which you need to discuss and then provide
possible solutions for.

Here you would talk about the problems caused by

overpopulation in the first body paragraph, and suggest
some government-led solutions in the second body
paragraph.
Overpopulating in urban regions is considered to be of detrimental nature.
This essay will examine the adverse ramifications of such social behavior;
also, it will emphasize on the possible means that are to be reflected on, in
order to overcome these hardships.

It is significant that the today’s society acknowledge the noisome impact

urbanization has on the environment. This consists in the fact that excessive
growth of urban dwellers overstrains the urban infrastructure, which in turn
leads to failures in numerous public service sectors, such as garbage
disposal facilities. For instance, the contemporary landfills are unable to
store and process all the urban litter, consequently, a great amount of it is
found polluting the marine life. Moreover, it poses a threat to the natural
habitat of numerous species. For instance, the panda population in China is
considered in great danger, due to the unreasonable land clearance taking
place across many rural and tropical lands neighbouring their cities.
One way to tackle this issue, would be if the government decides to promote
garbage recycling and invests in companies oriented in development of bio-
degradable materials. Since the main problem is the time required for the
different components to decay in nature, and such materials on the basis of
natural ingredients would easily decompose, without leaving any residue
behind. Another positive technique would be refining of the master urban
development plans. Should the state recruited different ecologists and
environmentalists, and should it incorporated their researches into the city
developments strategies, many of the bio populations would be as well as
the delicately balanced ecosystem would be preserved.

To summarize, the exorbitant urbanization is endangering the nature and its

species. However, if the government espoused new recycling policies and if
it introduces enhanced master developing plans the negative impacts would
be minimized to minimum.
