Fundamental positions of arms and feet in folk dance

Arm fundamental positions

1st position

Place both arms in front, chest level, arms are slightly bent.

2nd position

Open arms sideward, shoulder level, arms slightly bent.

3rd position

Bring left (right) arm overhead, passing 1 st position arms are slightly bent.

4th position

Bring right (left) arm in 1st position, arms are slightly bent.

5th position

Bring right (left) overhead, arms are slightly bent.

Fundamental positions of the feet

1st position

Bring heels close touching together, toes apart.

2nd position

Step right (left foot sideward right.

3rd position

Bring right (left) heel touching the instep of left (right) foot.

4th position

Bring right foot pointing in front of the left (right) foot.

5th position

Bring right (left) heel touching the to of the left (right) foot.
