1 Preliminary steps for the job 1.1 No valid permit to work 1.1.1 Permit shall be obtained prior to commence the

2.2.5 Always grip the ladder and face the ladder rungs
while climbing or descending—don’t slide down
the stiles.
2.2.6 Avoid holding tools or other object while
climbing. REDA
2.2.7 Avoid over-reaching.
2.2.8 Ladder feet should be fitted with rubber for
strong grip with ground.
2.2.9 One person should hold the ladder while
working on ladder.
2.2.10 Do not lean ladder with wall or any other object.
2.2.11 Do not place ladder on any object.
2.2.12 Persons must be trained in order to work on
step ladder.
3 Use of scaffolding for work at 3.1 Uninspected, poor 3.1.1 Scaffold must be inspected by authorized REDA

3.4 Personnel injury 3.4.1 Use all mandatory PPEs all the time along with

3.4.2 Peoples must use chip strap while work at
height.
3.5 Scaffold may collapse 3.5.1 Scaffold must be erected on firm level ground.
3.5.2 Before every use, ensure that scaffold is in stable
condition & all components are in place. REDA
3.5.3 Scaffold must be re-inspect after hit by any
moving equipment, alteration, or heavy winds.
3.6 Unauthorized 3.6.1 Erection, dismantling & modification is only REDA
