GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

 Form a group for preparation of Assignment (STRICTLY no more than 5


students per group except with the permission of the Lecturer).
 If you are having problems with finding group members, inform your respective
lecturer as early as possible. Please do not inform last minutes just before the
submission date.
 Group member names must be registered in MMLS Groups in your respective
tutorial sessions.
 Group members must be strictly from your own tutorial group.
 Adhere to the submission requirements and the deadline for submission.

ALLOCATION OF MARKS

 The Project carries 20 marks. (Written: 20 marks)

WRITTEN SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

 Times New Roman (font: 12) with Line spacing is 1.5 spacing;
 Reference/Citation Style – OSCOLA Style;
 Do not exceed 25 pages. (including footnotes and bibliography).

SUBMISSION DATE

Submission date: 12th February 2020 (Friday) by 5:00 PM via google form
which will be provided later.
PLAGIARISM

i) Participation of all members in each group is crucial. Teamwork shall be


accounted. (No free riders are allowed)
ii) Ensure that you submit the assignment by the due date and time specified.
Omission or failure to submit the assignment by the due date and time due
for any reason, will not be accepted.
iii) Please do not involve in plagiarizing. If you are caught plagiarizing, your
grade will be reduced to zero, or at worst, you could be excluded from the
course.
iv) Ensure that you give credit to the original source in footnotes if you use
other peoples’ ideas or works in your assignment.
v) Please be reminded that Plagiarism is a serious offence in academia.

ASSIGNMENT QUESTION

Discuss the characteristics and applicability of the Convention on Contract


for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Despite its significant role as a
successful unification of international sale laws, CISG is still subjected to
criticisms. As an international commercial lawyer, would you recommend
Malaysia to adopt CISG and incorporate it into Malaysia’s sale of goods
law? Why or why not?
