Rough Opening
This is the most reliable way to order a With or Without Nailing Flange window or door.
Rough Opening is the size of the opening the window or door will be installed into. This is measured from stud to stud on width, and sill to

If you are removing the entire existing window or door, the interior casing would need to be remove to get accurate dimensions.

You can also order a unit by actual frame size. You may need to do this is you are replacing a window or door and increasing or decreasing the
overall size, or have a rough opening that is out of square and needs to be adjusted for the installation.

height for a vinyl window or door, and ¾” larger on rough opening width and height for a wood window or door
