Tropical Revolving Storm(TRS)
• A tropical revolving storm is a rapidly-rotating
storm characterized by low pressure centre, strong
winds and a spiral arrangement of thunderstorms.
• TRS forms over large bodies of warm water and
they develop the energy from the ocean surface.
• These tropical cyclones take birth in the warm
oceanic region and move towards the
continents.
• TRS tends to move in counter-clockwise in Northern
hemisphere and clockwise in Southern hemisphere
