2.1.2 Panel startup after controlled heater type setting

When the controlled heater is chosen and confirmed, the display shows the Start screen (see
Picture 5 – START screen)

2.1.3 System start up

When starting up, the display shows a "wait" screen; during this time the producer's logo
appears on the second line while on the first line the current room temperature and time will be
shown. This screen is shown in Picture 3:

When the display backlighting is off, when any key is pressed it turns back on, and the

Firing (or shutting-down) the controlled heater is accomplished by pressing the ON/OFF key
(key #5) from within the START screen; the board will beep and the displayed status will be updated.

2.2 QUICK ACCESS FUNCTIONS

By pressing one of the 4 side buttons from within the START screen changes the display to the
SELECTION screen (see Picture 7), where the "quick access functions" may be set.

heater is in auto mode its operation is not controlled by the room temperature, but by the external
room thermostat (see Picture 8 - Room thermostat active screen).
If the controlled heater has no blowing fan, the string on the display won't appear, and the
corresponding key will be disabled.
If the controlled heater is equipped with multiple blowing fans, see paragraph 2.2.3

Temp/Fire key (key #2) (except when the room thermostat is set active; in this case the key is
disabled). By holding the key pressed for 2s the selection screen will appear (see Picture 9); from
within this screen the requested value may be changed in 1°C steps, starting from a minimum value of

holding the key pressed for 2s, the selection screen will appear (see Picture 10); from within this
screen the value may be changed by1 level steps, within an interval ranging from 1 to the maximum
value which depends on the controlled heater model (3 ÷ 6).

In both cases described above, the value on the top line flashes to let the user know that it may
now be changed. By pressing the buttons + (key #4) and - (key #2), the value may be
increased/decreased, while the key Ok (key #3) confirms the new value and the display reverts to the
SELECTION screen (see Picture 7).
By pressing the esc key (key #1), the display returns to the SELECTION screen without
confirming the new value. The display returns to the START screen without confirming the new value
by pressing the On/Off key (key #5).

2.2.2 ECO mode

(see § 2.3.7)
In Manual Mode, it’s possible to enable this function only if the Thermostat option is active .
In the Automatic Mode , however, it’s always possible to enable this function .
ECO function remains active until it is set off from within the setting menu (see § 2.3.7).

2.2.3 Fan speed fine adjustment

If the heater is equipped with two blowing fans, the key Fan allows to display the speeds of the
two fans without modifying their set values. As shown in Picture 11, the number of the one currently
being displayed is appended to “Fan”.

The display returns to the SELECTION screen without confirming the new value by pressing the
esc key (key #1) . By the way, should the On/Off key (key #5) be pressed, also in this case the display
does not confirm the new value and returns to the START screen.

2.2.4 "Hybrid" mode

The control system may operate in a power regulation mode which takes in account both the
user requested room temperature setpoint and the set power step. In such a case, the display shows
this screen (Picture 14 – "Hybrid" mode screen). From within this screen, the user may quickly set
both the said operating parameters.

informed that it can now be changed, while “Set” is replaced by “Ok”; the two bottom keys may be two
arrows or may also change in +/-, depending on the displayed data type; they are used to increase or
decrease the data value. The new value is confirmed by pressing the Ok key; then, the display reverts
to the previous screen (unflashing).
By pressing the esc key (key #1), the display will return to the previous screen without
confirming the new value. The display returns to the START screen without confirming the new value
by pressing the On/Off key (key #5).

defined weekly on/off time pattern; when active, the relevant string is displayed in the START screen,
as described in Table 1.
The option “Reset ” is used to cancel all current settings which will be taken back to the default; a

The scheduling options may be accessed in a new menu level, with a set of data and parameters
as detailed in Table 7.

Function Value
Enable ON/OFF
Start 0-23 (15 min steps)
Stop 0-24 (15 min steps)
Air Temperature 5-40 (18 by default)
Water Temperature 30-85 (60 by default)
Fire 1-6 (1 by default)
Days Mo-Su
Table 7 – Chrono options list

To have each daily scheduling set active, both the start and the stop hours must be set in order to
define a valid time interval.
The room temperature, the current power the heater must run at and the water temperature
data are sent to the main board for each on time interval. This allows the user to get a high comfort
degree within each on time interval. Should two or more schedulings be overlapped, the scheduling
pattern with the lower index will have priority over the other one.
The last item is used to choose the day of the week which will use that daily on/off time pattern.

Note:
 If two timer programs are enabled with consecutive time periods, the stove will stay on
for the entire time indicated in the two periods, changing only the air, water and fire
temperature settings of each program.
 If during the first of the two consecutive programs enabled the user changes one of the
temperature or fire value settings, the values changed by the user are automatically set
for the duration of the timer period, ignoring the temperature and fire settings in the
next program. If a power outage occurs after the user has made the changes, the above
settings will be ignored and the temperature and fire values for the two programs will
be restored to the initial values.

2.3.4.1 Weekly profiles

A set of pre-defined weekly profiles is available for the quick setting up of usable on/off time
programs; each profile may use one or more of the 6 preset on/off time intervals (starting from the
#1): every preset time interval is characterized by the start/stop hours and the day(s) of the week the
on/off time interval will be associated with; by this way, the whole week may be covered by
associating the available on/off time intervals with each day of the week.
When the user has selected the profile, all the 6 hour on/off time intervals are reset and set back
to the settings defined by the chosen profile. For what concerns the other settings (fire, room and
water temperatures), the current settings will be used.
When a profile has been selected, the user is allowed anyhow to freely change the 6 hour on/off
time intervals.
In Picture 16 the weekly on/off time patterns associated with the available profiles are shown.

minutes after the current time. Every time the keys + (key #4) or - (key #2) are pressed, the shutdown
