Tw o d ifferent Hunter Doug la s p ro d uc ts m a y q ua lify for the ta x c red it a s follo w s:

(1)Certa in Duette® Arc hitella ® hone yc o m b sha d e s w ith q ua lifying fa b ric s a nd lifting syste m s
tha t a re insid e m ounted over d oub le g la zed w ind ow s.

(2) The LiteRise® Trim Kit, w hen used on c erta in Duette® a nd Ap p la use® ho neyc o m b sha d es,
a nd m ounte d over “ low -e” d o ub le -p a ne g la ss w ind ow s. The Trim Kit d oes no t q ua lify w he n
used w ith sha d es w ith sheer or sem i-sheer fa b ric s. The ta x c red it a p p lies to the a m ount p a id
for the Trim Kit surc ha rg e o nly.

3. How much is the Federa l Ta x Credit?

Qua lifying p rod uc ts a re elig ib le for a ta x c red it of 30% of the c ost, up to $1,500 in tota l d uring
the 2009 & 2010 ta x yea rs $1,500 is the m a xim um c o m b ined tota l a m ount tha t c a n b e c la im ed
fo r a ll p urc ha ses o f q ua lifying energ y effic ient p rod uc ts p la c ed in servic e d uring this p eriod .

The ta x c red it fo r your q ua lifying Hunter Doug la s p rod uc t is 30% of the p urc ha se p ric e to you
for the p rod uc t only (exc lud ing sa les ta x, m ea suring a nd insta lla tion c ha rg e s), up to $1,500. If
you ta ke a d va nta g e of a ny Hunter Doug la s or other reb a te p rog ra m a nd you rec eive a
reb a te on your p urc ha se p ric e, you m ust red uc e the a m ount tha t you c om p ute the c red it on

6. Is the $1,500 Ta x Credit for ea ch product I buy in 2009 a nd 2010?

Even if you p urc ha se m ultip le q ua lifying p rod uc ts you c a n only g et a m a xim um of
$1,500 ta x c red it over the 2-yea r q ua lifying p eriod . Ba sic a lly yo u c a n sp e nd up to $5,000
d uring this 2 yea r p eriod on a sing le p rod uc t or m ultip le p rod uc ts, a nd g et 30% or $1,500
(30% of $5,000 = $1,500) b a c k a s a ta x c red it. If yo u g et the entire $1,500 c red it in 2009,
then you c a n't g et a nything a d d itiona l in 2010. Consult w ith your ta x a d visor to d eterm ine
your elig ib ility for this ta x c red it.

7. Wha t ta x form do I need to submit for this specia l Federa l Ta x Credit?

To c la im the ta x c red it, you w ill need to c om p lete the a p p lic a b le IRS form s a nd sub m it them
w ith your 2009 or 2010 ta x returns, d ep e nd ent on w hen your p urc ha se w a s m a d e. The c red it is
usua lly ta ken on Form 5695. Ho w ever, the IRS ha s no t yet issued this form for 2009, so yo u
should c o nsult your Ta x Ad visor a s to the c orrec t 2009 form to file or visit the IRS w eb site. Also
sa ve your rec eip ts a nd the Ma nufa c turer's Certific a tion Sta tem ent for yo ur rec ord s.
