Section I - The Basics
What is USPA?
The United States Psychotronics Association (USPA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded
in 1975 to serve as a focal point for scientific and technical exploration of the universe of esoteric,
spiritual, and psychic arts in the United States of America.
The USPA has been hosting annual conferences for its membership since its formation and has
featured countless individuals with cutting-edge viewpoints, research, or theories to share, allowing any
interested persons to openly discuss their work.

What is Psychotronics?
USPA defines psychotronics as the science of mind-body-environment relationships, an
interdisciplinary science concerned with the interactions of matter, energy, and consciousness.
Psychotronics involves the study, research, and applications of the physics and technology of the
mind, brain, spirit, consciousness, and the underlying forces of life and nature – hence the term
“psychotronics”.
We believe that a true understanding of the universe must include the spiritual, as well as, the
technical, and provide an opportunity for amateur researchers to present their findings along with the
professionals.
We stress research, with documentation of results, and practical applications, rather than personal
experience and unsupported hypotheses.

This month’s webinar will be shown in honor of Hugh Lovel, who has
left us far too soon. Hugh Lovel was a farmer and an international
consultant to dairy farms, graziers, broadacre grain growers, and fruit and
vegetable producers.
As a multidisciplinary scientist, Hugh introduced comprehensive soil
testing using both the Albrecht approach and a total acid digest test that
more clearly reveals what is actually present in soils.
Above all he had been a leading pioneer of the new science of Quantum
Agriculture. Hugh Lovel is the author of A Biodynamic Farm, for
Growing Wholesome Food and Quantum Agriculture: Biodynamics
and Beyond.
He is the original designer of the Field Broadcaster quantum technology and the Quantum Radionic
Analyser. His articles appeared in Acres USA and related organic farming periodicals such as Acres
Australia and biodynamic journals around the world.
He was a welcome presenter at the USPA Conferences.

Since the founding of USPA in 1975, top speakers have made presentations at our
annual conferences. These speakers are involved in the leading edges of science, especially
the Phenomena of Mind-Body and technology. USPA Conference Audio Recordings offer
over 1400 of our speakers under various formats during 38 of our 41 annual conferences.
When we started recording talks in 1978, we only had audio cassettes tapes. The first
eighteen years of these cassette recordings have now been converted to MP3 audio digital
format (plus 2015). These MP3 files can be ordered and transferred via email. See order
sheet on the last page of this document. Individual lectures are $6.00 each; $5.00 each for
purchase of ten or more in one order. Sets are priced separately.

Video recordings using VHS tapes started in 1982 and ran thru 2002. DVDs started in
2003 until the latest format MP4 digital Audio / Visual format began in 2015. Many of these

Section III - What Are Others Up To?

TRANSCRIPTION, TRANSCRIPTION, TRANSCRIPTION!
At last month’s USPA board meeting, our Secretary/Treasurer Scott
Beutlich was given a hearty “go ahead” to have our VHS and DVD
recordings sent out for conversion to digital media!
He has vetted several companies, and is in the process of having
small sets of our recordings done by two studios for comparison. From
the latest word I heard from Scott, both companies have been doing an
excellent job. We will soon be fully in the 21st century with all of our
recordings!
We are doing this, partly in response to a sad trend we’ve seen in the
past. When a famous scientist dies, more often than you would believe,
his or her work – notes, recordings, diaries, etc. - is unceremoniously
destroyed by family members. We hope to reverse this by preserving as
much of the history of our branches of science as possible and make
them available for students of the future.
Our newsletter editor John Reed has done an enormous amount of
this preservation work too. He has scanned to pdf thousands of pages of scientific work. He has
preserved most of our USPA newsletters, journals and proceedings and much more. Many thanks to
John for all of his work!
IN conjunction to this work, USPA has now found itself “buried” under a mountain of historical
data in the form of DVD and VHS recordings.
So, we thought – What are we going to do with all the originals??

Aaron is running a You Tube channel 802 Garage. He does mechanical work for others for pay
and is doing some really cool projects of his own for his channel. He is keeping up with the
computer expertise he went to school for. But right now, he has 77 thousand followers on
TickTock.

I am working (for monthly salary) for the USPA, and still selling Ebay, and submitting an
occasional story to local pubs. I have finished a major novel "The Missing Mile" and if you want
it as a pdf - ask. I am trying to get it traditionally published. I have a Girl Scout Mystery book on
Amazon under the pen name Windy Gail. It is called "A Horse, a Heart, a Hat." Don't buy it. If
you know someone who would like to read it, I'll send you a copy.

Corey is doing well. He is currently living with his longtime friend Andy Patoine in the house
they are building, one section at a time. They were there together since last winter. The home
now has hot and cold running water and a wood stove and is small, but nice.

Heather is currently in her 6th year in China. Doing well. She recently had to move because
her landlord "wanted the apartment she was renting for his relatives!!" She wanted to come to
the US for a wedding and visits mid Spring - but...then Covid. She can't visit home because
they won't let her back into China. But, she is doing okay. Sort of.

Kelly, Robert, Michael and Jeremy are all well. They are working as they can, but are all safe.
Trent had an Aortic dissection a month ago -potentially life threatening. He is "okay now."
The old Indian Chief I care for - turned 90 in February. (Docs gave him 4-16 weeks to live in
May of 2018!!!!)

I will let the rest of you (hopefully) tell your own current stories.

Al's Alternative Energy Reading Corner – with Al Kacperski

This month, I want to recommend the documentary "Newman" about the life and inventions
of Joseph Westley Newman (July 2, 1936 – March 6, 2015).
You can get it on Amazon. He was extremely dedicated to bringing cheap clean energy to the
world. He failed to do so and this is clearly shown in the film. It is also clearly shown that it really
worked. It has a rather shocking, sad ending.
The invention itself was a motor. Unlike conventional motors that wrap wire coils around steel,
this motor had a permanent magnet rotor and a very, very large copper coil around it.
He found the textbook equation for the force on a current carrying conductor in a uniform
magnetic field. It is F=ILxB. F is the force between magnet and wire. I is the current in the wire. L
is the length of the wire. B is the flux density of the magnet. The x is a symbol for cross product.

Newman realized that if the coil was long enough, the motor would be very efficient. Engineers
and physicists disagreed. So Newman invited many of them to come over and measure the
performance themselves.
They all scratched their heads because it seemed that Newman's claims were true. So get the
movie and watch it. You will learn a lot!

Psychotronics: Tuning Into the Next Dimension – with Bob Beutlich

(Scott Beutlich offered this interesting read from 2002 on psychotronics: interaction
of mind and matter, union of physics and metaphysics.)
Tinkering with black boxes and headphones, dials and electromagnetic fields, Bob Beutlich is
spending his retirement years in his rural home north of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, searching for the scientific
truth behind psychic phenomena. He places a lightweight headset over his shock of white hair, holds out
an attached small box about the size of a transistor radio and explains this is an instrument that can help
heal addictions, called a "brain tuner." The dampened, padded ends of the headset sit not in the ear but
over the mastoid bone for maximum effect.
Psychotronics is the catchall name Beutlich and other members of the U.S. Psychotronics Association
(USPA) apply to the interdisciplinary studies to which they've devoted their lives. That's "Psycho" for
mind-consciousness and "Tronics" for physics and instrumentation. By marrying the human mind to
electronic instruments, they believe, mankind can extend its senses to realms beyond our physical world,
and achieve a more harmonious state of existence.
"We are not an 'experiencing' type of group," noted Beutlich recently in his sunny living room filled
with a cheerful clutter of books, stacks of papers and scientific journals. "We don't do séances or New
Age type retreats or things like that. We look at the technical side; it's the hard nuts and bolts theory of
how psychic phenomena work within alternate realities."
Beutlich, an electronics engineer originally from Chicago, who used to design TV stations, has been
treasurer of the organization for the past 20 years. The group has about 600 members nationally, and
Beutlich, 77, is the only Elkhorn member. He belonged to a chapter in Chicago for 20 years that is now
disbanded, and Beutlich says there was a small group in Darien that is now also gone. Most members
tend to be individuals like Beutlich, with only 4 active chapters around the country... 2 in Ohio, 1 in
Atlanta and another on the west coast, said Beutlich.
"We're a non-profit, all volunteer group scattered all over the country," he said. "We meet annually at
a conference, usually in July." Last year's get together, the group's 27th since its founding in 1975, was
held in Columbus, Ohio. The conference theme..."2001: A Spiritual Odyssey, exploring the Quantum
Universe." The main speaker was a noted researcher in the field of alternative health.

QUANTUM HEALTH--- At first blush, alternative health may seem a bit far afield from the topics
of ESP and electronic instrumentation. But adherents of Psychotronics see a connecting link. Although
Psychotronics publications state that the group "holds no single viewpoint," there is general agreement
among members that "man and all life forms share a common ground in that they are submerged in the
electromagnetic field of the earth." Each life form, in turn, has its own electromagnetic field, and
distortions of these fields are the cause of diseases in organisms. It follows, then, in their line of thought,
that correcting the energy distortions should enable healing.
Psychotronics members study and experiment with a healing method called Radionics that is based
on these assumptions. Radionics has its own separate association in England, and was invented by San
Francisco physician Dr. Albert Abrams around the beginning of the last century. It is defined as "a
method of healing at a distance through the medium of an instrument using the ESP (extrasensory
perception) facility."
In plain English," said Beutlich, "it's merely an extension of hands-on healing."
According to the association's statement, "a trained and competent practitioner can discover the cause
of disease within any living system, be it a human being, an animal, a plant, or the soil itself." In short,
practitioners use ESP combined with electronic instruments to detect, in Star Wars lingo, "disturbances
in the force." They operate much as a water dowser might, said Beutlich, by training to sense variations
in energy fields.

 But it gets more technical than that. Believing that all solid matter is just a different level of energy,
Radionics sees each organ and disease as having its own particular vibration or frequency. The
frequencies are put into numerical values Radionics proponents call "rates," which correspond to
calibrated dials on the radionics instruments.

BLACK BOXES--- The instruments used are actually fairly simple and are referred to as "black
boxes." "That term was coined some time ago," said Beutlich. "It means something comes in, it does
something, and something else comes back out. It's quite mysterious as to what's going on in there. In
World War II you had black boxes in aircraft that transmitted identifying signals," he continued, "but in
this field, a black box is used to detect an energy pattern using waves we call scalar waves. Scalar waves
are the way information is transmitted on the other side, where the types of signals are totally different
than in this world." The boxes are of two main types, those containing capacitors much like radio tuning
capacitors, and those containing banks of resistors. In both cases, the human operator uses the dials to
"tune in" to vibrations not of this world, similar to tuning in a radio station.
"You need a human operator who is trained to be able to detect and transmit," said Beutlich. "It's a
prayer box....prayer does work. When you train people to focus their intent, they can affect energy fields
surrounding a person, plant, or animal." Operators can tell when they are receiving a "hit" by intuition or
by physical clues such as electrostatic charges appearing on the surface of their skin, or their blood
vessels dilating. In more common terms, hair standing on end and goosebumps. "We prefer to use the
term 'intuitive' rather than psychic," noted Beutlich. But once a hit is perceived, the user can check what
numbers the dial is tuned to, and look them up in Radionics "rate" books to help decipher the meaning.
If it's an illness that's being checked for, the operator can then go to "Treat" mode and reverse the
process to help effect a healing. It's not a technique one can pick up overnight, and the association deals
with that by providing a vast amount of supporting literature and training.
Reading through the Psychotronics Newsletter, members can find treatises on everything from
quantum mechanics to musical intervals and mathematics. They can also find notes on best materials for
equipment (the best glass is pure quartz, Beverly second is Boron-Silicon type glass beakers) and
equipment exchanges. Psychotronics members do not manufacture or sell equipment of any kind, but
they do freely exchange information, including addresses of companies that do sell the equipment. In
addition, the association has been meticulous about recording every talk made at each of their annual
conventions, and recordings from 1978-2000 are available in the form of transcripts and audio/visual
material for modest prices.
An interested newcomer could begin with a set of tapes by Beutlich called "Beginner's Radionics,"
proceeding to intermediate and advanced versions. He or she might spend a little more time listening to
Thomas Bearden's "Action at a Distance: The Fundamental Mechanism of Radionics," or watch a video,
"Unification of the Four forces of Nature with the Mind," or "Sound Harvest: Music and Management of
the Soil." And the newcomer would barely have dented the volume of material offered by the
Association, which is added to every year at the annual convention. Last year's major guest speaker was
be Dr. Larry Dossey, M.D., said Beutlich.
Dossey is a noted author and senior editor of Alternative Health magazine. "He has written 6 books in
the alternative health field," added Beutlich, which include "Healing Words," "Reinventing Medicine,"
and "Prayer is Good Medicine." Other speakers will address topics like "Radionic Photography and
Quantum Physics," "The Metabolic Science of Reversing the Aging Process," and researcher Tom
Bearden who promises to discuss his operating "Free Energy" device.

SPIRITUAL DOWSING--- Bob Beutlich is a trained water dowser, himself, and has located two
wells on his own property by dowsing. He was taught by his father, he said. He began to investigate
psychic phenomena as a young man, but was always frustrated by the lack of explanations for the
experiences. Then he attended a meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1975, organized by psychic and

scientific researcher J. G. Gallimore and attended by 80 other seekers. Gallimore's meeting dealt with his
attempts to understand the energy flows he was able to see around people, animals, objects and
machines. The group met again the next year in Washington, D.C., and formally organized the USPA.
"We don't do psychic investigations per se," said Beutlich. "We're after how the stuff really works.
There's a good explanation once you get into quantum physics where everything gets weird. But it does
take a human with psychic abilities to make the system work," he said.
"The phenomenology is still dependent on a human interface link who is able to contact the spirit
realm and transduce a signal into one we can perceive," said Beutlich. "On the other side, there are all
domains of time...we live in a space world; they live in a time world. So these energy fields that exist on
the other side are coherent and are spiritual entities who may or may not have lived. Once a spirit is
created it lives forever...enters at birth and leaves at death. We come into earth to experience solid stuff,"
said Beutlich.
Sometimes the experimenters have problems with "spirits" they didn't intend to contact, Beutlich
noted. "We have had problems on and off with entities buzzing through; they see a bright light and want
to find out what's going on. There have been occasional individuals who've made contact with those
from the spiritual side."
On the other hand, there are times the researchers do try to pick up messages from "other worlds,"
said Beutich. "You can hook up a diode and antenna, turn a tape recorder on "play" and voices from the
past will be picked up on it."
So where does religion fit into this? Religion per se is not discussed at Association meetings, said
Beutlich, except in the most non-denominational terms. But Beutlich says the understanding he's gained
through the practice of Psychotronics has only deepened his personal faith. He is a practicing
Episcopalian and still attends church regularly. "It has changed my belief in the Bible from just a
namby-pamby view into a concrete, material thing that is the center of my life," he said. "I'm more
devout, more aware now than ever."
And while Beutlich prefers to live and work in his rural, lakeside setting, he has made a few national
waves in his field. He was on a committee for the National Institute of Health in 1992 and helped write
up the protocols to establish the National Office of Alternative Medicine for that organization. And last
spring, he was interviewed for a 20/20 TV show that aired in April. Beutlich was not the main subject,
but gave a side interview regarding a New York doctor who included Radionics among many
controversial practices that brought the doctor to the show's attention. "They didn't tell me the show was
going to be just a slam against him," said Beutlich. Although many of the Association's founding
members have passed on to that "other side" the group tries so hard to understand, Beutlich is still sure
the group's studies have a big role to play in coming years. He wrote in one of last year's newsletters,
"the spirit that has kept the USPA alive is the unstinting willingness to share our experimental and
experiential results. For none should doubt that we were destined to fill this roll and close the gap
between science, religion, and man."
And Beutlich sees a sort of inevitability to the trend of using instruments to help the human psyche
peer into worlds previously hidden. "Technology is moving ahead whether the world likes it or not,"
said Beutlich.

will be inserted, I have put [f] throughout.)

Perhaps no other scientific-sounding information said to have been paranormally received has had
more people experimenting with it in the past 20 years than what has come to be known as the inert gas
technology. From the beginning, this information has been distinguished by its balance between a
consistent theoretical level, which describes in a totally new way the nature of certain fundamental
aspects of physical reality, and a much more nuts-and-bolts engineering level, which explains exactly
how to get real world results. Given the dozens of people over the years who have pursued this inert gas
technology and who have claimed success in their experimentation, two of the chief tenets of science
seem to have been satisfied: being able to successfully predict and replicate.
This is the story of this unusual information, about where it came from and how it came, and about
those who have worked with it since it was first received and what have been the results. What follows
epitomizes a case of scientific information from a paranormal source that started with something that
just sounded scientific and ended up with people achieving tangible results, leading to repeated
demonstrations of efficacy, verification, and corroboration of what was contained in the original
unusually received material.
Before proceeding, recall from your high school chemistry, that the inert (or “noble”) gases are the
elements Helium, Neon, Argon, Krypton, and Xenon. All can be found naturally in our atmosphere, the
most prevalent being Argon and the rarest being Xenon. They are called “inert” because they do not
combine naturally in nature and so there are no naturally occurring compounds containing these
elements, except under certain laboratory conditions.
Everything described in this chapter has been accomplished without any support from the usual
avenues of established scientific endeavor: no university basing or affiliation; no research funding from
any of the usual governmental or private sources; no possibilities of publication in any serious magazine
or journal; no interest shown, or support provided, by anyone or anyplace within mainstream science
and technology.
This is the story of how a handful of independent researchers, completely on their own and mostly
working separately, with only the most meager finances, and with no encouragement save from each
other, have been able to anchor some quite bizarre-sounding ideas and suggestions to tangible results
and repeatable applications.
One can only imagine what might have resulted, or what might yet result, if even the most modest
interest, support, and collaboration were ever offered to such pioneering endeavor by just a few
individuals, organizations, institutions, or agencies within the research and academic community
comprising the current scientific establishment.
But, as you will see, it is the highly unusual nature of what was originally communicated, as well as
the highly unusual nature of the source from which it was reported to have come, that made the
likelihood of interest or acceptance on the part of traditionally based science slim indeed. Yet, as this
story unfolds, a case may well be able to be made for the larger scientific community taking what is
described here more seriously.

Where This Information Came From and How It Was Received

Everything in this chapter can be traced to information provided by a being named “Hilarion,”
described as non-human, non-physically based, and existing on a higher-dimensional or higher-

frequency, more spiritual, plane of existence, a being who nonetheless was said to be able to
communicate to two physically embodied human beings here on Earth.
“Hilarion” first began to communicate messages to Maurice B. Cooke, a successful Toronto
scientist and businessman through the earlier-described process known as channeling [channeling will
have been defined earlier in the book]. Starting in 1979, and into the early 1980s, Cooke published a
series of books based on Hilarion’s communications to him. He tells how he inadvertently developed his
channeling ability through experimentation “with certain techniques of mental yoga by which the
conscious mind can be stilled, and then attuned to sources other than itself.” [f]
As a result, Cooke wrote, “it appears to be possible to receive symbolic, conceptual or verbal
information which may contain insights into areas beyond those with which the mind is normally
familiar.” [f]
Cooke also addresses the ultimate, perhaps forever unknowable, nature of the source of his
information: “Some have suggested that the experimenter reaches no further than his own subconscious,
while others believe that information comes from entities that have their existence quite distinct and
apart from the experimenter.” [f]
Admitting that “in the last analysis one can never be absolutely certain what one is dealing with,” he
asserts that a better test is to see if the tone of the “transmitted material” “is one of spiritual uplift and
encouragement, if it presents a higher view of reality than that commonly held.” [f]
Then he presents another “test” of such channeled material, and one that is extremely relevant to
this chapter and the rest of this book, which “involves the technical verification of statements which
relate to the scientific area.” [f]
Even in 1978, only shortly after starting to channel Hilarion, Cooke could write: “in the company of
two friends who are also scientifically trained, I began a program of experimental testing and
verification which is still continuing... The results of our work to date are very encouraging. Several
quite remarkable effects have been created in our laboratory, which have tended to verify the scientific
statements made in the transmitted text,”[f] and “there seems little doubt that the approach set forth in
the transmitted text points the way to a new science, one which promises to yield up more of nature’s
secrets, and which perhaps will one day allow mankind to advance into wholly new fields of scientific
achievement.” [f]

While the Canadian Maurice B. Cooke was the first to publish channeled information from Hilarion
in 1979, a second person, in the United States, Jon C. Fox, an electronics engineer by training, also made
contact with and began to channel around the same time what Cooke, Fox, and others agree was the
same entity—Hilarion. After reading one of the Hilarion/Cooke books that described the inert gas
technology, Fox describes how he and Hilarion first made contact: “As I began to investigate the inert
gases, I found that I needed to get more intuitive information, so I went to visit a psychic. Her response
was that she could not channel the technical information that I wanted—and that I could! Then she
asked me if I would like to learn how to do that. That was in 1983. But to that point, I had built some of
the devices [described by Hilarion through Cooke] and played around with them. And I had lots and lots
of questions, but I had never “channeled” per se. She showed me what to do. I was to get very relaxed,
say a prayer of protection and go into a deep trance to access this energy, which calls itself Hilarion.” [f]

While Cooke never specifically described the Hilarion he channeled, according to

Fox, “there are many historical references to Hilarion, as perhaps an earlier incarnation of
Plato—perhaps, St. John the Apostle...But my particular contact appears to be from an Atlantean
incarnation [Fox’s own], when I was aware of things scientific and worked with Hilarion in ways of
learning about the science of the time. That’s what has come to me intuitively.” The name Hilarion has
also cropped up as a communicating entity elsewhere in the channeled literature, where he is variously
characterized as an “ascended master,” a high member of the “spiritual hierarchy” or “White

Brotherhood, “and as the “Cohan of the Fifth Ray,” specializing in science in general and healing in
particular.

Compare Cooke’s earlier description of his channeling process with how Fox here describes his
process:
Relaxing, I breathe deeply and imagine the breath moving in and out of my third eye, giving it the
internal sounds of “hong...sau...hong...sau.” After about a minute, I say a prayer of protection, out loud,
calling in Almighty God, the Highest Christ, Babaji Krishna, Mother Mary, Hilarion, and Sathya Sai
Baba. I relax each part of my body, allowing my breath to become rhythmic and even. I see myself in an
empty movie theater—whatever appears on the screen, whatever sounds come from the speakers are
okay. Then I say silently to myself, “I’m asking for Hilarion to come through now.” Instantly, I begin to
feel a tingling up and down my spine, a slight pressure in the center of my head, and warm, gentle waves
of love flowing through me. I faintly hear a voice (my own) saying “Yes! This is that energy, being or
vibration you call Hilarion!” [f]
The information to follow originally came from Hilarion in 1977-83 through the channeling of
Maurice Cooke. When Jon Fox began channeling Hilarion in 1982, he was able to deepen, elaborate,
and take further the original Hilarion science and technology first shared through Cooke. But there has
been virtually no discrepancy in the inert gas, or any of the other, scientific-type information from
Hilarion that has come through both Cooke and Fox. There was even an occasion when Cooke and Fox
came together in the same room for the first-time to each separately channel Hilarion at the same time.
Those present recalled a kind of identical twin phenomenon that occurred where both of them would be
saying the same words from Hilarion at the same time, or where they would take turns finishing each
other’s sentences.

The Inert Gas Information: A Different Kind of Physics

All of the inert gas research, experiments, and applications contained in the rest of this chapter had
their origins in the original Hilarion messages through Cooke published by Marcus Books in Toronto,
Canada. This is where Fox also got his initial inspiration. It was then, over the next 20 years, that Fox
was able to channel Hilarion at will to get ever more specificity in order to take the experimentation with
the gases further. In addition, more recently other researchers have gotten their ideas and direction about
the inert gases from Hilarion by way of Fox as well as from reading the earlier Canadian books.
To continue our story, we will first look at how Hilarion describes the inert gases within the context
of physical reality in a way that definitely departs from the current scientific paradigm. Then we will
look at Hilarion’s description of the specific technology to be used to work with this new kind of
physics. Next we will look at how Cooke and his research colleagues first experimented with Hilarion’s
information and some of what they found. And finally, we will follow what Fox and others in the United
States have been doing with this inert gas technology since Cooke’s channeling and research in early
1980s.

Until about a hundred years ago, the majority of physicists in the world believed in the existence of
an “ether.” as a fundamental substance permeating all of space and that was the underlying all-pervasive
medium responsible for all forces, fields, and within which all wave systems did their waving.
At the beginning of the 20th-century, two scientists, Michaelson and Morley, carried out an
experiment in an attempt to detect such an ether. It was presumed that if the ether was everywhere, then
as the Earth moved through it, there would be a detectable “ether drift.”
A beam of light was reflected around a set of mirrors, changing its direction and making it return
upon and interact or interfere with itself. It was hypothesized that light moving against, rather than with,
the Earth’s movement would move ever so more slowly than light moving with the ether drift. When

this difference was not experimentally found, the international scientific community chose to abandon
an ether.
Since then, some scientists have pointed out flaws in the thinking underlying that original
experiment and have argued that its results do not irrefutably condemn the idea of an ether; yet today’s
physics textbooks all reflect the conspicuous absence of such a concept. This background on the ether is
provided to prepare us for Hilarion’s perspective.
In his message about the nature of space in his first book, The Nature of Reality, Hilarion through
Cooke says, “The substance which defines the space of the real world is a tenuous material with
properties of elasticity. Its basic nature allows it to stretch, contract, to flow as a current of water does,
and to carry vibrational wave disturbances. The substance permeates all of the three-dimensional matrix.
There is a no location in the physical universe which does not contain the substance in one of its many
forms”.[f] Hilarion points out that 19th-century scientists were correct in their assumption about the
existence of an ether “but they did not extend their reasoning far enough to grasp the full significance of
this miraculous substance. If they had done so, they would have realized finally that all matter of every
form is composed of the ether in one of its states of condensation or expansion, and that every
phenomenon observed by man in the real world is accounted for by one or more of the properties of the
aetheric matrix, which exists within a larger space with a greater number of dimensions.”[f]
As part of this picture, electrons are conceived by Hilarion as vortices all spinning in the same
direction, which can entrain the ether within which they are moving, Thus all magnetic fields, gravity,
and other fields of force, are comprised of such a flow or movement of the ether. Hilarion’s concepts of
light, matter, magnetism, gravity, et al., diverge from present-day acceptable scientific understanding;
but for purposes of this chapter, we will only look at his concept of “primary points” in his presentation
on the nature of space and matter in order to prepare us to understand the nature of the inert gases and
the technology to be used to work with them that is the focus of this chapter. Through Cooke, Hilarion
tells us that:
In the vastness of space are located points of primary vibration which are capable of setting the
ether into the third mode of vibration, namely that in which the spatial matrix undergoes motion in the
fourth dimension. In effect, these primary points themselves vibrate in a direction transverse to the ether,
and this transverse vibration is communicated to the aetheric substance to give rise to the transverse
motion... [in] wave patterns which cross each other and interact to form a number of stationary waves to
include locations of low vibration called nodes, and locations of high vibration called antinodes... when
the node locations of a number of such patterns are all coincident at a single location, the ether becomes
very still at that location with respect to its transverse vibrational mode.
If the ether becomes completely stationary for even a fraction of a second at that location, it
immediately contracts or condenses into a denser and more solid-state…which has been called the
proton.
Surrounding the condensed packet of ether are concentric rings of very high transverse vibration,
and it is in these concentric rings that the various electrons take form... At the concentric rings of high
vibration surrounding the contracted proton, the ether is in such an agitated state that small openings or
breaches in its texture spontaneously arise.
Each “hole” in the ether becomes a spinning vortex through which the aetheric substance spins out
into the fourth dimension. The ether which passes outwardly through the spinning hole arcs over through
the fourth dimension and is drawn back into the aetheric matrix at the proton itself…The inert gases “are
constantly forced to undergo a high rate of vibration and agitation due to the fact that each atom of an
inert gas contains within it one of the primary points. [f]

 Now, within this context of a higher-dimensional ether and the primary points that can provide
wave-generating excitation and potential entrée into our level of reality, Hilarion describes the heart of
the inert gas technology:
Since each atom of an inert gas contains one of the primary points responsible for the creation of the
transverse vibrational mode which is experienced by matter as gravity, it is merely necessary to develop
a technical means for stripping the masking inert gas atom away from the primary point in order to allow
the point to produce a full-strength beam of transverse vibration.
The technique is to subject the inert gas to high pressure and temperature, and then to place it in a
strong magnetic field. This can be accomplished with relatively simple equipment and without great
expense. In fact it has already been done in secret. The high temperature and pressure cause the stripping
away of some of the outer electrons of the atoms of the gas, thus producing ions or charged particles.
When these ions are subjected to a strong magnetic field, the motions of the nuclei of the ionized atoms
are disturbed and the atoms are forced into paths different from the natural motion. These paths take
them away from the primary points which they normally mask, and permit the points to produce their
normal vibratory motion in the ether.” [f]

Everything quoted until now has been the direct communications of Hilarion channeled through
Maurice Cooke. I will include only one other passage from him before turning to the words of Cooke
and Fox who then, together with others, worked with what he had provided them.
Bear in mind in what is to follow that when terms like “the aetheric level” are used, reference is
being made to the domain of the earlier-described ether and of the fourth (or higher) dimensional reality
that stands in relation to our three-dimensional physical reality and can move into and affect it. In this
view, the dimensional, energetic, informational domain both underlying and transcending our physical
reality is what is responsible for it and everything in it, including our own bodies. Each of our physical
bodies has an underlying higher-vibratory, higher-dimensional, etheric body structuring and guiding it.
This view of Hilarion’s, that there exists a trans-physical level of the body responsible for the physical
level body, might be considered the ultimate in psychosomatic medicine and mind-body interactionism.
The last half-century has seen the introduction of a number of new schools of thought that seem to
be moving in this direction. While none of them attempting to address this nonphysical-to-physical
supraordinate-to-subordinate relationship has yet found complete acceptance into mainstream scientific
thinking, they seem to be steadily gaining influence. These new perspectives include Russell’s earlier
concept of L, T, or O Fields (life, thought, or organizational fields) [f]; Robert Becker’s and others’
more recent electromagnetic, bio-informational fields[f]; and Rupert Sheldrake’s newest morphogenetic
fields[f], to name just a few.
The following passage is about the nature of illness, and helps to make the necessary bridge
between the prior physics-sounding information and the inert gas healing approach that comprises the
remainder of this chapter. Regarding illness, Hilarion says:
The specific and immediate cause of all viral and bacterial illness is not at the physical level, but at
the aetheric level. The ether is the natural abode for what may be termed disease agents. These agents
exist primarily in the ether and the “bodies” which they may be said to have are entirely etheric. When
these disease agents are allowed into a living physical body, they are enabled to condense a part of
themselves into physical matter within the host vehicle.
The condensed matter then appears as the familiar virus or bacteria. In attempting to combat and
eliminate the physical condensate of the disease agent, man has been attacking a symptom of the
presence of the agent rather than agent itself... the aetheric counterpart of the human body is in a many-
layered sheath which constitutes quite good protection against these agents under normal circumstances.
However, the aetheric sheath can be ruptured or weakened at certain specific locations... We have
said that the inert gases can be excited to produce localized gravitational fields capable of pushing
against matter. Such fields represent the highest phase of excitation for the gases. However there are a

number of lower phases of excitation which do not have any gravitational effect, but which produce a
particular vibration in the ether similar to that of visible light... (but) made up of a complex series of
harmonics, much like the sound waves from a human voice or an instrument.
This produces a wave which appears irregular though repeating. A beam of this kind can be
extremely hostile to certain disease agents, if the mixture of gases under excitation is appropriately
chosen. Thus the first step in the treatment of viral and bacterial illness is to the body of the agent itself
through the use of a beam from the lower phase excitation of the inert gases.” [f]
It is this motion of the ether, in the form of the magnetic, gravitational, or other, flow of the ether
that can then be aimed as a beam of aetheric energy to treat in-kind the underlying aetheric-level
portions of a human body and thus in turn can effect the physical portion for which it is the energetic
and informational template.
We now turn from Hilarion’s own words through Cooke to Cooke’s own words about his and his
colleagues’ experiments with the inert gas technology. In 1983, Cooke published a book-length report
on the new science and inert gas technology originally derived from his source, Hilarion. It was entitled
Einstein Doesn’t Work Here Anymore: a treatise on the new science, with step-by-step instructions for
apparatus to demonstrate the inert gas field effect.
It is interesting to note that nowhere in the book is there any mention of where the information came
from. No mention of Hilarion. No mention of the process of channeling. One must assume that Cooke
decided that what he had to share from Hilarion had a much better chance of being read and taken
seriously if it was not burdened by any association with other-dimensional nonphysical information
sources and trance-type states of consciousness that might seem beyond the pale to most scientifically
oriented readers who Cooked appeared to be targeting for his audience.
So, although the words that follow are Cooke’s and not Hilarion’s directly, we can be quite sure
where the material came from originally that informs these words and guides the research activity being
described. Here are some examples of how Cooke paraphrases Hilarion’s own ideas to appear to be his
own to avoid possible guilt by association with channeling and the otherworldly:
Suppose, we said, that the “spin” of an electron is all there is to it? In other words, suppose that an
electron is not an actual particle at all but purely a rotational motion or vortex... a vortex in the ether...
we suggest that the aetheric substance which converges rotationally into the electron vortex, spins out
into the surrounding four-dimensional matrix, then arcs across and reenters our own 3-D space at a
neighboring proton, spinning the other way!
We assume the existence of a multitude of “primary points” scattered throughout the vastness of
space, all in constant vibration in a direction perpendicular to our ether, and all generating 4-D wave
disturbances. Were it not for the fact that we have actually found experimental evidence for the
existence of such points, we would not make bold to advance such a proposition, and this book would
never have been written... Suppose that the primary points responsible for the 4-D waves are not our 3-D
space at all, but instead are located within the adjacent region of the 4-D matrix through which our space
is curved. [f]
Cooke points out that in the inert gases there is a constant vibrational state that cannot be accounted
for by the temperature alone, pointing to “an internal vibratory effect rising spontaneously and
continuously within the atom itself,” [f] and as a function of the higher-dimensional aetheric point being
masked. “It then occurred to us that if an inert gas were pressurized, thus increasing the collision rate
between atoms, a good degree of ionization can be achieved to do the (temporary) stripping away of
electrons from the outer rings... Since an ionized atom would then carry a positive charge, it ought to
respond to the presence of a strong magnetic field in the usual way, namely by being forced in a
direction at right angles both to its direction of motion and to the direction of the magnetic flux lines
(which we take to be the direction of ether flow).”[f]
Before leaving this presentation by Hilarion and Cooke of the conceptual aspect of the new science
underlying the inert gas technology, a striking similarity seems to exist between their description of the

nature of the electron as a vortex bridging between a higher dimensional domain and our physical
reality, and the theoretical conjectures on the nature of the electron made by physicist Harold Puthoff in
an innovative article of his published in the esteemed scientific journal Physical Letters more than 10
years later: [I still need to find and insert quoted passage from Puthoff’s journal article]

The Experiments of Cooke and Colleagues

Adhering to Hilarion’s earlier comment about the inert gas technology, that “this can be
accomplished with relatively simple equipment and without great expense,” Cooke provides 15 pages of
specific technical descriptions and diagrams on how anyone can construct their own inert gas device.[f]
In order to shake loose and unmask the portion of the inert gas atom from the underlying primary point
so that the aetheric motion from the direct activity of the primary point can be purposefully directed and
used, he describes how the right pressure must be brought to bear on the gas within a 4-12-inch-long
metal bottle or cartridge together with the right magnetic field provided by an attached magnet.
Pressures used are from 200-2000 psi (pounds per square inch), depending on which gas, or mixture
of gases, is used, and the average magnetic flux density applied is around 200 Gauss.[f]
Cooke and his colleagues experimentally found the ether to be elastic, so that under certain
conditions the velocity of light passing through it could be altered. Also, a strong magnetic field could
influence the ether to vary the velocity. Repeatedly forcing, or “scrubbing” the ether through boiling
water using a magnetic field changed the elasticity of the ether, making it more strongly react to the
field, so that light would be more strongly affected through the strong magnetic field. They also found
that water and its movement could excite the inert gas fields. In addition, they experimentally discovered
that the inert gas energy could be carried over an electrically conducive wire, and that the end of the
wire could be used as a treatment probe.
Based upon Hilarion’s earlier messages about the nature of illness and disease, Cooke wrote about
the “thought-forms” that we create when we think that can continue to exist after we thought them and
which can collect “in the region of (or within) their originator.” [f]
When deleterious, it is “these thoughts-forms which are ultimately responsible for both chronic and
acute illness [f]... the disease thought-forms are thus conceived as entities or ‘things’ which are
‘programmed’ to carry out certain procedures within man’s physical body. The programming is
determined by the nature of the originating thought.” [f]
Based on Hilarion’s original messages, Cooke describes three kinds of disease-producing thought-
forms: the kind linked to pathogenic bacteria within the host body; the kind linked to viral organisms;
and the kind that is centered “in one or more of the organs or major systems of the host body, and
proceeds to alter the structure or the function of the portion it has invaded”[f] (and where no bacteria or
virus is involved). Based upon his and his colleagues’ research in Canada in the late ‘1970s and early
1980s, Cooke points to “the possibility of attacking the disease thought-form directly at the aetheric
level.
There is now a body of evidence [from their research] to support the idea that, among the five inert
gases, at least Argon and Krypton produce energies which are capable of doing this,” especially with
regard to affecting the third kind of thought-form that negatively[f] influences organs or other major
systems of the body, rather than affecting bacteria or virus.
Following are excerpts from two experimental case studies carried out by Cooke and his colleagues
in Canada using Hilarion’s inert gas technology to study the effect upon human subjects.

Case One: Subject C, age 13, a female suffering from mononucleosis, an illness of unknown
etiology. She developed the symptoms in 1980, three months prior to the inert gas treatment. “The first
treatment was with Argon. The cartridge containing this gas at about 1400 psi was energized by a
magnet capable of placing the gas under an average magnetic field of about a 150 Gauss... the subject
lay down supine on a couch with her head to the North, and the apparatus was positioned just beyond the

top of her head, with the axis of the magnet being aligned approximately North/South. The Argon
energy was administered for 40 minutes, following which the cartridge was replaced with one
containing Krypton at about 700 psi (same magnet). The Krypton energy remained for about 20 minutes,
and was used as a follow-up energy in order to ensure as far as possible that the disease thought-form
would be removed.” [f] Immediately after this double treatment, the subject felt well enough to get up
and eat with the family. Previously she had had a little appetite and had spent most of the time lying
down. Others present remarked on her improved physical appearance. It then took several days for her
body to get rid of the poisons and toxins that had accumulated in the lymph nodes due to the long siege
of this thought-form within the body... The family doctor then examined her [five days later], and
expressed surprise that she should have recovered so rapidly.” [f]

Case Two: Subject F, male, age 35, slightly overweight with a degenerative condition in the right
hip joint first noticed in the spring of 1974 during a golf game. Three months later the pain was severe
and x-rays showed serious deterioration, with the doctor commenting that he “had the hip of a seventy-
year-old.” Taking 16gr. aspirins daily for the pain, and with his doctor’s prognosis remaining vague, F
came to Cooke in 1977 for experimentation.
On hearing that he had gone through great emotional stress due to his first wife dying of cancer in
1970, Cooke, in light of Hilarion’s teachings about the nature of disease, speculated “that the subject at
that time created for himself a powerful disease thought-form as a result of the stress of the period, and
that the thought-form had lodged in the right hip joint, for whatever reason. We therefore felt that the
best attack was to use one form of energy [Krypton] to destroy the thought-form, and then Xenon to
prompt the body to rebuild the degenerated tissue at a rate more rapid than normal.” [f]
Having learned experimentally that the inert gas aetheric energy could be conducted along an
electric wire, a plastic or glass sheathed probe extended the usual invisible aetheric beam through the
wire from the pressurized and magnetized gas cartridge exit point. In this unidirectional beam device,
Krypton was first used, then a mixture of Helium, Neon, Argon, and Krypton (8%, 22%, 60%, and 10%
respectively). Then a mixture of Helium,
Neon, and Xenon (at 18%, 37%, and 45%), under 500 psi and with a magnetic field of 200 Gauss,
was given in once-weekly treatments “involving exposing the hip from a close spacing (6 inches) for at
least 30 minutes per treatment.”[f] Then a third mixed gas generator (Neon 7.5%, Argon 12.5%, and
Xenon 80% at 300 psi and 120-150 Gauss) was placed on his bedroom dresser at night aimed at the bed.
“Within one month the subject began to experience occasional days free of pain. After three months he
was largely free of discomfort, except when he overstrained the joint. After six months of treatment he
could undertake all normal activities without pain. The stronger weekly treatments were then suspended,
although he continued to sleep in the weaker field at night. Another x-ray taken nine months after our
treatments had begun revealed 75 percent regeneration of the hip joint,’ according to his doctor’s
assessment.” [f]
Cooke reported a number of unlooked-for effects during his research, such as inadvertent regrowth
of tissue stimulated by the inert gases. In one case the wife, sharing the bed with her husband who was
being treated with a Xenon-based device, was also exposed nightly to the subtle beam emanating as the
higher-dimensional aetheric flow from the activity of the now-unmasked primary points underlying the
inert gas atoms. Her previously cauterized fallopian tubes regenerated, and she became pregnant, giving
birth to a healthy baby girl. [f]
Cooke and his colleagues went on to develop much stronger devices, such as an Argon-beam
generator, with Argon under 1300 psi, applying 500-5000 volts of direct current, strongly ionizing the
gas, and using an electric-coil magnet, rather than the usual permanent magnet. “Because of the assumed
strength of the beam emitted axially by this device, we were careful not to pass it through the physical
body of any person. In all the tests we carried out, the thought-forms were seen to be located outside of

the physical bodies (though often joined to them), and thus it was a simple matter to direct the Argon
beam at and through the thought-form without having the beam touch the body of the subject.” [f]
Notice Cooke’s phrase, that “the thought forms were seen to be located outside of the physical
bodies.” In this and other related research, Cooke and his colleagues worked with clairvoyants, who
reported being able to psychically see nonphysical aetheric level activity, including the presence, and
any changes in, disease thought-forms.
A pattern soon emerged, that although the inert gas beam devices appeared able to dissipate various
disease thought-forms quite quickly, they would soon return, and hence they had to admit to the
obdurate quality of the underlying cause of such extreme psychosomatic illness.
As Cooke put it, “We concluded from these tests that the only lasting cure for difficulties of this
kind lay in retraining the subconscious of the patient, so that it would cease to project the thoughts
and/or emotions which led to the creation of the thought-forms. Our apparatus could then effectively be
used to destroy the form or forms that had previously accumulated, thus clearing the way for
reconstruction, cleansing or regeneration of the portion of the body that had been afflicted.” [f]

The Work of John C. Fox

Living some 90 minutes North-East of San Francisco, electronics engineer Jon C. Fox draws his
understandings about the inert gases from the earlier Hilarion/Cooke books and from his own almost-
daily channeled and intuitive interactions ostensibly with the same Hilarion. Thus we hear in his
thinking similarities with Hilarion and Cooke with regard to the presence of an ether and the aetheric
influence on our physical level of reality in general and on our bodies in particular.
“We are living and working at a level that transcends much more than just the physical body. We’re
working with the aetheric body, as well, when we’re doing any kind of healing or change work. Healing
takes place primarily initially in the aetheric body and this is then transmitted to the physical body...
Another way of looking at this that, surrounding the body at all times is a fluid substance called Aetheric
Fluidium. In that substance we have the capacity to impress holographic information that then is brought
into the physical.... this is taking place on what I’m considering the 4th dimension level.” [f]
Based on Hilarion’s channeled teachings, Fox grounds his research in “the existence of what are
postulated as Primary Points. These are points of intermodal vibrations that are occurring at the 4th
dimension, manifesting themselves at the 3rd dimension. And it is the contention of the information that
I’m bringing through [i.e., that he is channeling from Hilarion] that these points are present in the
nucleus of the atom to the inert gases. These primary points are widely distributed all over the galaxy
and here on earth. What are emitted from them are all kinds of interesting effects and energies.
However, the creation of matter in the nucleus itself tends to mask these effects...
One way to increase this release of inert gas energy is to subject the inert gases to high-pressure.
Under high-pressure there tends to be some dislodging of that nucleus and of the atomic structures
which allows some of that energy to be released... One way to view this is that the nuclei of the inert gas
atoms are a doorway to another dimension.” [f]
During his years of channeling-guided experimentation using approaches such as inert gases with
human subjects, Fox must constantly remind everyone: “I am an engineer, not a medical doctor (MD),
so I can’t make claims for the devices. I can talk about the experiences that other people have had with
them... But I would emphasize that I’m not making any medical or therapeutic claims.” Nonetheless, “It
has been a dream,” he writes, “to share publicly the research I’ve been doing for the last 11 years.” [f]

Some Specific Techniques

For generating unidirectional inert gas beams, Fox uses “alnico five” magnets; for the generation of
omni-directional fields, “potted alnico;” and for “Krypton concentrator” beams, ceramic magnets. With
regard to the pressure used, his research has found that a minimum threshold of 250 psi seems necessary
to get an effect. [f]

 Fox describes how he has learned to make treatment “elixirs” using the inert gases. In homeopathy,
a preparation is made by continually diluting and succussing (shaking) a solution containing the physical
presence of the substance that one seeks to have an effect on the human body. Such dilutions can
eventually become so extreme that no one understands how it can still have an effect on the body. The
truly mind-boggling point can be reached where something becomes so diluted that there is no longer
any presence of the original physical substance in the now super-diluted solution, yet what has been
found experimentally is that, even with no more physical presence, something from this process still
effects the body as if the physical presence was still there, with the more dilute the solution, the more
effective!
Fox writes: “With assistance and advice from several homeopaths, I’ve developed a way to produce
‘elixirs’ homeopathically from the inert gases. We point one of the unidirectional devices into some pure
water for about a half hour. Then we dilute that water to a 3X potency, with succusion, by traditional
homeopathic technique. That means you take one drop, mix it with 9 drops of water. Succuss it (hit it on
the palm of your hand) 50 times, then repeat. Repeat that entire process a total of three times to arrive at
a 3X potency. We found that at that dilution many of the properties that are observable with the devices
appear to be directly reproduced into the vibration of the water.”[f]

Effects Reported by Fox and Others

Fox says that “One of the best ways to perceive the “inert gas effect” is just by putting your hands
near either side of the device. Typical experiences people report are temperature changes—hot or cold.
Many people will feel a tingling sensation. There are a few people report a sound inside their head, or
they can see a light coming out of the device. Generally, approximately 30% of the people I’ll expose
these devices to will feel nothing. The explanation for all this is that, as we’re stimulating the aetheric
body, the way in which any individual perceives and relates to the energy that comes to their aetheric
body is different.”[f]

Here are just a few of the inert gas effects discovered by Fox and his colleagues:
Re-growing teeth (using 18% Helium, 36% Neon, 46% Xenon)
Overcoming Headaches (pure Helium, min. 1300 psi, aimed at water, for about 1 hour per gallon.
Drink about eight ounces. Repeat in about 10 minutes if necessary).
Overcoming Insomnia (90% Helium 10% Neon)
Awakening higher consciousness (10% Argon, 10% Krypton, 80% Xenon).
Destruction of negative thought-forms (70% Argon, 30% Krypton)
Developing psychic functioning (Krypton).[f]

Joint Pain
“We’ve found other uses for Krypton. A number of people with joint pain and interesting physical
body complaints have told me that touching the probe to various parts of their body where there was
some difficulty improved their condition dramatically.”

Headaches and Insomnia

“We found that if we take one of the unidirectional devices and point it into a glass of water;
somebody drinking the water will experience very interesting effects. When you seem to be in a normal
state, I’ve observed a lift—like more energy. For people with migraine headaches, or unusual headache
symptoms, water charged by Helium in this way will often rapidly clear the headache.... Another use for
the Helium energy is in using the device itself. When pointed directly at the person, many with insomnia
have found that they get much more deep and refreshing sleep with the device.”

Digestion and Viral Complaints

 “Neon seems to be extremely helpful for quite a number of people that I’ve worked with for
digestion and energies that have to do with the Root Chakra... Neon seems to reverse the feeling of
being ‘spaced-out,’ because of its connection to grounding energy. We also had several interesting
effects with people suffering from various viral complaints, including cytomegalovirus (CMV), and
chronic fatigue syndrome (CFIDS). In the past, some of these had other names (like mononucleosis).”

Cancer
“We have a few cases of people who use these devices for cancer. One of the very first I ever
worked with was a woman with cervical cancer. She used a device containing Neon with a little bit of
Helium, so that her sleep would go very well. After four months she had a biopsy and they said no more
cancer. It was quite nice for her, and great for me to get that kind of physical verification of my work.”

Epilepsy
“Krypton elixir is especially interesting. Channeled guidance indicated that it might be helpful for
epilepsy. I had a chance to try that with several cases. In one case, a female epileptic dropped her level
of Dilantin in half. In another case, after the use of one entire bottle of Krypton elixir, a man was able to
go off Dilantin completely and has had no drugs or seizure since. It has now been two years! Since
epilepsy appears to be an out-of-phase condition between the different lobes of the brain, Krypton’s
ability to enhance brain function would certainly seem to help.” [f]
Echoing Cooke’s own research findings and Hilarion’s original viewpoint, Fox refers to the
difficulty in rooting out obstinate negative and disease-producing aetheric-level thought-forms: “One
concept of negative thought-forms is that they are ideas or programming, like a tape that runs over and
over in us, which form in the aetheric body. As it is held there it tends to be problematic for us... By the
use of, particularly, the inert gases Krypton and especially Argon, we’re finding we can rapidly clear
these negative thought forms in people.
Now if somebody is not doing psychological work to help get at the reason they put the thought
form there in the first place, the device will simply be a stop-gap measure, a band-aid. The person will
usually reconstruct the negative thought form within a short period after using the device.” [f]

Others’ Findings: Fox reports: “A researcher is growing corn and beans and other plants in the sand
and water with no added nutrients or soil, with exposing the growing plants to the inert gas devices. The
control groups, grown without the inert gas energy, die quickly. With the device, the plants are thriving.
Another researcher has observed increased cell growth rates with exposure to the inert gases in the
traditional petri dish cultures (‘in-vitro’). Another researcher reports shift in the ultra-violet spectral
response of water that has been exposed to inert gas devices containing Helium. It is hoped these
researchers will publish these studies soon.” [f]

[ Personal Notes: Still to do for this chapter: I have talked to Jon Fox recently about interviewing him for
more details about his own recent inert gas experiments and about the ones just-mentioned, above. I am also
setting up a phone interview with Fred Rubenfeld, a researcher in Boulder, Colorado, who Fox suggested to me,
who, together with his colleagues, tells Fox he is getting excellent results from, among other things, “elixirs”
made from using water treated with inert gas energy. Finally, it may be possible for me to do a brief interview
with “Hilarion” channeled through Fox, where I could ask “him” what he might wish to share with readers of
this book regarding the inert gas energy and perhaps even if he might have suggestions for new approaches and
experiments that could be tried out by readers interested in this.
I am thinking of sending this chapter draft to a few of my friends or acquaintances who are traditionally
trained, well-credentialed, and fairly well-known in physics and/or biomedicine for their reaction, critical
analysis and speculation, etc. and then draw from their responses to create a final response-from-the-scientific-
community type section for this chapter. I am also thinking of doing the same for each of the dozen or so other
proposed extended case study chapters for the book.
And I still have to write a one-or-two paragraph conclusion for this chapter.]

Section V- Friends We’ve Lost
Hugh Mark Sten Lovel
Hugh Mark Sten Lovel of Blairsville, Georgia passed away peacefully out of
this life at age 73 on August 25, 2020, surrounded by his wife and loving
family and lifetime friends Bill Miller and Catherine Monet at Birds Nest
Retreat on Dockery Road.
Hugh was born on June 30, 1947 in Kirkwood, Washington, the son of the
late Walter Lovel and the late Isabel Nelson Lovel. Hugh was of the Episcopal
Faith and a dedicated Anthroposophist who studied the teachings of Rudolf
Steiner, the Austrian philosopher and founder of the bio-dynamic approach to
agriculture.
Hugh moved to Union County, Georgia in 1976 where he established a
small biodynamic farm that became the first CSA (Community Supported
Agriculture) in the Southeastern U.S. CSA members at Hugh's farm received a weekly box of fresh
organic vegetables, corn meal, cheeses, homemade hot sauce, dill pickles, and Hugh's famous garlic
pigtails sauce.
Hugh co-founded the Southeast Biodynamic Conference in the late 1980s with mentors Harvey
Lilse and Hugh Courtney and his longtime friend and collaborator, Jeff Poppen of Long Hungry Creek
Farm in Red Boiling Springs, TN. This annual on-farm conference was held for 12 years in Blairsville
before migrating to Tennessee. The 32nd annual conference took place last October 2019 at Jeff
Poppen's farm where Hugh was on the program every year as a featured speaker.
A natural born teacher, Hugh was the author of two books -- A Biodynamic Farm for Growing
Wholesome Food (1994) and Quantum Agriculture: Biodynamics and Beyond (2014) -- as well as
numerous articles published in Acres USA, Acres Australia, the Biodynamic Journal, and other
periodicals.
Hugh migrated to Australia in 2005 to teach and consult.
Hugh and his wife Shabari Bird established Quantum Agriculture, Inc in 2009 and
became worldwide travelers teaching at conferences, workshops, and field days, and conducting on-
farm consultancy in the USA, Mexico, and Canada as well as overseas including Australia, New
Zealand, Japan, India, Scotland, Ireland, Norway, Denmark, Netherlands, Switzerland, South Africa,
and Namibia.
Hugh was internationally known for developing the theory and practice of Quantum Agriculture.
Several of His unique contributions to this field include charting the Biochemical Sequence, designing
and producing the Quantum Agriculture Field Broadcaster, and designing a new Agricultural radionic
instrument for treating farms. Many of his lectures including parts of his Advanced Agriculture Course
can be viewed on YouTube.
