PREFACE
● This document lays down the guidelines for ensuring a safe and secure environment on
campus post COVID 19 lockdown period.
● This SOP will be applicable in all places including hostel, academic premises, and other
places in the campus unless notified otherwise.
● This SOP will be effective from the date of notification till further notice. These guidelines
will be reviewed and updated periodically based on how things evolve.
Mandatory ● Always wear a face mask when you go out of your room (even in the hostel
compliances blocks). Violation will attract strict disciplinary penalties including immediate
expulsion from the hostel and rustication.
○ Any faculty member, staff, and student representative may report the
violations to the H&SA office.
○ Security guards are also empowered to ask for student Identity Cards to
report violations.
● Always follow physical distancing in hostels, classrooms, mess, and other public
places on the campus. Avoid crowding the common places such as entrances and
lifts.
● Digital wallets should be the preferred mode for all payments on campus.
● Common washing machines can be used only after completing the 14 days
quarantine period. Safety precautions to be followed.
● There will be designated common drop-off points for all e-commerce and food
deliveries.

● Clean your PC, laptop, mobile and other electronic gadgets with disinfectant
regularly.
● Students are not allowed in the Mess during the quarantine period. Food will be
Mess served in their respective hostel block.
● Students will be required to pay a Mess deposit for one term, which will be
refundable after deducting food charges.
● PGP second year students can opt-out of mess services. Details of the options for
this are available with the Infrastructure Committee. Hostel office should be
informed in case a participant signs out of the mess.
● Students must follow the Mess Norms to be notified in due course.
