Connect the Gateway
A 1. Insert the gateway dongle into the
USB port of your tablet.
If your tablet comes with a USB-C port
only, use the small adapter (included in
the kit) to convert from USB-3 to USB-C.
If your gateway is a dongle version,
connect directly to the computer.

Run the Software


B The tablet comes pre-installed with the Node Controller
software.
From the desktop, double-click the Node Controller icon to run
the software.
When viewing charts, you can use the built-in tools to help
you access the information you need. Use either a mouse or
touch gestures to control the charts.

Operate and Discover Nodes
C 1. Open the node by twisting the upper cover
counterclockwise, then pull the top section up.
2. From the Home screen click on Discover
Wireless Node.
3. Select nodes to be discovered — one or more.
4. While software searches for nodes, turn on the
node to ON by pressing the ON/OFF button
once.
5. The software automatically detects the node
and displays data in the status section.
6. The system is now ready to for sampling.

Run Real Time Sampling


D 1. From the Home screen, click
Start Real Time Sampling
2. From the Channel Settings
screen choose the sampling
options:
a. Channels to sample
b. Sampling Rate
c. Sampling Time OR
Continuous Sampling
3. Click RUN to start the sampling — sampling chart appears.

Edit and Control Sampling Charts


E Each time you edit the chart during Real-Time Sampling, the chart view freezes to enable
editing, while data is still coming in.
At any given time, you can double-click on any location of the chart to return to real time
sampling view.

1. While viewing a Real Time Sampling, click


the Select Annotation dropdown menu to
add annotation (vertical line, horizontal line
or text) to the chart.
2. Click on the desired location to add the
annotation, or click on the already added
annotation to drag it to the desired location.
3. Use pinch gestures or right-click on the mouse to hold and drag to move the
chart left or right.
4. Right-click and mark an area to zoom in to this area.
5. Scroll with the mouse to zoom in or zoom out the chart’s view.

Stop Real Time Sampling and Save Data


F There are two ways to stop a node running
Real Time Sampling:
• From the home screen click Set to Idle.
• From the chart view screen click Stop Sampling.
Once the sampling has stopped, you can choose to select Save Data to save the data of
the current sampling to your computer.

View Stored Data


G 1. From the Home screen click Load Data Log
to open up the directory of the stored data.
2. Double-click on the file you want to view.
3. The data chart appears on your screen
enabling you to edit it as required.
