26 WEEKS POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA COURSE IN TRANSMISSION & DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

ABOUT NPTI National Power Training Institute (NPTI) is a National Apex body for fulfilling the training
requirements of the power sector in the country formed by Gazette notification of Govt. of India dated:
03.07.1993. NPTI is an ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 leading Training Institute under the Ministry of Power, Govt. of
India for Human Resources Development in Power Sector with its Corporate Office at Faridabad. NPTI had
been providing its dedicated service for more than five (5) decades. NPTI operate on an all India basis through
its Eleven (11) Institutes in the different zones of the country.

ABOUT NPTI SHIVPURI NPTI’s campus is spread over a picturesque landscape of about 15 acres in
Shivpuri in the suburbs of Tourist Hub Like Madhav National Park, Bhadaiya Kund, Tatya Tope Memorial
Park, Scindhia Chhatri, Shivpuri Museum, Sankhya Sagar, waterfall etc. This institute is located at
Satanwada (Shivpuri) in National Highway, NH3 (A.B.Road) from Gwalior towards Indore high ways and
situated before 18km from Shivpuri Railway Station and Bus Stop. It is about 100 kms from Gwalior and
18 kms from Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scinda Air Terminal, Gwalior (M.P).

The Campus houses the Institute building, 250 capacity auditorium, 03 nos. board rooms, VIP Guest House, 34
Nos. Executive and 34 Nos. Non-Executive Rooms in Boys Hostels & separate 12 Nos. Non-Executive Rooms in
Girls Hostel, Sports facilities. The main Institute building houses Lecture Halls, 3 Conference Room, Board
Room, Library, and a Real-time Multifunctional Simulator. NPTI Shivpuri is having state of art multi-
functional Simulators with a configuration of Thermal: 210 MW/ 500 MW/800 MW, Hydro: 250 MW & Smart
Grid. This is the only simulator in India installed at NPTIs, developed for providing training to the power
utilities with Smart controls for RE-Grid Integration, IT Centre, and the associated offices etc. NPTI Complex
equipped with CCTV/Wi-Fi. Facilities in the entire campus. Each class rooms is equipped Air conditioner with
latest Technology like Multi Touch Screen Podium, Projector and Smart Screen, Audio Systems, Smart TV for
On-line sessions with WI-FI facilities.
WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN? The main aim of the course is to develop the pool of technically trained manpower
readily available for recruitment to the Indian Power Sector. The course enhances the knowledge and skill of
the fresh Graduate Engineers/Diploma Holders who join this course at their own as well as the engineers by
Power utilities etc.
ABOUT THE COURSE The course is of 26 weeks duration & covers all aspects of Transmission & Distribution
System including O&M, erection, commissioning, Management.
ELIGIBILITY: Degree in Power Engg./Mechanical/Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering or its
equivalent with minimum 60% marks from a recognized College/University. Candidates under sponsored
category have to provide sponsorship letter from its employer/ sponsoring authority.

AGE LIMIT: Maximum 27 years, relaxation as per Govt. of India norms.

SELECTION PROCEDURE: Merit basis (% of marks of qualifying Degree).

TOTAL SEATS: 50 (Fifty). Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH etc. is applicable as per Govt. of India norms.
Vacant seats in sponsored category may be filled by non-sponsored category & vice-versa if required.
PLACEMENT: This course is job oriented professional course and NPTI maintains close linkages with the
Hydro Power utilities & reputed hydro power companies for the placement. However institute doesn’t claim
the guarantee of placement.
HOW TO APPLY : Prescribed application as per format(i.e. Annexure A) filled with relevant details along with
Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- including Service-Tax, (Non-refundable) in favour of “National Power Training
Institute, Shivpuri” payable at Shivpuri (SBI, Branch code-030086), Madhya Pradesh/ SBI Collect-National
Power Training Institute, Shivpuri should reach to Director, National Power Training Institute, Satanwada,
Distt. Shivpuri- 473551 (M.P.) latest by 24th November 2020 up to 05.00 PM. Envelope containing the
application form and other documents should be marked “Application for 26 Weeks Post Graduate
Diploma Course in Transmission & Distribution System– 2020-21”.
COURSE FEES:
(1) For Non-Sponsored candidates:
i. At the time of counselling has to pay Rs. 50,000 + GST (Non-refundable) in the form of D.D. of any
bank payable at Shivpuri drawn in the favour of “National Power Training Institute, Shivpuri”/SBI
Collect to confirm the admission.
ii. The amount of fees i.e. Rs. 50,000+ GST to be paid by DD as per the details given above, earliest by
1st December 2020.The fees to be paid in the form of D.D. of any bank payable at Shivpuri drawn in the
favour of “National Power Training Institute, Shivpuri”/SBI Collect.
Iii The balance amount of fees i.e. Rs. 45,000+ GST to be paid by DD as per the details given above,
earliest by 31st March 2021.The fees to be paid in the form of D.D. of any bank payable at Shivpuri drawn
in the favour of “National Power Training Institute, Shivpuri”/SBI Collect.
 All the payments to be done in the form of DD / SBI COLLECT-NATIONAL POWER TRAINING
INSTITUTE, SHIVPURI and no cash will be accepted.
 The course fee paid once, is not refundable in the case of cancellation of admission.
 The placement fees of Rs.5000/- + GST, as applicable to be paid if placed through campus
(2) For sponsored candidates Rs. 1,90,000/- + GST as per govt. norms at the time of counselling for
confirmation of admission. There is no fee concession for any category of candidates.

TRANSPORTATION CHARGES & SECURITY DEPOSITS: Transportation charge Rs. 3,000/- +GST & security
Rs.3, 000/-(Refundable) are to be deposited at the time of admission.( Ref. HPTI,Nangal)
LODGING:: Separate Hostel facility for Girls & Boys (twin sharing basis) is available @ Rs. 2,500/- per month
& total amount for full tenure (Rs.16250/-) to be deposited at the time of admission.
BOARDING: Mess facility is available for the students/Participants.
IMPORTANT DATES:
