JUDICIAL AFFIDAVIT OF DR. ARMENIA TAN

I.​ ​OFFER

I, ​D . A a Ta , Filipino, of legal age, married to Michael

Tan, residing in 102 Paru-paro St. Cebu Cit , after being sworn in
accordance with law respectfull state:

The person examining me is Att . Moira Sarmiento, with office

address at Unit 2402, Antel Corporate Center, Legaspi Village, Cebu
Cit . The examination was held on March 20, 2020 at the office
aforesaid, and that I answered the questions full conscious that I am
doing so under oath and that I ma face criminal liabilit for false
testimon or perjur . The examination was held at the same address.

Your honor, we respectfull submit this Judicial Affidavit to form part

and be adopted as Dr. Armenia Tan s direct testimon for the
following purposes:
 1. That she is the parent and representative of one of the
students involved, Angela Tan.
2. That she filed this petition before the Regional Trial Court
of Cebu Cit to enjoin from implementing the sanction
that precluded her daughter from joining the
commencement exercises.
3. To testif on matters related to this case as her daughter s
representative and as a parent.

II.​ ​ JUDICIAL AFFIDAVIT PROPER

1. Q- Please state our name, personal circumstances, and

occupation.
A- I am Armenia Tan, of legal age, married to Michael Tan,
a resident of 102 Paru-paro St. Cebu Cit , and a doctor.

2. Q- How are ou related to Angela Tan?

A- She is m daughter.

3. Q- What did our daughter do, if an ?

A- She was the one that uploaded the pictures in question
on Facebook.

4. What do these photos show, if an ?

A- M daughter and her friends, Julia Dalu and Julienne
Su ara.

4. Q-When were these pictures uploaded online?

A- Around Januar of 2020.

5. Q- When did ou file the Petition for Injunction and

Damages in relation to such photos?
A- On March 23, 2020, a week before the graduation.

6. Q- What graduation are ou referring to?

A- M daughter, along with the students involved are
fourth- ear graduating students of the said school

7. Q-What was our reason for filing such a petition?

A- It was to enjoin St. Theresa s College from implementing
the sanction that would preclude m daughter from
joining the commencement exercises.
 8. Q- When did the school bar our daughter from joining the
commencement exercises?
A- The same month as m daughter s graduation.

9. Q- How did ou find out about the sanction?

A- On March 2, 2020, which was the da after STC officials
reprimanded the students in the office of the high school
principal and directress, I was informed of the penalt
that was imposed upon m daughter along with her other
friends.

10. Q- How did ou feel when ou were informed of their

penalt ?
A- I was angr and disappointed since the school did not
give m daughter a chance to explain her side and
abruptl robbed her of the experience of marching during
her graduation ceremon , a once-in-a-lifetime experience
that she worked hard her whole life.
