Equipment for corrosive solutions and environments

C
EPIC has specialized in the
manufacture of anti-corro-
sion equipment since 1958.
Our experience enables us to offer a
range of particularly reliable equip-
ment adapted to the most corrosive
and difficult processes.

HD POLYETHYLENE

BASIC Very versatile thermoplastic. Like polypropylene, it

is inert to corrosion of most acids alkalis and some
solvents. Moreover its impact strength, abrasive

MATERIALS strength and resistance to low temperatures are

excellent. It is therefore particularly suitable for the
manufacture of centrifugal pumps for corrosive flu-
ids containing solids in suspension.
Operating limit temperatures: - 50 ° to + 80 °C.

GRAPHITE
Artificial synthetic resin-impregnated graphite: PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene)
High resistance to the majority of corrosive agents, Chemically inert, suitable for temperatures up to 120
excellent coefficients of electrical and thermal con- °C (pure) or 150 °C (filled). Due to its machining
ductivity, low expansion, great geometrical stability, characteristics this material is restricted to specific
good resistance to thermal shocks. It is therefore a applications.
very versatile material, particularly suitable for the
manufacture of heat exchangers, pumps for hot
acids or solvents, rupture discs, etc. PVDF (Vinylidene polyfluoride)
Operating limit temperature: -50 ° C to 200°C. Main features of this material: Thermoplasticity
allows easy machining, remarkable thermal stability
from - 30°C to + 150°C, mechanical resistance
greater than all current thermoplastics; excellent
POLYPROPYLENE resistance to most corrosive agents.
Very versatile general use thermoplastic. It is inert to
corrosion of most acids, alkalis and some solvents.
It is a basic material for the manufacture of CEPIC centri-
fugal pumps.
Operating limit temperatures: - 10 ° to + 90 °C.
