- Completed 1700+ hours of supervised practice at a 625-bed academic medical center with a concentration in clinical

- Presented a case study on “The Nutritional Management of a Hospitalized Patient with Septic Shock”
- Led a journal club on “The Efficacy of Fish Oil-based Lipid Emulsions in the Reversal of PN-Associated Cholestasis
(PNAC) in Preterm Infants.”

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
CLINICAL DIETITIAN | Select Specialty Hospital | San Diego, CA Jan 2020 – Present
- Provide evidence-based medical nutrition therapy to long term acute patients receiving enteral and parenteral
nutrition, as well as thorough education on therapeutic diet choices and diet optimization to patients eating orally as
appropriate (seeing ~10-13 patients per day on average)
- Track dietary intakes for adequacy via calorie counts, review medication interactions, monitor weight trends weekly,
and complete a wound report to monitor healing and protein/caloric intake goals to improve patient outcomes
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team during rounds to provide excellent patient-centered care and determine
ways to overcome barriers to discharge
- Assist with the training of newly hired dietitians by shadowing patient interviews, reviewing chart notes, and
providing appropriate feedback as needed
- Sat on Ethics Committee, as sole representative of the nutrition department, to provide summary of nutritional care
throughout hospitalization for a specific patient, as well as my recommendation for future treatment/code status
- Completed IDDSI training and audits with food service management and speech pathologists as part of national
corporate transition to international dysphagia standards
- Participated in disaster planning and training to ensure preparedness amidst ongoing pandemic
