Second conditional

If + past (simple / continuous), would / might / could + V

Use: a hypothetical or imaginary situation in the present or future
If I were you – to give advice
If I were you, I would look for a better job.

Third Conditional

If + past perfect (simple / continuous), would have / might have / could have + PP

If I had known you were coming, I would have made a cake.
If it hadn’t been raining, we could have had a picnic last weekend.
Use: a hypothetical or imaginary situation in the past

Mixed conditionals

If + 3rd, 2nd (da se nesto desilo tada, sada bi bilo drugacije)

If I had studied more when I was at school, I would have a better job now.
If + 2nd, 3rd (kad bi nesto inace ili sada bilo tako, desilo bi se nesto u proslosti,

If he really loved her, he would have married her.
