The global water crisis is a dynamic and prevalent problem. The global water

every year this matter becomes hotly debated as the issues of unsafe water affects
society. Wello manufactures and distributed a materials that significantly minimize
the time and physical obligation compared with standard collection of water. Water
aims to enhance global access to clean water and decrease the time and physical
pressures of water collection by combining a basic product design with an inventive
business model. Also, The Fundraising that Cynthia launch started small and rise
very quickly.

Strategies taken to Cope the Global Water Crisis - Wello

Cynthia lived in a rural area of South Africa, whereas the condition of water on
that place is really poor. Each family only have a chances of one day per week for
them to collect and save water on the single tap, which is not working properly
enough. Even worse, when the day is a non-tap day, women and children must go to
the open sources of water that being shared with animals and sometimes, it is
contaminated. This is the biggest social problem that Cynthia faced. However,
Cynthia have founded a way to solve it.

Wello, founded by Cynthia in January 2008, have manufactured a tool and

system that can initially solve the water crisis on South Africa. The tool is a
WaterWheel. This WaterWheel is a tool that can conserve and operated
contaminated water to become a clean water to be serve for the resident in rural
area where Cynthia lived. It is a combination of high-quality, durable plastic and also
has a large screw cap, which allow resident to clean its interior. The most crucial part
is that the tool is major improvement on the toxic whereas it is redeployment fuel
containers which is used as a way to collect water. This WaterWheel can convey
enough water for approximately 4 person a day. This tool can help people stay
healthy and hygiene with a form of new, well-being water.
 By the time, Wello have distributed WaterWheel to any rural areas near her. Not
just it can lighten the burden of people with traditional water collection, it also
possibly collect 20 gallons of water in a short time. This concept of “Rolling Water”
helps people so much. It can distribute up to 10-25 gallon drums that literally roll
water as an alternative to carrying smaller quantities on the head. Cynthia believe
that people around needed a products that can disinfect their water as her wisdom
globally when talked about global water issues. Launching Wello indeed a way to
significantly minimize the burdens of people on South Africa. This was a way for
Cynthia to stay focused and inspired her to move forward. However, this was not a
primary reason that people need her to change their poor condition.

Improvement of Wello - Fundraising

However, it’s not the most important need of the people, what they need the
most is more water. Therefore, a Fundraising is needed to improve the water-scarce
communities. She started a small and miniature change to a large project eventually.
Unfortunately, she only work as a nonprofit agency, it will be hard for her to achieve
a number of people to donate for her. Nonchalantly, she moving forward to conduct
a Fundraising campaign to help them. She want to create a website, but her non-
skilled design skills become her obstacles. Even so, she was introduced to a
FreeWorld Media, an Atlanta-based design and marketing firm that took a task to
rebranding and complete a website design. Over a past few months, she got an
unusual email that makes her felt it is a spam. It is an email by Google celebrating
their tenth birthday and hold a competition for world-changing ideas, which be
deserve by Wello. They want to use Wello as a way to illustrate the type of
innovative they seek. The project have resulted FreeWorld Media to the highest and
the website went live. With that, the donation rolls in and Cynthia can continue
helping the poor people of water.
