HOW TO JOIN TEAMS (CLASSROOMS)
How to Download Microsoft Teams

Go to https://teams.microsoft.com/downloads in your web

browser to download and install Microsoft Teams
Download and Open Microsoft Teams

 Go to portal.office.com in your web browser


 Login to Office 365 with your GIK email ID as username


and provided password for Office365
 You can use the web-based Teams app, recommended
option is to download Microsoft Teams Desktop App

 Open Microsoft Teams App and login with your
Office365 credentials
 Joining a Team

 After the respective faculty

member add any student in his
classroom(Team), you will receive
an invitation email




 Open Microsoft Teams, click on
“Teams” Tab on Left pane, and
you can see all the classrooms
your faculty members have
added you to
 Joining a Team

 Click on your desired Classroom,


e.g. “Test”
 You can now communicate with
your class and see the lecture
material (video, documents, etc.)

shared by your faculty member
 You can switch between “Post”,
“Files”, and other tabs to see the
lecture material, assignments
and any other information shared
