MODULE 1

LESSON 1: COURSE OVERVIEW


ACTIVITY 1.
1. The main delivery of this course is through online Learning Action Cell (LAC).
2. This course will help me plan for the implementation of the school adopted LDMs, in our
case, distance learning (modular approach). It will also help me in the preparation of
materials and the execution of lessons needed for the LDMs.
3. The two support mechanisms are the Learning Action Cell (LAC) and Coaching
Mechanism. In LAC, discussions with co-teachers and LAC Leader/s will help in planning
the LDMs.
ACTIVITY 2
1. I am not confident in using this mode especially in dealing with things online. I do well in
face-to-face sessions. I get easily stressed from the fact that teachers must go through
these situations at such a difficult time. I must accept that my lack of experience in using
a computer will affect my participation in this course. But I will do my best to keep up
with the new normal.

ACTIVITY 1
1. I think it is easier to find support first with my co-teachers to get ideas in improving the
content of the materials as well as the pedagogical knowledge, practice, skills, and
attitude of me and my colleagues. Then, we can collaborate and improve the teaching-
learning process so that students can learn effectively in the new normal. Thus, this will
nurture teachers during the process to be successful in its goal of fostering a
collaborative spirit among the school and its stakeholders.

i. Given the current situation, members may not be available most of the
time. Some may experience difficulties accessing the internet or using a

i. Some members may find it boring because the setup is done online.
Some may feel uncomfortable sitting for hours in front of their
computers.
c. Funding
i. Some may find it difficult to provide the materials for the online setup
due to the lack of funding.
