You Can’t Trust
Her....Or Him
The “her” I mentioned is
California’s own home grown
Wicked Witch of the West, some know
her better as the United States Speaker of the House of
Representatives. That position used to be one of respect
and honesty back in the day when America was truly the
greatest nation on the planet. Back in the day when the
rest of the world trusted America to do the right thing.
Now they laugh at us saying, ‘now you look just like us
with your divisivness and fighting in the streets and your
corrupt government and crooked elections.’
Nancy Pelosi, taking her lead from people like Barrack
Obama, Hillary Clinton and the teachings of Radicals such
as Saul Alinsky, has been – in the last four years – the most
divisive force the Congress of the United States and the
remainder of the country has ever known.
From the publicly tearing-up of president Trump’s
SOTU speech to her now declaring that we need to pass
the new coronavirus relief bill “because we have a new
president” she has been the proverbial “thorn.” She has
voted against every bill president Trump signed and fought
him at every turn just because his name is Trump and he
is’nt a professional politician like herself. She voted against
the second relief bill saying it was “just half a loaf,” mainly
because it didn’t include her pork-barrel demands such
as $300,000 to the Arts Council and the myriad other
“foundations” that had nothing to do with the Wuhan
Virus. I believe there were about 30 porkies in the total bill
taking up over 40% of the “relief ” to Americans.
She lived by Alinsky’s rule #4 for Rules for Radicals
which states “Make your enemy live by it’s own book of rules.”
Trump was made to live by the rules but the Democrat party
goaded on by Pelosi demanded many changes that had no
detrimental effect on the Left but handcuffed the Right.
Saul’s rule # 8 says “Keep the pressure on” which Pelosi
did for four years after she and her Dark Agenda cronies,
thugs and crooks adopted the Alinsky Rule # 13 that says
“pick a target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it” which
if you will recall that is exactly what Pelosi’s cabal did along
with Nader and Schumer et. al.
But now, with Nancy’s recantations coming to light
“because we have a new president” she’s switching sides
which is what the Rules for Radicals handbook says to do
in rule # 8 which states, “a tactic that drags on too long
becomes a drag.”
She once called the coronavirus the “Trump” virus.
The kind of short-term relief that she blocked for months
is now acceptable. “It’s for a shorter period of time, but that’s
OK now,” Pelosi said, “because we have a new president.”
And that’s just a few of the myriad reasons we cannot
trust Nancy Pelosi to do the right thing.
Now on to “the Him” I mentioned, or as Nancy lovingly
calls him, “a new president.” We haven’t seen such a wishy-
washy politician since Huey Long in Louisiana. Biden has
changed horses in the middle of nowhere... uh, there’s a
‘stream’ somewhere in that quotation isn’t there? ….so many
times during his non-productive 47 years in congress that
it’s embarrassing. How can we trust an individual obviously
suffering from early stages of forgetfulness to hold any type of
meeting with any head of any foreign government to decide
any policy? Back in the day he was all for building the wall to
keep out criminals and illegal aliens. Now he wants to “tear
down that wall Mr. Trump.” He can’t even come up with his
own ‘cool’ sayings! He was a candidate who favored the police
and would fund them to keep criminals at bay and keep our
neighborhoods safe. But now he is favoring defunding police
or at best to remove police funds and move the funds to
something else that has been proven doesn’t work.
Uncle Joe would give all illegal aliens, all 10 million
of them, blanket citizenship when before he called for
immediate deportation of these “criminals, drug dealers,and
thieves. If they’re here illegally,” he said, “they must be
removed at once.” Joe once sponsored a drug bill that listed
53 drug offenses that carried the death penalty! Dis-Trust
and Verify I say.

Connors has a record

Two former Glasgow football players are listed
in the record book on the Montana High School
Association website. Some of the Scotty fans may
remember Robert Martin and Ted Connors. They
both had outstanding high school careers while
playing football for the Scotties.
Martin is 10th with the best completion
percentage with 61.1. The leader is Gary Wagner
of Havre with 68.5 average.
Connors shined on defense with the most
interceptions in his career, picking off seven passes
during the 1982-83 seasons. Brian Lebsock of
Frenchtown had 30 picks during his career, 2003-05.
Travis Walker of Plentywood had 21 from 1991-94.
However, they weren’t the only ones that shined
for Glasgow. I would like to name them all but I know
I would forget some so I won’t name any more. I do
remember the Connors – Bob, Ted and Tim – played
a big part in the Scotties winning championships.
Bob Connors (GHS 1981), who guided the
Scotties with his throwing arm and kicking leg to the
1980 Class A state title (a 22-19 win over Whitefish)
and played for the U of M Grizzlies as quarterback
before a career-ending knee injury, went on to have
a successful coaching career, leading Laurel to the
1999 state Class A football championship with a 21-
10 victory over Hamilton. He started his sideline
stint at Butte Central where he was an assistant
coach. He spent two years at Choteau, eight at
Stevensville and 13 at Laurel. Connors did return to
Glasgow later as the superintendent and is currently
the head man at Bozeman.
Tim Connors returned to his alma mater and
coached the Scotties from 1996 to 1997. I will have
more on the three Connors in a future story.
Most of the records are a few years old, like the
most points scored in a career had Luke May from
Whitefish holding down the top spot with 702
from 2012-15. In the second spot is Havre’s Dane
Warp with 662 from 2012-15. Missoula Loyola’s Bo
Hopkins has scored the most points in a season
with 384 in 2012, while Dallas Cook of Butte tallied
338 in 2013. Hopkins also scored 54 points in a
game against Deer Lodge during the 2016 season.
Sean Walsh of Butte Central had 52 against Havre
in 1991.
May scored 115 touchdowns in his career and
Warp followed with 109. Hopkins had 69 in a season
with Cook scoring 56. Hopkins also had nine TDs
in a game with Deer Lodge, while Walsh Had eight
against Havre. Cook also had eight against Billings
Skyview and Missoula Big Sky.
Tim Klinger of Great Falls High kicked 25
field goals in his career spanning 1987-89. Malta’s
Trevor Stiles is sixth with 12 field goals from 1991-
92. Andrew Larson of Great Falls CMR booted
11 field goals during the 1989 season. Brooks
Robinson of Great Falls High also had 11 in the
1985 season and Klinger 11 in 1988. Stiles is tied
for fifth with six in 1991 and 1992. Laurel’s Steve
Michael had four in a game. The longest field goal
is 63-yards by Travis Dorsch of Bozeman.
Glacier kicker Brandon Purdy booted 128
extra points during his career from 2013-14. Bjorn
Braggs of Colstrip kicked 10 PATs in a game with
Lodge Grass in 2012. Koby Owens of Deer Lodge
also had 10 against Ronan in 2015. Dylan Sandofur
of CMR kicked 34 straight extra points during the
2014 season. Stiles is tied for ninth with 14 straight.
Warp leads the state with the most total yards
in a career with 11,324. May follows with 10,812.
Cook racked up 5,011 yards in 2013 and 4,497 in
2012. He averaged 455.5 yards a game in 2013.
The newest record belongs to Asher Croy, who
played for Huntley Project before transferring to
Bozeman for his senior year. He rushed for 4,951
during his career from 2016-19. Jarett Laden of Cut
Bank ran for 2,387 yards in 2000 and John Bannon
of Deer Lodge rushed for 512 yards in a game with
Ronan in 2018. Three Forks’ Tucker Bronson held
the record of 455 yards in 2011. That was a game
that I covered while working for the Belgrade-
News.
Croy has the average record of 217.3 while
playing for Huntley Project in 2018.
