4. PROBLEM
Cycle 1: two pumps in parallel are activated to fill the reservoir 11 from the
minimum level to a 70% of your capacity. To the get to that level, be stop
the pump 2; the 1 pump stops upon reaching the level max.

6. QUESTIONS
What is the reason why an alternating pump start is made in a water pumping
system? What benefits and/or limitations are obtained by implementing it?
- To extend the service life of the pumping system, increase reliability and
reduce maintenance costs.
- Benefits: Extends the life of motors and mechanical components, avoids
mechanical stress in a single electric pump, increases reliability, fewer stops
and maintenance time.
What are the main failure modes of a water pump? How can you detect them
before a failure stops the bomb? Make a chart describe these failure modes.
What type of connection would you recommend for starting a water pump?
What is the livelihood of that choice?
- By soft Starter. Because it consumes less current at the start than a direct
start, and is comfortable to compare the start by speed variator.
7. SOLUTION
Prepare the Force and control diagrams for starting the pumps according
to the operating principle described.
