DCB-I
INTRODUCTION

DCB-I is an folding door control card. Door movements can be performed fast and safely by
intelligent control algorithm. It is possible to achieve properly, safely and fast door solutions with
its high technology.
 Device performs five zone control with high speed 32 bits Microprocessor
 DCB-I performs fast and soft door movements with PID algorithm and S curve.
 Driver components are much more powerful than competitors. This means, possible
effects of mechanical friction to door movement and risk of break down are minimized.
 DCB-I has five zones control algorithm for both open and close. It uses S curve for
acceleration and deceleration ramps.
 By simple settings menu, device facilitates door commissioning.
 Device protects motors and itself from overload and short circuit situations by monitoring
current.
 It supports electrical emergency operation by 24V DC battery input.
 Sound warming is supported in nudging time.
 Can operate with CAN-OPEN protocol.(not functional for standard products)

OPERATIONS

1. Normal Mode
In normal Mode, Door opens or closes according to the pump signal applied to LP1 and LP2
inputs.

2. Revision Mode
In Main Menu screen, if you press of “ESC” button long, door can be set into the Revision
Mode. When the device is in revision mode, door motor is de-energized. By this way the operator
can intervene the door manually (by hand). And Also the door can be moved within the limits with
“UP” and “DOWN” buttons .
By short press of “ESC” button exits Revision Mode. After exiting Revision mode, if CLOSE
signal is present and Learn Run had been performed, door will be closed in slow speed. If OPEN
signal is present and Learn Run had been performed, door will be opened in slow speed.

3. Learn Run Mode

In this mode, Learn Run operation is performed with the door is opened and closed in learn run
speed. After operation of Learn run, automatically assigned door moving region parameters will be
recorded.
When the device is energized first time, it will perform to learn run operation for first –time. To
perform a learn run , press “ENTER” for a minute in main menu
4. Battery Mode

If 20V-AC supply voltage fails, Door opens with warning sound and door doesn’t move until
supply voltage exists.

5. Nudging Mode

While the door is moving in normal mode, if nudging is determined, door opens if it is closing or
closes if it is opening.
MENU

Device has a LCD and 4 Butons on it. Buttons are “ESC”, “ENTER”, “UP” and “DOWN”.
When the device is energized first, shows main screen. Fist line shows status of door (Open, Close,
Opening, Closing and Nudging) and the second line shows “KP”, door position, “MH”, speed.
By press of “ENT” button for a minute to enter main menu from main screen. In the main menu
screen parameters can be shown with up and down buttons. To change parameter press “ENT” short.
After changing parameter, press “ENT” to save or press “ESC” to escape without save. To exit from
main menu, press “ESC” button short.

Partial Open/ Close:

 If this parameter is PASSIVE, even while the door is closing the pump signal is interrupted;
the door is completely closed, then opened. If pump signal is present while the door is
opening, the door is completely opened then closed.
 If this parameter is ACTIVE, while the door is closing if the pump signal is interrupted; the
door stops and reopens in partial open/close speed. While the door is opening if the pump
signal is present, the door stops and recloses in partial open/close speed.

DOOR MOVEMENTS

Door movements in the base;

I. Acceleration Region
II. Door High Speed Region
III. Deceleration Region
IV. Door Slow Speed Region

Performed in 4 regions above

PID control algorithm is utilized to achieve the target speed in each zone. Also the transition
between zones is performed fast and smoothly in acceleration and declaration zones.

When the door reaches the limit, open or close operations are completed. In this region, door
is held open or close with reduced torque which is set by “Constant Force” parameter.
