    Sanitarium

    It can be assumed that Charles went to the sanitarium after the bull market crash. Since
    Charles used to waste his money and time to visit various bars and clubs during the late
    hours of the day, he became addicted to alcohol after all. Charles went to the sanitarium
    to fight his alcoholism. During his stay at the sanitarium, his wife, Helen, died because of
    “heart trouble”. Since Charles was not available to take care of his own daughter, Helen’s
    sister, Marion, place Honoria, the daughter of Charles and Helen under her care.
