John Coburn

This paper focuses on Australian artist John Coburn’s wartime experiences and
how this inspired his painting. Coburn resigned from his work in the bank to serve in
the navy during World War II and painted when he had time. The ship he was on went
to various places, thus Coburn was exposed to many different art styles.
