Requirements for TechGirls Application Process

Age Policy

This program is for girls between the ages of 15 and 17 years of age. If you are less
than 15 years of age or over 17 years of age on June 1, 2020, please do not apply for
this program as you will be deemed ineligible. Applicants must have at least one
additional semester of secondary school remaining in Fall 2020.

Completing the Application

Though the application allows for applicants to stop and return, we urge all applicants
to be as prepared as possible when beginning the application. The application process
takes time and has several important pieces. Please note also that the application
requires contact information and a signature from at least one parent/guardian.

You can start and leave as you go, but it is super important to remember your user name and
password to avoid duplicate entries.

Before you apply make sure you gather the following:

1. A good photograph (headshot) (.jpg or .png, no larger than 2 MB)

2. Your latest school transcript or report (PDF)
3. You will complete eight essay questions. We recommend these are longer than
150 words and no more than 350 words
4. If you have a passport, you will need to include the number. It is not required to
have a passport to apply.
