Archangel Serafiel - A Great Fiery One of God
by TREESE Posted: Sat Jan 26, 2013 11:26 am

Question, please - May I ask the Name of the Archangel in your Tradition that would correspond to
the Archangel Sealtiel of the Catholic Faith? And, perhaps the Sefira where I might find him on the
Tree of Life, as well?

This is what I was able to find on-line about him:

He has other names, as well: Zerachiel and Seraphiel, to name two.

St. Sealtiel continually stands before God, with incenser in hand, as symbol of the prayers &
offering of the Divine Sacrifice of the Mass, in unceasing adoration of the Most Holy Trinity.

One of the 7 Archangels of ENOCH

Archangel of Prayer, Worship, and Contemplation

Said to have Healing Gifts

Guardian of THURSDAY.

He is also the Angel of the Seventh Seal, spoken about in Rev. 8:3-4.
And, in the verses following 3-4, his offering of the Prayers of God’s people were heard by God,
and so he was commanded to hurl the golden censer to the earth in judgment against the evils
perpetrated against God’s people.

Another of his Titles is “God’s Command”.

"And another angel came and stood before the altar, having a golden censer; and there was
given him much incense, that he should offer of the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar,
which is before the throne of God. And the smoke of the incense of the prayers of the saints
ascended up before God from the hand of the angel." (Apoc 8:3-4)

Serafiel, the "Seraph of God"

by Tau Malachi Posted: Sat Jan 26, 2013 3:04 pm
Grace and peace to you in Hayyah Yeshua, the Risen Messiah!

In our Christian Kabbalah, in speaking of the angel bearing the golden censor the name Seraphiel
(or Serafiel) is used, which literally means “Seraph of God,” or “Fiery Serpent of God.” As the
name of this a archangel implies, Serafiel comes from the order of seraphim (or serafim), and in
that this is the order of angels corresponding with Gevurah-Severity (or Din-Judgment), so there is
a correspondence of Serafiel with Gevurah. This correspondence clearly plays out in the Book of
Revelation and what the archangel is commanded to do with the golden censor.

If we look into mysteries of the orders of angels, the serafim worship in the interior Shekinah

(Presence), while the kerubim worship in the exterior Shekinah, and likewise they are called
“guardians of the interior Shekinah of Yahweh,” while the kerubim are “guardians of the exterior
Shekinah"; as such they are guardians of the holiness of God, and nearness to God, or intimacy with
God – true communion. These qualities are attributed to Serafiel in our oral tradition, and it is said
that Serafiel can impart to the faithful and spiritual elect the knowledge of how to enter into the
most intimate communion with the Messiah and El Elyon.

In the tradition Serafiel is associated with charismatic worship, “gifted worship,” or the worship of
God with great passion and cleaving – devekut; and at times Serafiel is called the “angelic prince of
devekut-cleaving.”

This is in complete harmony with something else that is taught in our oral tradition, that Serafiel
holds the knowledge and power of the awakening of the serpent power (or fire snake) in the
Human One, and so labors for this awakening, and joined with this holds knowledge of secret
mysteries of the Messiah, or the dawn of Messianic Consciousness. On account of this, if and when
an elder or tau of the lineage wishes to engage the Light Transmission, or wishes to spark a
spontaneous awakening of the serpent power in an aspirant, at times they will invoke Serafiel.

Interestingly enough, at times in our Christian Kabbalah Serafiel is associated with the True
Chrism, or influxes of the Supernal Light. Joined with this association, Serafiel has been called a
“Prince of the Anointing,” and also, a “preacher of the Gospel in the world of angels.”

In that this archangel is said to bear the golden censor filled with the prayers of the faithful and
spiritual elect, and Archangel Sandalfon is said to uplift the prayers of the faithful and elect into
the interior Shekinah, so there is a deep connection and relationship between Serafiel and
Sandalfon, the archangel of Malkut. If Serafiel also uplifts and offers the prayers of the faithful and
spiritual elect before the Throne of Glory, and we understand that Malkut is called the “Gate of
Prayers,” then there is also a correspondence of Serafiel with Malkut. In the Holy Kabbalah it is
said that Malkut is “ruled by Gevurah,” and therefore the dual correspondence applies very well.

There is also another teaching that is given concerning Serafiel, one that leads to another
correspondence among the Sefirot. In the fourth heaven, Zebul, corresponding with Netzach-
Victory, there is celestial Jerusalem with the celestial temple, or cathedral, in the center, and
there it is said that St. Michael presides as an archangelic high priest, offering soul of the righteous
on the altar of burnt offering, translating them into “smoke,” pure spirit, and in this way souls
ascend from the fourth heaven to the fifth heaven, Ma’on. According to one teaching Serafiel
escorts and uplifts souls during this transition into the interior, or spiritual heaven beyond Zebul. In
this teaching Serafiel is associated with a radical spiritual conversion or transformation of souls in
the Spirit of the Messiah, and in another teaching connected with this is said to be an archangel
holding the knowledge and power of the divine rapture, and special knowledge and understanding
of the Great Ascension. This latter, of course, is how Serafiel might come to be associated with
one of the seven archangels in Enoch 1 (Zerachiel, or Araqael), and perhaps associated with one of
the seven archangels mentioned in Christian Gnostic Scriptures (Sealtiel).

In our lineage, and in our experience of our angelic siblings in the Light Continuum and Living
Body, we do not necessarily view the angelic presences bearing these various names as one and the
same archangel; likewise we do understand that multiple angels can bear the same name,
indicating their knowledge and power, and mission or divine action, not dissimilar to many human
beings that may share the same name, though be very different individuals.

There is one more teaching, or legend, in our oral tradition that might be of interest to you dear
sister. In it Serafiel has a deep connection with the Holy Bride, and with the outpouring of the
tongues of fire on Pentecost.

God bless you and keep you in the Way!

INITIATION AND ARCHANGEL SERAPHIEL

by TREESE Posted: Sun Jan 27, 2013 9:24 am

Blessings, and infinite gratitude for your Reply - All you have said reached my very heart, where
each word, as if by osmosis, was "understood".

If I may now ask: The Gevurah-JUDGEMENT aspect that you spoke of; might that Judgement of
Humanity (the hurling of the Censer to Earth) in response to human pleas and cries for it, be
enacted more Mercifully, or even averted, if people with the Calling to Prayer and Contemplation
pleaded for Forgiveness for humankind and for an uplifting of the Consciousness of all beings?

Could this be included in the message carried by AA Seraphiel to one chosen to be a part of this
particular aspect of The Great Work? To be an Intercessor on the "inside", that God's Judgment
might come by way of Mercy, Love and Light? (knowing that such a one may have to also bare some
of the Karmic burden by personal self-sacrifice and suffering)

It seems to me that the Christ spoke this message when He balanced the Karma of the sins of the
world through His Mercy, Love and Sacrifice, in Obedience to God's Will for His Incarnation, rather
than through Judgment and harsh sentence.

A Brief but significant Second Question, if you please - If your Reply IS in the affirmative, does one
still pray for the binding of the forces of Klippot (such as in the PSALMS) as part of this Great Work?

As I understand it, both Mercy and Judgment stem from Love, and both are necessary, as long as
they do stem from Love. Purified Love!

If time permits you, do Reply.

Most Graciously,
TREESE

Mercy & Judgment, True Compassion

by Tau Malachi Posted: Sun Jan 27, 2013 12:00 pm

Greetings and blessings in the Holy Light of the Messiah!

Yes, indeed, we are meant to pray for the mitigation of Judgment, for forgiveness and for Mercy;
and so we pray for the deliverance of souls, the healing of souls, and the illumination of souls in
the Messiah, and we pray for the evolution and ascension of consciousness for all beings, the
ongoing revelation of Christ and the Holy Gospel. At the same time, though, there are also prayers
of Judgment, understanding that Judgment is a manifestation of the Mercy of God (El). As St. Paul
teaches us, our battle is not against blood and flesh, nor strife between souls, but it is against
spiritual forces of darkness, ignorance, established in celestial places; hence, the klippot. As we
pray for Mercy, so also we pray for Judgment, the diminishing of archonic forces, and the binding
and banishing of dark and hostile forces, demonic forces.

True Compassion is the union of Mercy and Judgment in the wisdom of skillful means, and as such,
the prayer warrior has prayers of Mercy and Judgment. We may recall that receiving the Holy
Spirit, we receive the power of Mercy and Judgment – boundless Compassion; hence, the power to
release and retain sin, or negativity. In general, in this divine action, we release sin, negative
karma, and we bind, or retain, and shatter, klippotic forces. In Compassion, though, there is an
even greater spectrum of skillful means, for as we engage klippotic forces we entertain a play of
pacification, enrichment and subjugation, and only when none of these are possible, destruction;
in other words, our desire and hope is for the deliverance or salvation of all living spirits and souls.

In this play you are correct, we are willing to the rite of ransom as co-redeemers with our Elder
Brother, Yeshua Messiah, and so we are willing to take on the suffering of the sin or negative
karma of the world; this is well expressed in our practice of Giving and Receiving, which is an
energetic practice generating the Sacred Heart and “taking up our cross and following our Lord.”

19/11/2018 Sophian.org • Archangel Serafiel - A Great Fiery One of God

This is exactly what Adonai Yeshua calls us to do when he says, “Love one another as I have loved
you.”

Here we may say that this expresses the wisdom of Serafiel, if we consider it, for as we have said
there is something of self-offering in Serafiel, and it is through self-offering that we draw near and
unite with Christ and God, the True Light; hence, it is through self-offering that we experience a
deeper and more intimate communion with the Living Word.

This truth of the play of Mercy and Judgment, and the unification of Mercy and Judgment in
Compassion, we see among our siblings in the kingdom of heaven, the angels; and as we know, the
saints, tzaddikim in the Messiah, are like unto the angels in the Living Body – we co-labor with
them, all as God wills it, all as God ordains.

Shabbat Shalom!

Connecting with Serafiel

by Tau Malachi Posted: Mon Jan 28, 2013 12:06 pm

Greetings and blessings in the Holy Light of the Messiah!

I wrote this post in response to a post that appears to have been deleted, but in that the time was
spent to write this response, nevertheless I'm inclined to post it and to share the thoughts that
arose.

With any Sefirah there are literally countless corresponding angels, so rather than a linear
attribute of color based upon the colors associated with the Sefirot we look into the knowledge and
power of angels, and the spiritual works or missions for which they are sent to develop
visualizations; yet more, though, through prayer, meditation and sacred ceremony we invoke
them, seeking revelations of their forms or images. These revelations may come through dream or
vision, or through a more direct visitation. In general, we find that angels can assume a number of
appearances, depending on their message and mission, their revealed images conveying something
of this to us; and we find that archangels have many different emanations, corresponding with
their great knowledge, and their diverse dominions and powers, so with archangels we usually
become acquainted with a number of forms, and based upon how they appear to us we gain insight
into why they have come, or the divine action for which they have been sent.

We can, indeed, share images that can be envisioned for the sake of kavvanah-concentration in
prayer and meditation, and for use in union with partzuf meditations – union with “divine
personifications.” These images, however, are provisional, even if completely accurate to
revelations and visions in the experience of spiritual adepts and masters, or tzaddikim, for until we
enter into direct experience of an angel, or maggid, and experience a revelation of their light
body, or their presence and power, it is conceptual. Such envisioned images, though, may be taken
up by the corresponding divine being and force at times, and so in this way are also useful to us.
Nevertheless, whenever we seek a deeper acquaintance and communion with angels, maggidim,
and seek true knowledge and conversation, or co-actions in prayer, we will pray for a visitation or
revelation of that holy angel of God, asking God to gifts us knowledge and communion with the
angel. Through the Holy Spirit and the inner aspects of our soul this is entirely possible for us, for
we have a deep interconnection with the angels, our siblings in the Light Continuum (Yahweh), and
our neshamah, our heavenly and supernal soul, is very similar to the presence and power of
archangels. Thus, we pray, asking for the knowledge we seek in the fullness of faith, never
doubting our prayers will be answered, just as St. James teaches us to do concerning wisdom
(Hokmah).

The angels may very well assume an appearance just like those taught by tzaddikim, but they may
also reveal themselves in other forms to us, all as they are inclined, all as ordained by the Lord
God (Yahweh Elohim). Either way, when they do it is a spiritual empowerment for contact and
communion with them, the sparking of something of a spiritual friendship, you might say, and it is

http://www.sophian.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=2611&view=print 4/18
19/11/2018 Sophian.org • Archangel Serafiel - A Great Fiery One of God

a great blessing. As angels reveal themselves to us, so they communicate their spiritual knowledge
and power, and in much the same way as with tzaddikim, or true “saints,” there is an exchange of
sparks between us, and so our soul and the angels with which we commune share a special
connection, one that can continue to play out in the heavens and in future incarnations. Usually,
souls have already formed connections with angels in previous lives and their respites in the
heavens in between, in much the same way that connections have been formed with many other
souls in previous lives, and yet with the development and evolution of the soul, as its realization in
the Messiah increases, these connections grow and increase; naturally so! Thus, we have every
reason to pray, invoking a revelation, and it may be that the revelation is more of a “reminder” of
a spiritual relationship that preexisted this life.

If we have a very strong attraction to an angel or archangel, or a deep “feeling” for an angel in our
soul, this may very well reflect a previous connection, and perhaps may reflect corresponding
spiritual works we have come to enact; that’s assuming, though, the attraction comes from our
inner being and heart, and not from the surface consciousness and ego. In much the same way that
we learn to go within and live within to receive the Holy Light from above, the same is true in our
communion with the spirits of tzaddikim and maggidim, or “saints and angels,” and in this there is
true spiritual discernment.

In this regard your draw to Serafiel is quite intriguing, as this isn’t an angel many aspirants are led
to inquire about, and as you have said, few talk about or seem very acquainted with Serafiel. The
association of Serafiel with Light Transmission of True Chrism, however, does make him/her a
common angelic presence in our lineage and tradition, just as does his/her association with the
Magdalene, the Tower of the Flock.

Now we may share a couple of appearances of Serafiel that can be envisioned. First, there is the
obvious appearance as the angel with the golden censor; in this appearance Serafiel appears male,
robed in gold and white, in what appears to be angelic priestly garb studded with jewels, and he
has an aura of “flaming light.” Second, at times Serafiel may assume the form of a Great Seraf,
with six wings, the four faces, bearing a holy staff, with an awesome presence and power that is
something like a radiant solar fire, and a voice that is something like thunder, though very noble
and gentle when heard inwardly in the heart and soul. Often in this form, three faces will be
concealed and only the face that is like unto the human one will appear, and the appearance of
that face will be androgynous. There are other emanations of Serafiel, but these are the two most
common that are shared for initial visualization during prayer and meditation.

As you contemplate Serafiel, you might contemplate the angel that appeared to Gideon when he
was called as a judge of Israel; an angel that bore a staff, which the angel used to cause the
offering of Gideon to be instantly consumed by fire emerging from a stone altar. According to
masters of the tradition, that angel of God was from the order of Serafim.

As for incense or oil associated with this archangel, it’s the traditional frankincense and myrrh,
though in our lineage and tradition we often add rose to this in remembrance of the Holy Bride.

There is something more that we can share concerning Serafiel, which might be good to record for
the community. As I’ve shared above, Serafiel is associated with Light Transmission, and is often
invoked by elders and tau engaging Light Transmission; this is very common if and when an apostle
intends the communication of Light Transmission with a sister or brother at a distance, one who is
not in their physical presence. In this there is a unification of Judgment and Mercy, for if and when
an aspirant cannot visit and meet a living tzaddik or apostle in person, this corresponds with
Judgment, or Severity (restriction), but if and when a tzaddik engages Light Transmission at a
distance it is the mitigation of Judgment, and is Mercy, if the aspirant is able to receive and
integrate the energetic transmission, remains faithful, and lives in the love of the Messiah. In this
we may understand how Serafiel is a very significant archangel in our lineage and tradition,
especially in these times when we work with so many sisters and brothers living at great distances
from us. Our angelic siblings in the Light Continuum are continually offering spiritual assistance in
the extension of blessings and spiritual empowerments to individuals near and far, in this world,
and in other worlds of the entirety. Praise God!

19/11/2018 Sophian.org • Archangel Serafiel - A Great Fiery One of God

In terms of the revealed appearances of angels there is also something more we can share. There
are revelations, appearances, in the astral, spiritual and supernal dimensions, and corresponding
with the gradation of their appearance is the blessing, or influx of spiritual power, we will
experience; the astral being the most measured in Simple Mercy, the supernal, a manifestation of
Abundant Mercy, unmeasured, boundless. At times, as the Holy Scriptures relate, there is also the
possibility of what may seem like a material appearance in visitation, akin to the three angelic
visitors that Sarah and Abraham entertained. All of these different gradations of visitation have
occurred with initiates of our lineage, and so we can bear witness of the ongoing angelic
intercession and communion to this very day; hence, that such manifestations of the Mercy of God
are not just events of the past, and more so, are not completely “mythical,” or a matter of
“folklore.” It is, in fact, from an ongoing communion with angels, maggidim, that the large body of
teachings about them in our tradition has been generated, and continues to grow and evolve. I
share this because I believe in these dark and tumultuous times witnessing about the ongoing
revelation of God, and the Living Presence and Power of God, is very important, bolstering faith
and encouraging individuals to return to God; hence, to encourage a spirituality of direct
experience, opening minds and hearts to the greater possibilities of spiritual and mystical
experience in Christ and God, the True Light. An actual communion with angels, maggidim, and the
invocation of angels, is integral to this, for the angels remain the primary intermediation between
the Most High and the human collective in a play of Simple Mercy – the manifestation of the Mercy
of God that the majority of souls can receive.

The truth is that relatively few souls in the present human collective can receive the direct and
full Supernal Influx, or an unmeasured influx of the Christ-Spirit, but many can receive measured
influxes of the Christ-Spirit, and the intercession of the angels of God in Christ. Thus, the
intercession of tzaddikim and maggidim, or “saints and angels,” is very important to the Great
Work in this world, or the harvest of souls in this world. If we will take up the continuum of prayer
or intercession for souls with the tzaddikim and maggidim, so we will find ourselves in their good
company, and they will be present with us in prayer.

In closing we can say this. If and when we think of the holy angels of God, or we speak of the holy
angels of God, if done in faith and love we attract them to us and form a connection with them,
and in that very instant they are with us. The same is true when we think and speak about any
spiritual mystery, if in faith and love, and with kavvanah-concentration and devekut-cleaving, so
something of that spiritual power, that light-power, is invoked and present with us – any time we
turn to God, the Living Presence and Power of God is with us (Emmanuel).

I will hold you in my heart and prayers sister.

Peace be with you!

Dear Tau Malachi and Forum Members - I offer you All my most sincere and humble apology for
deleting the Post to which, through his merciful heart, Tau Malachi responded anyway.

I was embarassed to ask a third question, after so much time had already been given to my first
two Questions. I felt I was taking time away from the time he could be spending with all of you.

Please pardon me. I meant no disrespect.

Having said that, I will now proceed to read the Reply Post to my Deleted Question, by Tau

Dear Sister,
Greetings and blessings to you in the Light of Maggidim and Tzaddikim!

This conversation is quite delightful and essential points about our dear siblings in the Light, the
Maggidim, angels, are being brought out! There is no need for embarrassment for we are a
community growing together in the Christ Spirit and each member plays an essential and unique
role! Praise God for our individual portions that weave together in this Greater Body, the Living
Body of our Lord!

It does seem, Dear Tau, as you say, that in these dark times moving with the angels in deeper
communion is very important. Many empowerments and transmissions are being given through their
agency for members and potential members of the body spread out over the face of this good
Earth. The thought that we have made many connections to our angelic siblings in past lives in
many realms had not occurred to me, but now I am reeling in joy at what seems a very obvious
revelation!

There have been many teachings given of how to co-labor with Spirit for the conditions for grace to
move in Light Transmission. So in opening up to this grand potential, this astounding gift, we may
also see that there is an entire assembly of tzaddikim and maggidim, moving with Tzaddik. My view
of our cooperation is opening up into deeper realms, deeper places in heart, mind and life, where
we may expand our invitation to the Light with this understanding that our angelic siblings, some
of whom we have moved with in the past, are helping empower our illumination. What an expanse
of contemplation has opened through this thread!

So, also it seems that in expanding our "network" of spiritual friends more deeply into angelic
realms we are in a co-labor for greater success in Light Transmission for Tzaddik, for the benefit of
all who are open and desirous to receive this Light. What is also coming up is movements in prayer
and ritual with a deepening involvement with Holy Angels, not just an awareness of their presence
but an actual invitation to move and pray and worship with them. This is a welcome shift in view!
Perhaps more might be said of inviting these friendships and strengthening these relationships for
the Great Work.

May we walk in the Presence of the Living Body, growing in grace as members of this Body!
Messiah Shalom!
Anna

Thank You, Sister, for your very warm re-assurance, and for your contribution to this discussion.
And, thank you, especially, Tau Malachi, for what was a truly inspirational and enlightening Reply
to my Post.

I believe that clinging to the Lord through a quiet Life of Prayer is a great part of the draw for me,
personally, to Serafiel, but...

With regard to the Healing and Judgment aspect of Serafiel - Might he also come to assist one in
navigating through the ordeal following having received a Direct Light transmission, as I believe it
is called, when one's Karma is thrust upon one's self, as an eventuality of such an initiation?
Provided of course that one was grateful for the opportunity of the ordeal, though at times
struggling terribly nonetheless with the revelation of one's past ignorance in the face of such Light
that was imparted by the Gift?

Again, my humble gratitude,

Angels & Light Transmission

by Tau Malachi Posted: Tue Jan 29, 2013 1:46 pm

Grace and peace to you from Yahweh Elohim, and from Adonai Messiah!

There is no need for an apology, dear sister, none whatsoever, and likewise regarding your
questions, there is no need to concern yourself with taking anything away from other members of
our online community. There is something to be said of good questions, those asked in faith and
love that are from the heart, for as much as any response that might come, so they are inspirations
of the Holy Spirit, and they act as invocations of the Holy Spirit, and Christ and the angels. When
any sister or brother asks a question of the heart, asking in faith and love, so they serve to draw
out teachings of the Living Word, or mysteries of the Torah and Gospel, and as they receive, so
others also receive. The truth is, each individual member in community has unique insights and
inspirations, and unique questions, and so they may serve to draw out teachings and mysteries that
others might not; but when an individual draws them out, all receive on account of them, and so
even in asking a question our unique essence (yechidah) shines. This is revealed in the Gnostic
Gospel, Pistis Sophia, in which the Magdalene asks the most questions, and gives the most
interpretations of teachings, more than all of the other disciples combined. Because of this, deep
mysteries are revealed, inner and secret teachings of the Risen Christ and Gospel, that otherwise
would not have been revealed. There is much to be said of the art of asking a question from the
heart, from our inner being, for inspired by the Holy Spirit – the Fiery Intelligence in us, so the
question contains the answer, like a seed contains the tree. My beloved tzaddik, Tau Elijah, always
liked to remind of this – questions themselves are a creative art in spiritual discourse, and spiritual
discourse itself is prayer. Thus, questions in faith and love are invocations, invoking influxes of the
Holy Spirit and Divine Attributes. These influxes are the light-power within and behind the words of
teachings given.

First, it must be said that the principle vehicle of the Light Transmission, or true Christ-Spirit, is
the Human One; hence, the Divine Incarnation in the person of our Elder Brother, Yeshua Messiah,
and the generation of Gnostic Apostolic Succession bearing the Holy Light, the Living Spirit. Thus,
it is the tzaddik, or apostle, and the community – the Living Body, which is the vehicle of Light
Transmission, the vehicle through which the Christ-Spirit, Supernal Light, is transmitted. In the
same way, and on account of this, so it is through the generations of the Human One, the evolution
of the Human One – the spiritual elect humanity (Community of Israel), that the Holy Torah and
Gospel are revealed, the Torah and Gospel being placed into the heart of the Human One.

Our angelic siblings in the Light Continuum (Yahweh) co-labor with us in this Light Transmission,
co-laboring for the fulfillment of God’s will in creation, and the salvation of spirits and souls; it is
given to us to bear the Holy Light and embody the Holy Light, and so engage the Light Transmission
in this world and in the inner dimensions, and with their knowledge and power the angels labor
with us to help co-create the necessary conditions for action of Divine Grace, or Light
Transmission. Thus, the angels are not invoked to impart the Light Transmission, but rather to help
facilitate the conditions, or energetic environment, in which it is imparted, received and
integrated, and brought to fruition. In a word, they are invoked to minister to those receiving and
integrating the Light Transmission, and to extend the various divine blessings they bear, and to use
their knowledge and power to help bring about the situations, circumstances and events through
which the Christ-Spirit is communicated, the Gospel being heard with understanding.

Here it must be said, the Light Transmission is not just seen, but is heard, and seeing and hearing
must go together for wisdom, understanding and knowledge to dawn; and the angels of God are
integral to souls seeing and hearing, and so receiving and integrating the Holy Light.

Your intuition concerning Seraphiel, dear sister, is perfectly correct. Serafiel is invoked to help
facilitate the conditions necessary for Light Transmission with an aspirant at a distance, as well as
to help guard that Seed of Light, and to give guardianship and guidance to souls through the Ordeal
of Initiation, and through Dark Nights of the Soul. When initiation and empowerments are gifted to
an aspirant who lives at a distance from actual community, they do not have the same support and
sanctuary as a companion in actual circle, and they are more susceptible to the influence and

assaults of dark and hostile forces, and likewise to falling back into old ways; this is especially true
during more vulnerable times, like the ordeals following initiation or empowerment, and the dark
nights of the soul. Thus, when initiating and empowering aspirants at a distance tzaddikim will
engage in special prayers and invocations, and they will invoke a greater intercession of the angels,
the maggidim, to guard and guide their spiritual friends, and to generate an energetic sanctuary
for them. Serafiel, along the Kamael, are significant in this, Serafiel to open the way, and to help
facilitate reintegration with the Holy Light, and Kamael for divine guardianship; joined with these,
as you might intuit, so also there are special invocations of the six archangels of the sacred circle,
Metatron, Sandalfon, Rafael, Michael, Gavriel and Oriel (or Uriel). Then, along with these, other
archangels and angels may also be invoked as the Holy Spirit inspires, or according to the
knowledge a tzaddik or apostle holds of the tikkunim-healings of souls; hence, according to the
spiritual needs of each individual aspirant.

The extent to which the angels of God can render spiritual assistance, of course, is dependent
upon the faith and love of the aspirant, and the cleaving of the aspirant to the Risen Christ and the
Living Body (tzaddik and community) in their heart and soul; the greater our faith and love, the
greater our cleaving, the greater the spiritual assistance the angels of Christ and God can give.

Here we may say, where there is faith and love the angels are very eager to minister to souls; but
then, in truth, it is their desire to minister to all, for they know the love God has for all creatures,
the desire of God for the enlightenment and liberation of all living spirits and souls.

Among the angels of God, however, there is a distinct play of Mercy, Judgment and Compassion,
and they have peaceful, wrathful and blissful emanations, and the vision and intention of the
angels is not that of mortals or this world, but rather it is of the kingdom of heaven, and its
righteousness, God’s righteousness and holiness. As such, the angels, our siblings in the Light
Continuum, can be very jealous, or very zealous, and as they engage in their spiritual assistance at
times they can be fiery and fierce; angels are not the “warm fluffy” creatures so often depicted in
New Age teachings – far from it!

This is well reflected by Serafiel, and what Serafiel does with the golden censor in the Apocalypse,
and it is reflected throughout the Holy Scriptures in what is taught of the angels of God and their
divine actions, peaceful and wrathful, in Mercy and in Judgment.

In this regard, if we wish to receive the Holy Light, and reintegrate with the Holy Light, and if we
wish to draw near to the Holy Shekinah and united with the Holy Shekinah, and we wish to
entertain the good company of angels, so as with the tzaddikim, the saints, we wish to cleave to
the Risen Christ and we wish to resemble the Risen Christ; hence we wish to “put on the Blessed
Name,” or wear the “Body of Vision.” In this way the holy angels will minister to us in peace and
joy, and they will receive the charge, as it were, to utilize their knowledge and power to render
full spiritual assistance.

As much as we may speak of the Sanctuary of Grace in Yeshua Messiah, and our Union of Grace, so
we must understand that we need to cooperate with Divine Grace, and co-labor with Divine Grace
to create the conditions for her full Divine Action; her manifestation with us as the Holy Spirit and
the angels of God.

In this we may understand that the reason we invoke the presence of angelic hosts is to pray with
them, and to act in harmony with them in the Shekinah of the Messiah; and while they give
spiritual strength to us, so also our prayers strengthen their influence and power on earth and in
heaven. There is something of a reciprocal relationship between our siblings, the angels, and us;
and if we are willing to this reciprocal relationship, so they will be very faithful and generous with
their spiritual assistance.

There is something to be said, however, regarding our need for the fierce manifestation of the
archangels and angels in the Mercy of Christ and God. First, at times, for the sake of our
correction, or restoration to truth and righteousness, we need their fierceness. At times, the
manifestation of Judgment is Mercy restoring our soul to the Holy Light, and by way of what seems

a severe action they may serve to bring this about. More than this, though, the angels are often
called the “armies of God” (Elohim) or “armies of the Lord” (Yahweh); hence, “warriors of
heaven.” As we know, there is a great conflict of spiritual forces in the entirety, a conflict
between divine, archonic and demonic spiritual forces, and if and when a soul receives the Holy
Light in this world very swiftly there are spiritual forces that will rush in to steal the light-power,
as well as dark and hostile forces that will engage in assaults. In this regard we may recall the
temptation of Adonai Yeshua in the wilderness after he received the Spirit of the Messiah.
Understanding this, we will understand the need for the fierce manifestation of the angels of God
in divine guardianship, helping to fend off the attacks of archonic and demonic forces – klippotic
forces.

If we abide in the Sanctuary of Grace, in faith and love, the angels are very zealous in defense of
us, and will move with full force against spiritual forces of the Other Side that attempt to assault
us, or attempt to steal the light-power of our soul.

As we see in the story of the temptation, though, we ourselves must not give into the temptations
that arise, but rather choose what is good and true, abiding in faith and love; for if we give in to
temptation, or give in to shades and shadows (klippot), then because of the gift of free will we
have, under the law the action of the angels in defense of us becomes restricted, or limited.

The same is true of the spiritual assistance of tzaddikim as well, for they must also honor free will
and the choices we make.

Here we can speak a simple truth. In the Christ-Spirit each and every one of us is called to live as
saints and the angels of God, or tzaddikim and maggidim, and so we are all called to take up the
spiritual works of saints and angels. Here perhaps we should remember that originally, all of the
faithful and spiritual elect were called “saints,” all who received the Holy Light, Holy Spirit, were
anointed as saints by Christ and God; it was not isolate to just a few in the Church, and there was
no industry of selling sainthood. In truth, all who are in Christ are saints in Christ if they co-
operate with Divine Grace and labor for progress in the Gospel. Thus, we seek to live as saints, or
tzaddikim, and we labor for the full embodiment of the Christ-Spirit as we witness in our Elder
Brother (Yeshua) and Elder Sister (Mirya), and in so doing the holy angels are not only our siblings,
but they are our spiritual friends; just as Christ has called us friends, so will the angels of Christ
and God!

In this light, there is something more to be said of the invocation of archangels and angels. We
invoke archangels and angels corresponding with our intention in prayer and the inspirations of the
Holy Spirit in prayer, and so our prayers, in effect, become the prayers of the archangels and
angels invoked. The prayers of angels join with ours, and ours join with theirs. When this happens
the angels “lend us their power,” in a manner of speaking, so that in the Holy Spirit their power
moves with, in and through us, and therefore blessings flow and wonders transpire in this world, all
as ordained by the Most High.

It is really more than a “lending,” though, for if and when we pray in full faith and love, and with
full kavvanah-concentration and devekut-cleaving, on an energetic level we merge with the angels,
merging with the Holy Shekinah, and their knowledge and power is gifted to us. Afterwards, very
often something of that knowledge and power will remain with us. As we have said, our
relationship with angels is reciprocal, and in these exchanges they also are gifted with the
knowledge and power from our soul, the knowledge of the Torah and Gospel that is given to the
generations of the Human One, and this also remains with them. There is, in truth, a very dynamic
exchange of sparks between the angels and us, and through this exchange all creation is uplifted,
is evolving, towards its fruition in Christ and God, the True Light.

Here we can share an open secret, one hinted at in the Zohar again and again. In the Zohar we are
taught that the study and contemplation of the Torah and Gospel is greater than prayer. This is
naturally very curious, for we might think that prayer is the greatest activity of all, given that in
this world the Human One, the Speaking One, is the only creature that can engage full prayer on
behalf of all, and there is such a great need for prayer. However, angels, along with faithful and

spiritual human beings, tend the continuum of prayer, but the Torah and Gospel were not given to
the angels, they were given to humanity, and as such, the study and contemplation of the Torah
and Gospel, and the embodiment of the Christ-Spirit, the Living Word, is given to human beings.
Thus, it is humanity through which the mysteries of the Torah and Gospel are drawn out and
revealed, and so the study and contemplation of the Torah and Gospel is called “greater” than
prayer. We can say something more regarding this, however, for when new teachings and
revelations of the Torah and Gospel are spoken, angels rush to listen and hear, and so they draw
near, and they bring their knowledge and power with them in exchange; as new teachings and
revelations occur, so when we pray the angels are swift to pray with us, and therefore there is
greater power in our prayers. This is a significant part of how prayers are empowered to ascend
before the Throne of Glory through study and contemplation of the Holy Torah and Gospel, or
contemplation of the Living Word and Wisdom of God.

It is truly a great mystery, and an awesome blessing, that we have something to give to our angelic
siblings in return, and that such a dynamic exchange of light-power has been ordained between us
in the Living Body of Christ; it leaves one filled with holy awe and wonder, and praise and
thanksgiving, and generates great zeal for the Word of God.

In this light, perhaps you might understand that the angels are also blessed by our questions, for
they too receive answers from the Spirit of God with us – the entire enlightened family is blessed in
this way! Praise God!

You might say that it is given to the Human One to invoke, and to ask questions, unfolding the
ongoing revelation of God on earth and in heaven.

May the Living Word, the Holy Gospel, continue to be spoken on earth and in heaven, and may
the greater Glory of Christ and God be revealed. Amen.

God bless you, and God keep you!

ANGELS, TORAH, AND PRAYER

by TREESE Posted: Tue Jan 29, 2013 3:52 pm

Here we can share an open secret, one hinted at in the Zohar again and again. In the
Zohar we are taught that the study and contemplation of the Torah and Gospel is
greater than prayer. This is naturally very curious, for we might think that prayer is the

I don't question or doubt what you have said about Prayer above, but I DO have a different
perspective on it, if I may share. I believe that even before the formulated thought to pray for the
desire to study Torah can come into our conscious awareness, there must already be within us,
even if only in our subconscious, the "groaning" of the Spirit uttering this desire for us. Then, with
time and spiritual practice, we ourselves, with the help of Grace, learn to become more conscious
even of our own sub-conscious desires and the slightest of interior contrary movements, especially
negative ones that may block, sabotage or contradict our conscious prayer intentions. As the Spirit
reveals more within us, in response to our now more enlightened prayers, we are then able to

realize and understand more of the Scriptures, and to share what we have understood for the
Praise and Glory of God and the good of all beings.

Would you consider that a feasible insight?

Greetings and blessings in the Light of the Messiah!

Absolutely, dear sister, I would agree with your insight. Our entire experience, study and
contemplation, prayer and meditation, and so on, is all interconnected; and all evolves as our
interior life evolves, for it is all the expression of our interior life, and is the inspiration of the
deeper aspects of our soul and the Spirit.

There is an actual process of self-realization or enlightenment in Christ, and as that grows, so

everything else grows and increases.

With regards to insight into internal obstructions, as my tzaddik used to say, "The entire journey is
self-purification." After many years in the journey I've found this to be a simple, but profound truth
- transparency before the Holy Light, or the Spirit of Christ, is everything!

I'm inclined to share that no teaching stands alone, but is meant to be integral with all teachings,
and is interwoven with all teachings; but from one to another, different angles of view and
different mysteries are drawn out.

Study and contemplation, prayer and meditation, sacred ceremony, and such, in my experience it
is difficult to say where one ends and another begins - it is all a continuum of "prayer without
ceasing."

Shalom!

SERAFIEL, THE SONG OF SOLOMON, AND THE TREE OF LIFE

by TREESE Posted: Wed Jan 30, 2013 6:43 am

Each evening, since this Thread on Seraphiel began, I have spent hours in silence and
contemplation with regard to all you have said, Tau Malachi. This morning, the thread which began
as one single strand became a woven garment within my heart. A fruition of sorts, which I'm sure
was, in no small part, due to the Wisdom of your words.

Reviewing and summarizing all that has been said, I feel that the Archangel Seraphiel MUST be
connected to the Deep Wisdom and Empassioned Love we find in the Song of Solomon and the
journey of the soul depicted in the Tale of the Bride's encounters with her Beloved.

Might we discuss a bit how Searphiel speaks to this story of the Empassioned Love between the
Bride and her Beloved?

According to the Christian Kabbalah, would such empassioned Love correspond to Tipharet as wel
as to Netzach and or Gevurah? Am I catching on?

Then, might Seraphiel possibly be one of the Archangels of the transmission of Light most needful
for the healing of the soul passing through the Dark Night the Bride might suffer, when she feels
she has lost her Beloved and must bare the excruciating psychic pain of the feared loss?

I use the term, "bride" not as a male/female term but as the part of us that is receptive, whether
we are male or female.

I shall rest this thread upon this final querry and I can't thank you all enough for your kindness and
patience with my questions and discussion.

Serpent Power, Dark Nights & Serafiel

by Tau Malachi Posted: Wed Jan 30, 2013 10:50 am

Grace and peace to you in Hayyah Yeshua!

In the Holy Kabbalah it is said that often God implants a desire in our soul and then creates
barriers to its fulfillment. God creates the barriers in order to kindle a passionate desire, or
passionate love, and as we long for the fulfillment of the desire, and as the passionate desire is
kindled, and blazes, so we are empowered to overcome the barriers and fulfill our desire, our love.
Serafiel is among the angels of God that may participate in this divine action, but specifically,
Serafiel labors for the uplifting of souls through the purification of desire-energy; hence, the
sublimation and uplifting of the serpent power (seraf).

In Hebrew the word for the serpent in the Garden of Eden is Nechash, and the word for the
anointed is Messiah, and these two words equal 358, which implies that they are manifestations of
one and the same spiritual power. With this in mind perhaps you may recall what Adonai Yeshua
says to Nicodemus in the third chapter of the Gospel of St. John concerning the Messiah, or Son of
the Human One, that the Son of the Human One would be uplifted like the serpent was uplifted by
Moses in the wilderness. This is a reference to a story told in Numbers, chapter 21, where Moses
was told to fashion an image of a “fiery snake” (seraf) in bronze and to put it on a pole uplifted in
the center of the camp of the twelve tribes, so that whoever was bitten by one of these snakes
would not die, but would be healed. Thus, Yeshua joins the idea of the Messiah with the “serpent
uplifted,” and specifically a “fiery serpent” (seraf).

When we receive the Holy Light from above, or truly receive the Holy Spirit, that Holy Light, or
Holy Spirit, awakens this serpent power, or “fire snake,” in us, and the serpent power must be
sublimated, or purified, and uplifted through the interior stars to our brow. When it is uplifted to
the brow, and brought into repose, states of cosmic consciousness are possible, and yet more, the
experience of Supernal or Messianic Consciousness – true Christ Consciousness. The awakening and
uplifting of the serpent power itself is not enlightenment, but it opens the way to enlightenment
and is the force through which the enlightenment experience dawns. Essentially, the serpent
power is desire-energy, and the full spectrum of our desire-energy must be awakened, and
directed inward and upward, Godward; if and when we have a single thought, a single desire, and
that desire is for unification with Christ in God, so we may experience conscious union, Messianic
Consciousness. This corresponds with perfect kavvanah and perfect devekut – unification.

Here we may recall what Adonai Yeshua teaches us, “Let your eye be single and your whole body
will be filled with light.”

There are two forces of the serpent power, the descending and ascending force, and these
correspond with the Groom and Bride, respectively. The descending force is “cool and calming,”
and tempers the ascending force, which is “fiery and volatile.” Serafiel is associated with the
purification uplifting of the ascending force, which is the “serpent power” proper; hence,
associated with the Holy Bride.

The Song of Solomon may be understood on many different levels. In the Kabbalah it is understood
as a courtship between Tiferet and Malkut, or Yahweh and the Community of Israel, and likewise,
it is understood as the courtship between the “Groom and Bride” in us, or the Holy Light from

above and the Serpent Power.

In the development and evolution to Supernal or Messianic Consciousness there are three principle
Dark Nights. The first comes after the dawn of faith and desire for nearness to God, if and when a
soul recognizes that after their initial zeal in their new faith that, in truth, they are not nearer to
God, and as yet have not received the Spirit of God; hence, that they are not on fire with the Holy
Spirit, and have no true passion of the Spirit. In this they will yearn for the true reception of the
Holy Spirit, and seek the Holy Spirit, and as they passionately yearn, so they may receive the Holy
Spirit, if God wills it. Through the reception of the Holy Spirit the serpent power will be awakened,
and so must be sublimated and uplifted, first to the heart and then to the brow, and each of these
movements corresponds with a Dark Night.

It is one thing to enter into states of cosmic consciousness, and it is another to enter into Supernal
or Messianic Consciousness. The second Dark Night transpires before a soul enters into the
realization of cosmic consciousness, and the third Dark Night transpires before a soul enters into
Supernal Consciousness.

These Dark Night are great barriers, klippot, and from one to another they are more difficult to
overcome, and therefore, from one to another fewer souls in a given generation are able to
overcome them. Serafiel is among those angels of God that help souls overcome these barriers, if
and when they abide in faith and love, passionately cleave, and attend a continuum of deep
hitbodedut, secluded prayer and meditation. If we live within, and we learn to pray without
ceasing, through Divine Grace, and through the help of tzaddikim and maggidim, or saints and
angels, so we may pass through these Dark Nights, and experience the full realization or
enlightenment of our soul in Christ – a conscious union with Christ in God (Messiah in El Elyon).

There is nearness and there is union, and there are various gradations of nearness and union; our
experience of nearness or union is all dependent on an ascension or expansion of consciousness in
self-offering, or passionate love.

As we mentioned above, Serafiel is connected with self-offering in the fourth heaven, Zebul, which
is called the “heaven of martyrs,” or those who engage in a full self-offering throughout their life.
This also corresponds with the Holy Bride who makes a complete self-offering to the Lord, and so is
drawn into the most intimate union with him, becoming inseparable from him in God, the True
Light.

As you might imagine, if and when a soul receives the Holy Spirit and the serpent power is uplifted,
that soul will have the “ear of heaven” and their prayers will be very powerful, the prayers of a
healer and wonderworker in union with the Shekinah of the Messiah, the Living Presence. The
witness of the Holy Spirit will be with them, and they will have a capacity for conscious Light
Transmission, or the communication of the Spirit.

This Light Transmission, or communication of the Spirit, is at the very heart of the Gnostic
Apostolic Succession, and an active unification with Christ in God (True Gnosis) is its foundation;
the reception of Light Transmission happens through a passionate desire to receive it – it is all
about passionate faith and devotion, the love of Christ.

If in a generation relatively few embody the Christ-Spirit in full it is because it requires the most
passionate desire, or most passionate love, for enlightenment and unification; and few have such
passion – most are, at best, lukewarm, or significantly distracted.

In general, as I’ve shared above, Gevurah, Netzach and Malkut are the three Sefirot mentioned in
connection with Serafiel; I haven’t seen or heard a correspondence with Tiferet.

Yahweh Shalom!

The most common chant for Serafiel is: Sa-Ra-Yah Serafiel, and the intention of this chant is
purification and dispelling klippot.

Another chant that is often used is: Sha-Ma-Sho Serafiel, and the intention of this chant is the

Shalom to you all on this Feast of Mother and Child,

Since reading this post last weekend in Homosassa Springs, Florida, I have been contemplating a
metaphor of our relationship to the angels inspired by a vacation experience I had with the
Mannatees.

If and when we think of the holy angels of God, or we speak of the holy angels of God, if
done in faith and love we attract them to us and form a connection with them, and in
that very instant they are with us.

Mannatees are "large, fully aquatic, mostly herbivorous marine mammals". There is a mythical
component to these Sea People with their mermaid tails and the curious and affectionate contact
they have with humans. These imaginings were with me throughout the week as I anticipated my
experience with them.

When the day arrived, I joined a six person group. The Captain prepared us for our time and told us
that we should not approach the Mannatees but let them come to us. It was important to observe,
respectfully show our intention to contact, but not overwhelm them with attention.

19/11/2018 Sophian.org • Archangel Serafiel - A Great Fiery One of God

As we trolled the river toward our destination, our anticipation was building as we sighted forms
swimming by us under the water. They were moving from the warm springs that fed the river
upstream for the colder Gulf Coast waters where they could find food.

Upon arriving at the wildlife sanctuary, we descended into into the murky unknown waters with
our wet suits and snorkel masks anticipating contact. Below the surface, I could see sunlight enter
the water and ray out into the space, searching for the dark bottom. Light from Keter striking the
prism of Da'at, dispersing the light into the world wisdom traditions.

Visibility was limited to four feet in front of me, so the possibility of being surprised created some
discomfort. Even the fear that we could not trust these wild beings. Suddenly, a huge murky form
emerged below us. The first sight I caught clearly was its tail: perfectly formed into a large two-
thirds circle connecting to his body. It had a wonderful texture like elephant skin. We pursued it
but it slowly trawled away into the void.

My curiosity was piqued, but I became anxious. Where were the pool of Mannatees I imaged to be
waiting for us? Why couldn't I see better? Why did it take so long for one to appear? I started
working from a deficit. My expectations were creating a struggle with what I was experiencing.

I stuck my head out of the water looking toward the shark-like pool of snorkelers circling. Quickly I
moved toward them and submerged myself. There was another beast! I needed to get a good look
but there were too many people in front of me. I became competitive losing perspective and
separating myself from my experience. I tried to let go of my self-grasping, but the negative
energy in me was strong.

I stopped for a moment and looked at the stream of light from above filling the water. It calmed
and focused me. In a more controlled way I reengaged my search. Our guide on the boat became a
watchperson for our team. She could spot the beings from above. With one call from her, a couple
of us moved to the spot and waited. The creature approached us with big eyes and an intense
focus. It was what we were waiting for! She moved closer and closer. One of my group members
touched her and she responded like a dog, taking in the attention. I reached out and touched her.
She was appreciative. We had contact. Time stopped. There was a unity. It was beautiful. After a
few moments she rolled over and stayed in this up-side-down position waiting to be stroked on her
belly. We attended to her, or was it her to us.

Thank you Tau Malachi for being our guide, helping us become aware and draw close to the divine
through the angels. You nurture anticipation, help us gain perspective and show us there is nothing
fear when it is difficult to see and know.

---

I have a few questions about this thread.

Sister Anna: Is there a chant inviting communion with Seraphiel that Mother would
incline you to share with us?

Tau Malachi: The most common chant for Serafiel is: Sa-Ra-Yah Serafiel, and the
intention of this chant is purification and dispelling klippot.

Are "inviting communion", invoking and contemplating the same thing?

There are so many angels with different purposes, how do you choose which one to draw close to?
Is it a matter of your need or intuition?

Shalom Bevan!

Great story, thanks for sharing it! very inspiring and captivating.

I enjoy that you join this experience with the desire to draw close to the Maggidim. Our interaction
with these Holy Beings is so very magical. What captivates me in your story is a duel perception
regarding our interactions, from one side, perhaps we are experiencing communion more than we
know, and from the other side, perhaps our expectations for communion prevent it. This reminds
me of something Tau Malachi has shared regarding communion with the Holy Bride, "If you cling to
her she will go the other way and if you walk away from her she will pursue you". Your experience
with the Mannatees speaks of this exchange in a profound way. How often do our expectations
block actual experience? How is it we can have one idea when the outcome will be completely
different? This speaks to being and becoming and the exchange of the two, that we have to have a
certain concept entering into an experience, and while in the experience, somehow the concept
needs to shatter, though, in the shattering a new concept will need to be created. This seems to
speak of the interaction between our mental being and our spiritual being.

Our work with the Maggidim must have a certain flexibility. By flexibility I mean putting fourth the
effort and desire to draw close yet from a place that doesn't have vital demand, a place that
remains open as to what the result may be. In seeking communion we must learn a certain
endurance. We must co-create for the experience, put forth and express the desire for
communion. We must learn to entertain and dance this desire, see the awe and beauty and remain
humble at the same time. I think we are communing with these Holy Beings more than we know,
only somehow we have a different idea of what this communion is. Also, do we know it is the state
of our thoughts, our heart, our action that attract such Holy Beings. Reminds of a statement heard
often in the tradition, "if we seek to draw close we must resemble that which we are seeking".

As far as which Holy Being we are drawn to, I have heard it spoken it is good to familiarize yourself
with many, perhaps even spending a bit of time with any who speak to you. In this way, when a
certain situation arises that has a need for a certain Maggid, perhaps the remembrance of this One
will arise in thought and mind. In other words, getting familiar with many expands the tool box of
who may be called upon, who may be communed with. In this practice you will find you have a
certain connection and resonance with certain beings, perhaps you will find a few who really speak
to you, those who you are called to spend much time with. In this practice it seems important to
have fun and be adventurous. Allow time for intimacy to develop, just as meeting a new friend!

These were a few ideas that arose as I read your post, thanks again for sharing such a powerful
experience!

May we remain open yet desire filled in our cleaving to you and your hosts, O Holy One of Being!

Shalom,

Shalom Elder Sarah!

Thank your for drawing out practical contemplations from my story.

I appreciate the sacred tension you mention in regards to 'clinging to' versus 'walking away from'
communion with holy beings. How I need a new way of thinking to transcend, even shatter, as you
say, old expectations so that new ones can uplift my desire for union with the Holy One through
the Maggidim (and Tzaddikim).

Meditation and prayer along with study and contemplation create a wonderful space nurturing the
openness and endurance you speak about. I am finding patience and relationship here. I love that
you mention adventure and fun too because my curiosity and child-like faith seem to swim hand-in-
hand

I have always been intrigued by the story of the boy Samuel "lying down in the temple of the Lord,
where the ark of God was" trying to sleep in 1 Samuel 3.

Eli perceived that the Lord was calling the boy. Therefore Eli said to Samuel, “Go, lie
down; and if he calls you, you shall say, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.’”

Thank your Elder Sarah for helping me be ready for the voices of God.

Speak, Lord, your servant is listening.

May all be uplifted as they listen for the Word and Wisdom!

Bevan.
