The Master of Science in International Business Economics and Management (MIBEM)
is tailor-made for students with a bachelor’s degree in a field other than economics.
This programme offers you a broad perspective on the business domain. You will gain insight
into all major disciplines related to international business economics and management,
including economics, strategic human resources management, marketing, and corporate
finance. The focus is on critical thinking and on problem-based learning in a multicultural
and multidisciplinary environment.
MIBEM is strongly business-oriented, so you will have the chance to interface with the business
world in many ways. For instance, you will be able to attend guest lectures, follow training sessions,
or visit companies. You can even write your master’s thesis as part of a company project.
The MIBEM programme enhances your background knowledge and provides the tools you
need to put theory into practice.
Business seminars
The programme regularly organises business seminars to keep you abreast of the latest
developments in the field. The seminars, held several times a year, are given by prominent
business leaders and have previously included Jos Delbeke (Director-General for Climate
Action, European Commission), Norm Johnston (Global Digital Leader, Mindshare Worldwide)
and Sophie Dutordoir (CEO, Energy Benelux & Germany, Electrabel/GDF Suez).
Personal and professional development
The development of your intercultural management and negotiation skills will prepare you well
for the global job market. You will learn to manage people globally and will develop intercultural
management and negotiation skills. By means of teamwork, you will expand your professional
skills and knowledge in preparation for launching your career. The programme attracts
students from all over the world, adding a valuable intercultural element to your experience.

Tuition fees
The annual tuition fee for the 2016-2017 academic year is € 890 for EEA students and € 1,750
