1. INTRODUCTION

We appreciate your business and your choice of VEER ELECTRONICS products. The installation,
operation, and maintenance liability for this product becomes that of the purchaser at the time of
receipt. Reading the applicable Installation and Operation Manual prior to installation and operation
of this equipment is required for a full understanding of its application and performance prior to use.

2. DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT

VEER ELECTRONICS make Transformer Testing Bench is a designed to simplify the testing of
Transformer. The panel has many functions, which may be used independently or simultaneously;
functions include No Load Test, Load Test (Short Circuit Test), DVDF Test. Each function may
be operated using simple Test selections switches. All controls, instruments, and connections are
panel-mounted for ease of access and viewing.

3. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

[1.] Ground :- Make sure that there must be presence of proper ground in your power supply system.
Properly Ground Test Bench and DVDF Test set.
[2.] Make proper connection as per wiring connection diagrams. Wiring connection diagrams are
given in manual for your kind reference.
[3.] All the wires must be fashioned firmly to the terminals. No loose contact to be kept.
[4.] DVDF test set must lye on perfect Foundation.
[5.] Make sure that any device under test should be equipped with appropriate safety guards as per
relevant specifications.
[6.] Don't turn the Testing Bench on / off instantly. It may be harmful to performance of the test bench.
[7.] Keep clean your Testing Bench and Keep away from Water.
[8.] Use Rubber sole shoes while Testing.
[9.] Only authorised person should operate test bench due to High voltage output.

4. SPECIFICATIONS

The specifications listed in this section are generalized for this equipment. VEER ELECTRONICS
can modify the equipment according to your company's needs. However, please note that the
specifications may vary depending on the customization of your product.

7. INSTALLATION & OPERATIONS

After unpacking the unit, check the equipment for compliance and for any damage that may have
occurred during shipment. Claims for damage caused during shipping must be initiated by the
receiver and directed to the shipping carrier. VEER ELECTRONICS is not responsible for any
damage caused by mishandling by the shipping company.

6.1 OPERATING PROCEDURE FOR TRANSFORMER TESTING BENCH

[1.] First of all connect the input terminals with your Mains Supply cable according to the N, R, Y, B,
to input terminal mounted on bottom side of panel. Also tightly connect Earthing terminal with
local Earthing point.
[2.] Now, Switch ON mains from where you have taken a supply and also switch ON MCB of panel.
[3.] Switch ON the power switch of measuring instrument VPA-60080.
[4.] Now, proper connect the Dimmer N, R, Y, B Input & Output Terminals mounted on the
bottomside of
Panel.
[5.] Now, Rotate the “Change over Switch” to select OS /SC / DVDF / HV Test Connection.

OS/SC TEST
[6.] When you select OC/SC test, Connect your cable according to the N, R, Y, B output terminal of
OC/SC Test mounted on bottom side of panel.
[7.] Now, Push the Start button then give input by 3-Phase variac. You can see voltage, current,
Power, Power factor in 3 - Phase Precision Power Analyzer.

DVDF TEST
[8.] When you select DVDF test, Connect your cable according to the R, Y, B Input terminal and R,
Y, B output terminal of DVDF test mounted on bottom side of panel.
[9.] Then Push Start Button off DVDF Test then start test by pressing Start Button of Test On - Off
and give input by 3-Phase variac You can see output voltage and frequency in VIF meter, If
required frequency does not achieve while testing in that case interchange input excitation line
wires externally. (Please conduct no load trial when first time testing.)

HV METER
[10.] When you select HV test, Connect your cable according to the N, P output terminal of HV test
mounted on bottom side of panel.
[11.] Now, Push the Start button then give input by 3-Phase variac. You can see output voltage and
frequency in VIF meter
8. Settings in VIF meter.

[1.] First of press up and down arrow key both at a time till the display can’t show sys setting in
display. Then release both switch. By pressing these again you can come out from setting.
Press Up arrow key

CT P

Set 200A(Mains Supply) / Set 45A (DVDF) / Set 220A (HV) by Pressing VAF and
Up / Down Arrow switch.

Press Up arrow switch to enter the value.

PT P

Set 433V(Mains Supply) / Set 999V (DVDF) / Set 30KV (HV) by Pressing VAF and
Up / Down Arrow switch.

Press Up arrow switch to enter the value.

PT S

Set 433V(Mains Supply) / Set 433V (DVDF) / Set 230V (HV) by Pressing VAF and
Up / Down Arrow switch.

9. Settings in Timer.

[1.] First press SET + PROG keys together until you can't enter to “MOD” function of timer. Then
Release both keys. If you want to come out from Mode you have to press these two keys again.

Select “Int” by pressing UP arrow key. Press SET switch to move on Next mode.

Time range
Select “999 Sec” by pressing UP arrow key. Press SET switch to move on Next mode

Start
Select “Pulse” by pressing UP arrow key. SET switch to move on Next mode

Front panel reset


Select “No” by pressing UP arrow key. SET switch to move on Next mode

Power on reset
Select “Yes” by pressing UP arrow key. SET switch to move on Next mode

10. Settings in Over Current Relay.

[1.] First of press up and down arrow key both at a time till the display can’t show “CT” setting in
display. Then release both switch. By pressing these again you can come out from setting.

Set 5A (DVDF) / Set 5A (HV) by Pressing O and Up / Down Arrow switch.

Press Up arrow switch to enter the value.

Set 45A(DVDF) / Set 45A (HV) by Pressing O and Up / Down Arrow switch.

Press Up arrow switch to enter the value.

Press O and Up Arrow switch to change the mode.

Press Up arrow key.

OC

Set “ON” by Pressing O and Up / Down Arrow switch.

Press Up arrow switch to enter the value.

Set 13A (DVDF) / Set 13A (HV) by Pressing O and Up / Down Arrow switch.

Press Up arrow switch to enter the value.

Set “OFF” by Pressing O and Up / Down Arrow switch.

Press Up arrow switch to enter the value.

Press O and Up Arrow switch to change the mode.

Press Up arrow Key.

Set 0.2S (DVDF) / Set 0.2S (HV) by Pressing O and Up / Down Arrow switch.

Press Up arrow switch to enter the value.

Set 2S (DVDF) / Set 2S (HV) by Pressing O and Up / Down Arrow switch.

Press Up arrow switch to enter the value.

P.ON

Set 0.2S (DVDF) / Set 0.2S (HV) by Pressing O and Up / Down Arrow switch.

Press Up arrow switch to enter the value.

Press O and Up Arrow switch to change the mode till “PW” in display.

Set “dis” by Pressing O and Up / Down Arrow switch.

Press Up arrow switch to enter the value.

Now come out from Mode by pressing UP and Down Arrow key.
