Reports to the Sr Supervisor, Process Engineering & PSM.

What You Will Do

Work as a technical leader to team members of the Ammonia team
ensuring engineering standards are maintained in own all areas of
responsibility
Identify problems and opportunities in the Unit with the goal of
continuously improving safety, production, efficiency, cost and
environmental performance

Initiate and support the development and design of plant specific Try Premium Free

Search (Capital and MOC) to increase reliability and production with
projects for 1 Month
appropriate risk and economic justification
Support adherence to the 14 elements of our PSM program by
providing guidance and leadership to multiple processes and systems
Lead or participate in process incident investigations as required and
drive resolution to follow-up action items
Provide leadership, support, and ownership in the area of Operational
Risk Management (ORM) by working with Operations, Maintenance,
and Engineering personnel to assess and mitigate risks associated
with operational issues
Support the production accounting process by tracking and reporting
on all production volumes, losses, and monthly production records
Participate in plant start-ups and shut-downs as required
Provide formal leadership and mentorship within the Ammonia team
to other employees when required
Represent RNO within various technical networks relative to process
engineering and ammonia production

What You Will Bring

Chemical engineering degree or other engineering discipline with
10+ years of experience
Registered with APEGA as a professional engineer
Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, problem-solving,
and organizational skills
Knowledge in pressure vessel, piping codes, heat exchangers, pumps,
compressors and safety valves
Ability to lead others and work in an operational team environment
with limited supervision
Experience in the Nitrogen fertilizer production with an emphasis on
ammonia the process is preferred
Experience working with Microsoft Office, SAP and PROII (or other
process simulation software)
