Principal Principal Dean of Students Dear Allendale Families, We hope this letter finds you in good health and staying safe. During this unprecedented time, it is important to reassure our children that things are going to be okay. Itis equally important to maintain the consistency of daily learning, as much as possible. All of the teachers at Allendale Elementary miss their students very much and are working hard from home to make sure that they continue fo provide their students with a variety of learning opportunities from the safety of your home. The plan for academic instruction starting Monday, April 20, 2020 and continuing until the end of the school year will be as follows: Academic packets will be broken into two distribution cycles, April 20th - May 15th & May 18th - June 16th. ‘+ The first cycle of grade level academic packets will be available in grade level bins outside the front doors of Allendale Elementary School and on the school website https://drive.qooale. com/drive/folders/1t6-10E99XqRExnD9kibG7OWSbardX-AX starting on Monday, April 20, 2020. On Monday, May 18, 2020 the second cycle of academic packets will be made available. + Parents are asked to take pictures of their students’ work and send them through Ciass DOJO to their child's teacher every Friday.-For those students that do not have Class DOJO, there will be bins for completed work to be placed in at the front doors of Allendale Elementary School. Please make sure your child’s name and teacher's name are clearly marked on the pages of the packets left in the bins. + Students that receive Special Education, Bilingual and LLI services will have their packets mailed to them. + Teachers will record the work in their gradebooks and provide feedback to their students through DOJO. Teachers will have office hours on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. every week and will be available through email and DOJO for questions, comments and concerns. Staff are available outside of their office hours, there just may be a delay in their response. + All work turned in will be accounted for in the teacher's gradebooks and will be represented on the final report card mailed home in June. «Ifyou or your child need assistance with any of the academic work, please immediately reach out to your child’s teacher.
