In exercise ofthe powers conferred under section 23 ofthe Punjab Cont Servants Act, 1974 (VIIT of 1974, Governor of the Punjab i pleased to direct that ia the PMS (Probationers) Training, Final Passing Out Examination and Seniority Rules 2012, the folowing amendments shall be made: AMENDMENTS: In the PMS (Probationers) Training, Final Passing Out Examination and Seniority Rules 2012: Q) Innes: (2) in subrule (1), in clause (b), for the words “one month”, the words “three months" shall be substituted; and (b) for the existing sub-rule (2), the following sill be substitut (2) After the attachments mentioned in sub-rule (1), the probationer shall submit separate reports in the training institution about his iearning in the field as well as in the Secretariat.” (© Inrule &: (2) for sub-rule (1), the following shall be substituted: “(1)_A_ probationer snail be eligible to appear In four successive examinations in five years of his appointment beginning trom the ‘examination to be held immediatly after completion of his training from Management and Professional Development Department,"; and (0) for sub-rule (2), the folowing shall be substituted: "(2) A probationer who fails to qualify in four successive attempts as provided under sub-rule (1) shall not be eligible to appear in a subsequent examination. Provided that the Chief Secretary may on the recommendations of the ‘Additional Chief Secretary, Punjab, allow a probationer one addtional Chance to appear in the subsequent examination"; and (©) ater sub-rule (4), the following sub-rule (5) shal be inserted: “(S) __A probationer who has exhausted all three chances under the rules before coming into force of these amendments shall be allowed conly one more chance to appear in the departmental examination within cone year. Provided that the Chief Secretary may, on the recommendations of the ‘Additional Chief Secretary, Punjab, allow such a probationer one ‘edditional chance to appear in the subsequent examination.” DR.
