The Asia-Pacific Youth Exchange (APYE) is a regional youth program, which

responds to the global need of actively engaging youth in localised
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) initiatives. By working with multiple
stakeholders in local communities and in decision-making processes,
selected youth delegates are given a unique opportunity to learn and hone
the skills necessary to participate in SDGs-related activities. APYE has three
main components:

Leadership Development Local Asia Pacific Youth

Training Immersion Symposium

With the success of our previous APYE Programs held in Philippines,

Thailand and Korea from 2016 to 2019, APYE in Thailand is so excited to
come back from 6 – 18 January 2020 in the collaboration with United
Nations Inter Agency Network on Youth and several other partners. APYE
Thailand January 2020 expects to welcome more than 150 delegates from
30 Asia-Pacific countries.
For more information, please visit our Website www.apyethailand.org or
follow our Facebook page at Asia Pacific Youth Exchange - Thailand.

Over the past decade, there has been a growing recognition of the
youth’s participation in economic, social and political processes.
Governments, international agencies, civil society and private sector
organisations have realised that young people are powerful agents
of change who, if supported and empowered, can drive the
achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

The youth sector’s immense potential is especially critical for the

Asia-Pacific where 754 million young people reside – making it the
most youthful region in the world. The Asian Development Bank
(ADB) has identified demographic changes in Asia as one of the key
factors that would shape regional development in its long-term
strategic framework, Strategy 2020 .

"APYE was not just an experience but rather a beginning
to journey of new learnings for me. The faith that this
platform puts in the youth led initiative to bring sustainable
development in our communities is remarkable. Not only
did it give me the courage to face the challenges around
us but also introduced me to network of amazing people.
Getting to see from the eyes of this diverse group of
people definitely broadened my horizon. All in all it was an
overwhelming experience."

Joining APYE gave me so much memories and
experiences that I treasure and would proudly look back
years from now.
It inspired me to pursue a purpose greater than myself.
This program strikes a perfect balance of learning,
engaging, growing, and living in the moment. APYE is
not just a two-week journey, it has and will always serve
as a home and a family to people like me who are willing
to change the world, one goal at a time.

“Without a doubt APYE was totally a birthplace for a
sustainable perspectives realisation. It presented confidently
the goals of UN, and passionately injected them into
delegate’s heart. AYPE brought the great potential out from
my within and to those who have been very cynical toward it,
you will be taken aback by how much the program change you
throughout the journey”.
