(A) ALTERNATIVE # 1.

Minimize cost and ignore non-cost goals.

The proponent intends to find the least cost with the use of Assignment Model
Approach on an Unbalanced Assignment Problem. The idea is to find the least
opportunity cost on a principle of matrix reduction. Thus:

Cost of each Person-Client Assignment

Project Client
Manager Hines Corp NASA General Foundry CBT Television
Gardener 3,200 3,000 2,800 2,900
Ruth 2,700 3,200 3,000 3,100
Hardgraves 1,900 2,100 3,300 2,100

Ruth 2,700-2,700 = 0 3,200-2,700 = 500 3,000-2,700 = 300 3,100-2,700 = 400

FINAL ASSIGNMENT
Ruth is assigned to Hines Corp $ 2,700
Hardgraves is assigned to NASA 2,100
Gardener is assigned to General Foundry 2,800
Nobody can be assigned to CBT Television 0
TOTAL COST $ 7,600

If the non-cost goals of John Schank can be ignored, he can assign project managers to Hines
Corp., NASA and General Foundry at the cost of $ 7,600

(B) ALTERNATIVE # 2.

Meet and satisfy the all of the following objectives: (1) Serve NASA; (2) Not to assign Gardener
to CBT Television; (3) Assign project manager immediately to Hines Corporation; (4) Give Ruth a
salary of at least $ 3,000, and (5) minimize costs

(sa tinuod lang, galisod ko aning Alternative # 2. I still have to study Integer, Goal and Non-Linear
Programming before I can attempt to answer this.)

(is there a need to have a WAC here?)(if yes, I can only do it after I have dealt with alternative # 2)

Basin pwede ma request si sir nga ma-extend ang deadline kay sige ug down ang PLDT diri sa Toril
