Fidel V Ramos
Fidel Ramos was born in Lingayen, Pangasinan on March 18, 1928 to former Foreign Affairs
Secretary Narciso Ramos and Angela Valdez. He graduated valedictorian from elementary
school, and attended the UP High School, before enrolling in the Philippine Military Academy
(PMA) where he earned a scholarship to the US Military Academy in West Point. While in the
In 1952, he joined the Philippine Army and became part of the Philippine Expeditionary Force in
1952 during the Korean War. In the 1960s, he was Chief of Staff of the Philippine Civil Action
Group in Vietnam. From there, he quickly rose from the ranks to head the Philippine
Constabulary, and later on, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.
He then helped former President Corazon Aquino overcome the seven coup attempts led by now
Senator Gregorio Honasan. In 1992, Aquino anointed her as her candidate for the presidential
elections.
Based on our survey the administration of Fidel V. Ramos was great by that time. We have
interview some of the people that experience the term of Ramos. One answer is remain in our
mind, by the time of Ramos his presidency was good for them. And this is some of Ramos
newly industrialized country in the world . this is the vision of Ramos in the Philippines by the
year 2000:

Under the form of President Fidel V. Ramos educational reforms rushed to completion. August
25,1994 Ramos signed into law of various bills on education. This law was designed to improve
the quality of Philippine education.During his speech that was held in Malacanang Ramos say:
“Today, we break new ground, and aim for higher goals in the Filipino’s continuing search
for means by which to win the future. We stand at the frontier of major and far-reaching
causes by the lack of quality education. Ahead beckons a horizon of hope and opportunity for

He emphasized that this is the task of education which, is the right of every citizen to receive,
and the responsibility of government to provide. we must step up our efforts to improve the
quality of education.
At the basic level, we see a need to strengthen the teaching of English, science and mathematics.
We also recognize the importance of promoting basic Filipino values such as love of country,
pride in being a Filipino, honesty, civic consciousness and respect for law and order, among
others.
Following these principles, and in all our schools today, we must prepare young Filipinos and
students to be responsible, productive and enlightened citizens of a much higher quality than

will be true not only in Metro Manila, but also and especially in the countryside and our far-flung
regions.
As his vision in 2000 approaches, we will need to be more competitive in science and
