LOO QUE HICE ANOCHE

Blog entry:
I had a fun time last night. Before dinner, I invited a friend over and we played video games for
an hour or so.
We had take-out pizza for dinner, and then after dinner, we watched my favorite old movie. It's
a great movie.
I practiced my guitar before bed. I have guitar lessons once a week, so I have to practice every
day.

I didn't do anything special last night. I tried to study for a test, but I got tired, so I cooked
dinner. Actually, I didn't really cook a big meal. I just cooked some eggs. Then I called my
friend and we chatted for half an hour. So, I didn't cook, clean the house, or do my homework. I
just watched a couple of TV shows in bed – at 8 p.m.!

me divertí mucho. Antes de la cena, invité a un amigo y jugamos videojuegos durante una
hora más o menos.
Cenamos pizza para llevar y, después de cenar, vimos mi película antigua favorita. Es una
gran película.
Practiqué mi guitarra antes de acostarme. Tengo lecciones de guitarra una vez a la semana,
así que tengo que practicar todos los días.

No hice nada especial anoche. Traté de estudiar para un examen, pero me cansé, así que
preparé la cena. En realidad, no cociné una gran comida. Solo cociné unos huevos. Luego
llamé a mi amigo y charlamos durante media hora. Entonces, no cociné, no limpié la casa ni
hice mi tarea. Acabo de ver un par de programas de televisión en la cama, ¡a las 8 pm!

I had a very busy week, last week. I went to classes every day, and I had homework almost
every evening, so I had to read and study a lot. On Friday, I cooked dinner with my friends. We
made some Spanish tapas. We had a great time. On the weekend, I went to my brother's
house-warming party. I had to buy a gift so I spent all day Saturday at the mall. I didn't find
anything, so I didn't buy anything. Luckily, he didn't mind!

I had a good week, last week. I didn't have a lot of homework so I saw a movie with my friends
on Tuesday.
I had a lunch with my mom on Friday, and then we went shopping. She had a day off work. We
chatted over lunch, and planned my dad's surprise birthday party.

casi todas las noches, así que tenía que leer y estudiar mucho. El viernes preparé la cena con
mis amigos. Hicimos unas tapas españolas . Nos lo pasamos muy bien. El fin de semana fui a
la fiesta de inauguración de la casa de mi hermano. Tuve que comprar un regalo, así que pasé
todo el sábado en el centro comercial. No encontré nada, así que no compré
nada. ¡Afortunadamente, no le importó!

I had an interesting day last Saturday. I met my friend at the mall, and we went to the
electronics store. I bought some things for my computer, and then we went to a local bike
shop. My friend got some parts for a motorbike. He's building his own bike. After we finished
our shopping, we ate lunch at a local noodle shop. Then we went back to his house, and we
worked on his motorbike. Then we cleaned up before the big baseball game on TV. My team
won!

I had a really interesting day with my dad recently. We went online and found out about our
family history. Before my great-grandfather got married, he lived in Hong Kong. He worked at a
big company there. After he met my great-grandmother, they got married and moved to the
U.S.A. When they moved here, they started their own business.  I didn't know anything about
my family history before that day.

a la tienda de electrónica. Compré algunas cosas para mi computadora y luego fuimos a una
tienda de bicicletas local. Mi amigo compró algunas piezas para una motocicleta. Está
construyendo su propia bicicleta. Después de terminar nuestras compras, almorzamos en una
tienda de fideos local. Luego volvimos a su casa y trabajamos en su moto. Luego limpiamos

Recuerdo mi último cumpleaños. Me levanté tarde. Luego llamé a un amigo de mi

clase. Antes de ir a clase, tomamos un "desayuno de cumpleaños" en un café. Cuando
llegamos a clase, hicimos un examen. (¡Oh, no, me olvidé de la prueba!). Después de la
prueba, fui a un café diferente y tuve un gran "almuerzo de cumpleaños". :-) Mis amigos
pagaron. Después de almorzar, mi amigo y yo fuimos de compras. Compré unos zapatos
nuevos. Entonces fui a casa. Cuando llegué a casa, mi hermana me llamó y me invitó a su
casa para una "cena de cumpleaños". ¡Tuve un gran cumpleaños! ¡Ah, y pasé la prueba!

I remember my last birthday. I got up late. Then I called a friend in my class. Before we
went to class, we had a "birthday breakfast" in a café. When we got to class, we took a test.
(Oh no I forgot about the test!). After the test, I went to a different café and had a big
"birthday lunch". :-)    My friends paid. After we had lunch, my friend and I went shopping.
I bought some new shoes. Then I went home. When I got home, my sister called and
invited me to her house for a "birthday dinner". I had a great birthday! Oh, and I passed the
test!
