ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT ON “SA PAG-AARAL MO, KAAGAPAY AKO”

AN ADOPT A STUDENT PROJECT

Right after the approval of this project, the advisers are advised to inform their identified
students as well as their parents. A meeting was called to inform the parents or guardians about
the project, specifically its scope and limitations. It was reiterated that in case there would be
sponsors they would not be allowed to directly contact them, instead communication is only
possible with the respective adviser. This is to protect the sponsors in preserving their sincere
desire to be of help and their privacy.

Most of the sponsors preferred to give in kind such as school supplies, tumblers,
umbrellas and bags and uniforms. Generated gifts were kept first in one safe place while waiting
for the others before its scheduled awarding. There are advisers who preferred to be their
students’ sponsor. God bless their generosity. And when all the sponsors were ready for their
items, awarding was scheduled on August 10, 2017 Friday at 2:00 to 4:00 P.M.
 There was a short program from the singing of the national anthem, invocation, opening
remarks explaining the purpose of the program. Intermission numbers: a song and a modern
dance prepared by the adopted students were presented. It was followed by a short message by
the school head Edesa T. Balmeo. After the short program, awarding of the packs of gifts to
adopted students followed.

Smiles of happiness were seen among the faces of the students and so as with the advisers
and sponsors. A smile of hope that this little endeavor may serve its objectives of somehow
reaching out these underprivileged students’ material needs in sustaining their studies. A smile of
fulfillment for all the sponsors who once again proved that it is better to give than to receive and
there is authentic joy in giving.
