PicknPack invites you to a

demonstration workshop with a guided


tour and demonstrations

DEMONSTRATION This demonstrator workshop will focus on the research


outputs of a four year, EC. FW7 programme on state of the
art developments in aspects of automated adaptive
packaging of fresh and processed food products.

The workshop will be organised around a working


production line demonstrator, which will illustrate aspects
of the innovative technology developed. This demonstrator
will be supported by a range of specialist technology
booths, each of which will focus on specific aspects, such
as robotics, instrumentation, wireless communication, data
architectures and system control and RFID procedures for
product traceability.

Why visit?
The event is aimed at providing an overview of the latest
technical developments in the field and showcases the
outputs in a working production line demonstrator. It will
be an opportunity to discover new ideas and solutions,
listen to ‘in depth’ talks on key topics and gain from the
personal experience of the engineers involved in the
project.
Who should attend?
The workshop will be of interest to food manufacturers and
their equipment providers, who wish to be informed of
some of the latest technical developments and their
possible impact on’ food factory of the future ‘concepts. It
will also be of interest to other researchers in the field,
who will have an opportunity to discuss synergetic
activities that will lead to future co-operative work to
