A LONG-LIFE, LOW-ASH OIL FOR STATIONARY GAS

ENGINES
Shell Mysella XL is Shell’s high-performance, long-life gas-engine oil. This
top-tier product combines an extremely long oil life with excellent engine
protection, which can provide cost savings through reduced oil use and
extended maintenance intervals.
It is suitable in engine types and compressor sets where a low-ash oil is
required, and its advanced formulation provides excellent cleanliness and
protection.

DESIGNED TO PROTECT
Shell Mysella XL is designed to provide superior deposit control, even in engines with very high piston temperatures, and excellent ring belt
cleanliness and cylinder liner protection. After 22,000 hours of operation in a DEUTZ TCG 2020 V20 engine, Shell Mysella XL helped
to provide
n minimal ash deposits n a clean top land and ring grooves.

Shell Mysella XL has set a new Shell benchmark for oil life in modern, high-efficiency gas engines and has been categorised as a premium
and long-drain interval oil by several engine manufacturers. By resisting oxidation and nitration, it offers
n significantly longer oil life in high-speed gas engines
compared with a standard-grade oil.

DESIGNED FOR HIGH EFFICIENCY

Shell Mysella XL is designed to help prevent knocking to thereby enable engines to be run at full load and optimum efficiency. Its very good
viscosity control helps to minimise engine friction losses. It also helps provide excellent cleanliness for the heat recovery boilers, turbochargers
and intercoolers, thus enhancing energy efficiency. It is available in SAE30 grade for reduced friction and higher fuel efficiency.
