The following annexure form the part of our offer.
Note:-
Please note that any change in raw water characteristics will affect treated water quality /
quantity. The data marked by * are not furnished by you hence assumed by us. Please also note
that the feed water to the Water Treatment Plant shall be filtered water and shall be within the
specified norms with respect to these parameters.
Capacity Calculation:
Name Quantity Unit

TREATMENT SCHEME
Note: - The above values are achieved provided the raw water quality mentioned in our technical
scope remains unaltered. In case of any change in raw water quality, there will be corresponding
change in treated water quality.
Please Note:
1. Treatment scheme is designed on the basis of given inlet parameters and hence any
change or variation in the inlet parameters of water shall have implications on the outlet
quality of water where offer stands subjected for revision and may have both technical &
commercial change implications.
2. Also, any change in Pollution Control Board Norms between the ordering phase and
execution phase will lead to technical and commercial change in the given offer.
3. As per the tender specification, we will not confirming to match the IS: 10500 norms as
the scheme is provided is nowhere matching relevant to norms. We will warranty the
parameter which is specified in the above. If anything especially chemical parameter
warranty required from clients end, then the specific parameter is to be mention by client
individually. Accordingly the schemes, Flow as well as the pricing of the entire equipment
will be change.
In case any deviation in the design parameter as mention above or the water quality will
deviate as per the specify norms of inlet unit, in which case this Techno - Commercial offer
would stand to be revised, as deemed corrected by us.
D. PROCESS DESCRIPTION
Iron Removal Filter:-
In ground water or bore well water presence of Iron and manganese has always been a matter of
concern. Presence of these elements in water does not pose a risk to human health but it can
cause unpleasing taste, odour and staining, which is not accepted in most of applications in
domestic use as well as commercial and industrial use; therefore, oxidation filtration often knows
as iron removal process employed to remove naturally occurring iron and manganese from
water. For these iron and manganese removal process an Iron Removal Filter is utilized.
The Process through which iron is removed from water is known as Oxidation Filtration that
involves the oxidation of the soluble forms of iron (Fe) and manganese (Mn) to their soluble
forms and then removal by filtration. Manganese usually known as oxidant. The oxidant
chemically oxidizes the iron and manganese (forming a particle), and kills iron bacteria and any
other disease-causing bacteria that may be present after that the filter removes the iron and
manganese particles.
Most activated carbons are made from raw materials such as nutshells, wood, coal and
petroleum. The two principal mechanisms by which activated carbon removes contaminants
from water are adsorption and catalytic reduction. Organics are removed by adsorption and
residual disinfectants are removed by catalytic reduction. This unit works on the phenomenon of
surface filtration. The unit offered consists essentially of a mild steel pressure vessel. It is
externally fitted with necessary pipe work, valves, pressure gauges, and sampling points at the
inlet and outlet.
The filtration bed consists of fine sand as well as Activated Carbon media of specified size over a
layer of gravels. Water flows downwards through the filter bed and the suspended solids are
retained on the Activated Carbon. The filtered water is evenly collected by header lateral type
bottom collecting system.
At a pre-determined pressure drop the backwash of filter is initiated to clean the filter bed. The
backwash water at specific flow rate is pumped through the filter bed in upward direction to
facilitate expansion of the filter bed. The particles are kept in suspension and are washed and
dirty water is sent to drain from the upper side of the vessel.
Once the backwash cycle is completed, filter is taken online for service after a final rinse
with service flow rate.
