Transaction Integrity
Get all the transaction reliability and integrity advantages of MQSeries and CICS from your Domino applications
by running mission-critical applications and accessing data within the context of the business rules in today's high-
volume production and legacy systems. These transaction system connections allow access to more than 25
different platforms via MQSeries, and provide access to the CICS and IMS families of transaction monitors. Also
benefit from application location transparency, time-independent processing, and commuication through queues.
Enable your web applications with the proven “matter-of-fact” security that the IBM MQSeries affords to 90% of
all Bank ATM financial messaging transactions.

Specifics about the MQSeries Enterprise Integrator include:

• Easy Interface: Faster host system and mainframe integration deployment are achieved
using this Rapid Application Development middleware tool. A set of classes that provides a
Notes programmer with a simple interface to communicate with enterprise applications.
These classes provide a common set of verbs, hiding details of any transaction management
system being used by the enterprise application.
• Native Access: Simplified integration tasks are performed through an optimized
connection with built-in capabilities to access unmodified enterprise applications running
under CICS and IMS, as well as MQSeries enabled applications on other enterprise server
platforms. This includes CICS Dynamic Program Link (DPL) programs plus CICS and IMS
3270 transactions.
• Enhanced message building facilities: Beyond the secure, one time delivery of a financial
transaction message that this integration technology provides. Notes programmers can build
and interpret messages by reading and writing named fields within the message, without
having to know precise details of the message format.
• Configuration Notes database: Simplifies LotusScript programs even further by providing
a repository of message format and enterprise application definitions.

• Seamless Security: Integration of the Identification and Authentication services of Lotus

Domino with the access controls provided by CICS, IMS and MQSeries, providing a secure,
seamless sign-on capability to you enterprise systems.

MQSeries and CICS Connections for Domino is an enterprise integration product which delivers connectivity
between the Lotus Domino Web Server, any web browser or Lotus Notes Client and transaction systems and links
such as MQSeries, CICS, and IMS.
MQSeries and CICS Connections for Domino uses standards based LotusScript extensions (LSXs), such as the
MQSeries Enterprise Integrator (MQEI) and MQSeries LotusScript Extension (MQLSX), to allow the Domino
application developer to create applications that provide seamless access to numerous existing host system,
mainframe and 3270 terminal-session based systems.
Because MQSeries and CICS Connections for Domino uses LSX’s, it may also be used from the Lotus SmartSuite
