Dear Fr. Roy;

Greetings in peace.

We, the core group of the Vicariate of Espiritu Santo in Archdiocese of Manila is planning to hold
an online activity regarding the understanding of current events especially Covid pandemic in the
context of spirituality. This will be a 2-day online seminar among the youth of the vicariate and
will be opened to all the youth of the Archdiocese of Manila. The title of the said online-seminar
will be “Let Go, Let God: Embracing the New Normal Among the Youth.” The seminar will be
on June 6 and 7, 2020 at 2PM via Facebook live and Zoom. The objectives of the seminar are as
follows:
1. To bring understanding about the Church’s view about the pandemic in terms of the will
of God and the positive effects that it brought to the Church as a whole.
2. To allow the youth to speak out their anxieties about the pandemic and hopefully address
them through dialogue with the priests and their co-youth servers.
3. To discuss and give an overview about how the Church will be as she now embraces the
New Normal.
4. To serve as one of the activities of the Vicariate Youth Ministry- uniting the young
people of the Vicariate with commitment and love of service to the Lord.
5. To use Social Media as a new and effective means of evangelization among the youth
of the vicariate.

In line with this, we would like to invite you to be one of the panels that will give personal
reflections regarding the talk that will be rendered by Rev. Fr. Carmelo “Jek” Arada on the 2nd day
of the seminar, June 7, 2020. The topic that will be discussed by Fr. Jek is about “How the Church
will be: Embracing the New Normal” After his 30 to 45-minute talk, you and the 2 other priests
will be asked to give reflections regarding his talk. Each priest will be allotted 5 minutes to render
his reflection. We will be utilizing Zoom application for the said segment and will still be streamed
via FB live. Question and answer will proceed after the reflections. During the entire online
program, the participants will be allowed to post their questions at the comment box of the FB live.
The questions will be filtered by one of the vicariate youth officer and will then be asked to the 3
invited priests, still via Zoom.
The whole program will be streamed through FB live of the Vicariate Youth Ministry page and
will be cross-posted to all the facebook page of every Parish Youth Ministry under the vicariate.
We will also be asking the Archdiocesan Youth Ministry to cross-post the said live seminar on
their facebook page for it to be available to all of the youth of the archdiocese.
