Write Essay Here Topic: My Favourite South Korean Person

My favourite South Korean person is Mr Ban Ki-Moon. He is my idol. He is a living

statue of determination, boldness and powerful thoughts. It is difficult to believe that
a person can endure so much pain. He rose from a poor family nevertheless as a
spark and we all know where his fire has driven him to. Tough and bold decisions
making diplomats and politicians are the need of the hour and Sir Ban Ki-Moon has
been one such. It’s one in a million times that one does know Ban Ki-Moon. His
tenure as the Secretary-General has been inspiring. Sir Moon worked tirelessly for
the needy and global matters. Just like in the case of Syria and Paris. When it
comes to the plight of the people, he does not allow any compensation. The Forbes
list of World's Most Powerful in 2013 named Moon world's 32nd most powerful
person and the highest in South Koreans. Consequently, in 2014, he was named
the third most powerful South Korean. My ideal is humane, dignified, rational,
principled, wise, experienced and strong. Moreover, he has a strong sense of
judgement and moral good which helps him to address the issues he faces as a
leader. All of his wonderful qualities make him my favourite. Moon did not run for
the South Korean elections in 2017 but if he would have; he could have given good
competition to other candidates. An interesting fact is that Mr. Moon won an essay
writing competition in 1962 sponsored by the Red Cross Society. He earned a trip
to the United States and even met late John. F. Kennedy there. I am on my idol’s
footsteps!
