ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR

PART-TIME WATERTOWN CITY COURT POSITION

The City is soliciting applicants for the vacant part-time City Court Judge position, which has
recently been established by the State Legislature to serve at 1/4 of a full-time judgeship.

Interested persons must:

Be a State and City resident; and

Be an attorney admitted to practice in the State for a minimum of ten (10) years.

Appointment to the position is by the City Mayor, with the advice and consent of City
Council, and is for a term of five (5) or six (6) years.

Qualified applicants are asked to submit a resumé and accompanying letter of interest to the
address shown below by the end of business on Friday, January 8, 2021.

If selected, the appointment is scheduled to be approved at the City Council meeting to be

held on January 18, 2021, with swearing-in immediately thereafter.
