REB ITEM: L-6 Through t-14 PUBLICATION 421-2017 BANGLADESH RURAL ELECTRIFICATION BOARD (BREB) PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF BANGLADESH STANDARD FOR LED STREET LIGHTING EQUIPMENT SCOPE This standard establishes the physical and performance requirements for LED street lighting equipment to be used on BREB overhead distribution lines. 2. GENERAL Street lighting equipment furnished to BREB specification shall conform in all respects to the physical and performance requirements of this standard. The text, figures, and reference to other standards supplement each other and are considered part of this standard. 3. REFERENCE DATA BREB luminaire package (BREB Ttem L-6) shall consist of a die-cast aluminum head within a maximum 80 Watts SMD LED consist of driver, heat radiator, Aluminum housing, 1%" pipe bracket mounting, mogul multiple heavy duty porcelain socket, one reflector and refractor assembly consisting of @ drawn aluminum reflector with stainless steel latches, refractor assembly of one piece, type five design, acrylic plastic (Shown in the indicative drawing) Which is capable to illuminate minimum 8000 lumen with power factor minimum 0.95, Nominal Input of the light will be single phase, two wire, 230V, SOHZ and should be able to ‘operate from 165V to 250V without any deviation in brightness. The Light assembly must be of P65 rating and all exposed materials should be weather and rust proof. One single pole switch(MCB) as required, one 1%" diameter by 30° long aluminum pipe bracket, Bracket shall be mounted with bolts and 2 lag screws and one package of wooden/galvanized steel/SPC pole mounting hardware, All fittings and fixture accessories should be provided. BREB Item L-7 shall be 2 one piece, type five, acrylic plastic replacement refractor for luminaire described above in BREB Item L-6, BREB Item L-8 maximum 80-Watts, 230 Volt, LED lamp to be used for replacement Luminaire for BREB Item L-6. These MCB as accessories will be from USA, Europe or Japan origin. BREB street lighting equipment shall meet the requirements of ANSI C136.6-1984, ANSI C136.10-1979, ANSI C78.377-2008 and ANSI C136.13-1979. Catalog of the LED should be provided along with the bid document. 4, INSPECTION ‘The Manufacturer shall perform the necessary inspection and tests to determine if the street lighting equipment complies with the specification and the related standard. Non-conforming of any parameter of street lighting equipment is unacceptable. BREB reserves the right to witness factory tests and shall request test reports. During Pre shipment the BREB inspection team will perform all the routine tests at manufacturer premises (at least two members nominated by BREB), Possible all the routine tests should be perform during post fanding inspection, 5. OTHER STANDARDS. ‘The physical and performance requirements of street lighting equipment based on other international recognized standards, is acceptable only if the requirements of such standards are equivalent to or exceed the requirements quoted in this document. 7.
