Update on the Perpetual Rosary Movement (PRM)

The Mission of the PRM is to have the Rosary prayed perpetually 24/7 at every time and clime,
such that at any moment someone somewhere is praying the Rosary in a continuous moment of
prayer offered to God through Mama Mary. PRM’s prayer intention is for world peace and
reconciliation, justice, human development, the integrity of creation, and for the particular
intentions of its members.

In pursuit of the above, PRM initially set up a website to post its activities, programs and
operations. Featured here were the Marian prayer gatherings, prayer intentions both petitioned
for and granted, and time schedule for praying the Rosary by its membership, among others.

Starting 2010, PRM held major prayer activities on the 13 th of each month, to coincide with the
Lourdes’ apparitions. These consisted of the celebration of the Mass at the Shrine of the Divine
Word and the Grotto of the Annunciation, and Rosary praying and procession in the forested
compound of Christ the King Mission Seminary in Quezon City. Its biggest event was the Marikit
na Ina Celebration held on the Marikina Riverside open air amphitheater on Dec. 7, 2010 on the
Eve of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. The Mass and Rosary was held on a barge
anchored on Marikina River shipside to the amphitheater attended by a huge crowd of thousands.

On 2015, PRM opened a Facebook Account to more or less replace its website to address a
bigger audience worldwide. Currently this FB Account has around 5,000 members, and serves
the same purpose as the website. Membership is open to anyone who commits to pray the
Rosary preferably at a fixed time, or at any time the member chooses.

PRM also started the Rosary Chaplet Prayer in conjunction with the XVD Association for the
deceased members of the XVD Community (XVD stands for former students and/or alumni of
SVD-run seminaries who studied in these seminaries with the intention of becoming an SVD
missionary, but who had left the seminary and/or the SVD. Members of the XVD Community are
the XVD’s, their spouses, children and parents, and brothers and sisters). PRM has conducted
this Rosary Chaplet Prayer for around 150 of its deceased members so far. In these pandemic
times, it continues to be conduced by ZOOM to a limited extent.

Another activity of the PRM also in conjunction with the XVD Association was the First Saturday
Marian Celebrations held every First Saturday of the month at the Crypt Chapel of Christ the King
Mission Seminary. This consisted of the Rosary Prayer, Holy Mass and get-together dinner after
the Mass.

PRM celebrates the Feastday of St. Joseph by a Rosary Prayer and Holy Mass every March 19 th,
at St. Joseph’s Corner in Christ the King Seminary compound in Quezon City.

At the suggestion of its Spiritual Director, Fr. Jerry Orbos, SVD, PRM started to pray the Rosary
before the 6:00PM Mass at the Shrine of the Divine Word every Tuesday, Thursday and
Saturday. This was discontinued at the start of the COVID Pandemic.

To replace this Rosary activity, PRM is now praying the Rosary by ZOOM at 8:00 PM everyday,
except Sunday. This daily ZOOM Rosary is recorded and replayed in the FB Accounts of some of
its members for later viewing and participation. It includes prayer intentions for the Birthday and
Wedding Anniversaries of XVD’s, prayer petitions for the recently deceased, petitions for healing
from COVID, cancer and other grievous afflictions, petitions for personal intentions, putting a stop
the COVID Pandemic, and thanksgiving for petitions granted.

The ZOOM Rosary is also prayed regularly at the Levina Place Condominium in Pasig City, and
the San Francisco Gardens Condominium in Mandaluyong City.

The COVID Pandemic has put a stop to in-person activities of the PRM. But it continues in its
Mission to have the Rosary prayed at every time and clime by electronic media, so that it can be
said that perhaps at anytime anywhere someone is continuing the perpetual chain of Rosaries
offered to God thru Mama Mary…
