With an aim to promote the practice of planting trees in the state ‘Pyaar ka
Paudha* drive under the Jal Jeevan Hariyali campaign has been launched by
Bihar.
The state Government of Bihar’s Department of Environment and Forest in Patna has
launched “Pyaar ka Paudha’ campaign. As a part of this imitative, the environment
department has appealed to the people to gift the plant of love to their close ones as it will
be alive for years & also stalls of Patna plants have been planted for this purpose. if this
experiment is successful, it will be implemented in other areas of the state as well.

Facebook launched “We Think Digital” Programme to provide digital literacy training to 1 lakh
women across 7 states, including Uttar Pradesh (UP),West Bengal & Bihar.It has been
launched in partnership with National Commission for Women (NCW) and Cyber Peace
Foundation.
Bihar to get its first bird ringing station
Bihar is set to become north India's first "bird ringing station" for observation, monitoring and
research on migratory birds, fourth state in the country after Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan and
Orissa.
The fourth would be in Bihar’s Bhgalapur, which is one of three known breeding places apart
from Cambodia and Assam
‘About MoU
‘The (MoU) was exchanged between Bihar government, department of environment, forest &
climate changes with Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS).The MoU was signed on the
occasion of CMS-COP13 (Conservation of Migratory species- conference of parties) or the
13th Conservation of Migratory Species- Conference of Parties held at Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
Facebook launches digital literacy programme for women in UP
Facebook has launched it's We Think Digital’ programme here in partnership with the
National Commission for Women (NCW) and Cyber Peace Foundation on the occasion of Safer
Internet Day.
About the Programme
The program aims to provide digital literacy training addressing issues around privacy, safety
and misinformation to one lakh women across seven states throughout the year.

The programme will start with the state of Uttar Pradesh and expand to other states including
‘Assam, West Bengal Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Jharkhand and Bihar.
NTPC has signed an MoU with Central Pollution Control Board to provide
financial support for installation & commissioning of Continuous Ambient Air
Quality Monitoring Stations.
NTPC will provide financial support of Rs 80 crore for installation of 25 CAAQMS across 6
states and 3 Union Territories (UTS).6 States: CAAQMS will be installed in Gwalior (Madhya
Pradesh), Ranchi (Jharkhand), Patna (Bihar), Varanasi, Lucknow, Kanpur & Allahabad (all in
Uttar Pradesh [UP]), Pimpri Chinchwad (Maharashtra) and Madurai (Tamil Nadu).3 UTs:
CAAQMS will also be installed in Andaman & Nicobar Islands (Port Blair), Dadra & Nagar Haveli
(Silvassa) and Daman & Diu (Daman).
4D(U)'s Valmiki Nagar MP Baidyanath Prasad Mahto passes away
Jata Dal(United)’s Lok Sabha Member Baidyanath Prasad Mahto from Valmiki Nagar
Parliamentary Constituency passed away. He was deputy leader of the Janata Dal(United) in
the current Lok Sabha.
