    I. Listen to the following international tribal chants.

    II. Write about the following elements.
    A. Texture (solo, unison, various lines, harmonized, etc?)
    B. Rhythm (free, regular beat, changing rhythm, changing meter?)
    C. Vocal resonance/placement (chest, mouth, nasal, head…?)
    D. Vocal timbre (age: adult male, female, children…?)

    III. Write your reflection guided by the following questions. You may add more items if
    you wish.
    A. What is the effect of each chant on you? Why?
    B. If you were to choose which chant that you liked most, which one would it be and
    why?
    C. What do you think are the commonalities in the chants that you listened to?
    D. What is/are the significance/s of a chant?

    IV. Perform your own chant in class next meeting.
    Write a two-line chant re Covid -19 quarantine and perform it not less and not more
    than 90 seconds next meeting in.
