II. Course Title : Good Governance and Social Responsibility

IV. Pre-requisite : None

V. Course Description :

This course deals on the principles of good governance and its functional elements, specifically: strategic
management; risk management; audit, control, and compliance, nomination; compensation; performance evaluation;
and capability building.

VI. General Objectives:

1. Described key terms on good governance and social responsibility


2. Described good governance practices among government entities
3. Given examples of potential problems in corporate governance
4. Designed a project proposal that addresses issues in a community guided with the basic principles and
components of social responsibility
5. Compared and contrasted the highlights of the strategic plan of selected government agencies
6. Described process of risk management
7. Described the salient concepts of audit control, compliance, and nomination
8. Discussed job evaluation and pay structure, and legal requirements for pay
9. Explained appraisal processes and techniques
10. Evaluated Personnel Development Plan
