GRIDSHELL-MEMBRANE MODEL OF HYPAR OCTOPARTITE HYBRID MODULAR VAULT

A conceptual physical model has been built to demonstrate the viability to assemble a wooden latticed
diagonal gridshell-membrane canopy with two layers of intersecting sets of straight lines of round wood rods
in the Candela Style of Groined Vaulted Shells. This is the same model that I had presented previously for
the gridshell-membrane used as a vertical facade but now being used as a roof cover.

FREE FORM SPLINE ANTICLASTIC SAIL GRIDSHELL MODEL

A Physicalization Model of a free form anticlastic wooden gridshell ("TENSHELLGRIDITY") framed

within four anticlastic random curvilinear edge curves has been created to demonstrate a proof of concept to
generate two sets of spline curves in a geodesic pattern between two opposite sets of edge curves.

This model was inspired in the concept of generating a Hypar Gridshell net surfaces out of straight lines
extended between two opposite straight edge lines of a four sided boundary framework like is usually done
using only straight lines.

Here in this model, having four randomly created edge anticlastic edge curves, then we can use two directriz
straight lines along the midpoints of the four curves to generate SPLINE curves that will go from the
corresponding points of two opposite curves and that will pass along the corresponding point of the directriz
lines to then create a SPLINE GEODESIC 3D SURFACE, highly anticlastic.

This 3D spline geodesic surface is created by what I call: the "Geometrical Spline Physical Form Finding
Method"

The final 3D geodesic spline surface will be covered by a stretchable cloth that will be clamped along the
borders of the four curves. A video of the gridshell-membrane will be shown later .....
