(PGU), Sabah-Sarawak Gas Pipeline (SSGP) and The Trans Thailand Malaysia (TTM).
Peninsular Gas Utilisation (PGU) owned and operated by Petronas Gas Berhad on
behalf of its holding company Petronas. It comprising mainly of gas transmission and
pipeline in Peninsular Malaysia with total length 2,623 km. The PGU commenced in 1984
and pipeline network has the capacity to transport up to 3,500 mmscfd of gas.
Next is Sabah-Sarawak Gas Pipeline (SSGP) which owner by Petronas with 521
km length and 36 diagram onshore natural gas pipeline. The project completed and starting
operate in 2014. SSGP linked Kimanis in Sabah to Bintulu in Sarawak.
Beside that, the pipeline in Malaysia enable to take the shortcut and transportation
distance is short. The liquid can send in the short time and in large volume. Pipeline transport
in Malaysia also advantage in safe and reliable side. The pipeline can avoid bring pollution to
environment.
But, there also has some disadvantages such as difficult to find the best geographic
strategic place to build pipeline. This is because that the pipeline is big in size
